Partyhats are one of the most expensive items on Runescape according to the Grand Exchange. I want to know if any of you have one, if so do you use it for anything other than showing off to other players how wealthy you are?

 

Also has anyone ever sold one and if so was the price higher or lower than their current value on the Grand Exchange?

Nope, never had one, although those who do (who I know anyway) use it mostly for skilling, since slaying would be a lot better with a slayer helm.

I used to own a whole set, but one by one i've sold them to fund 99's. I now am down to one and as far as I know it will stay that way for life. No intention of selling it

I've owned several, years ago, all stolen by alleged friends. Haven't got one recently as I don't bot or gamble and can't afford them with the inflated price. I think the highest I ever paid for one was about 300mil for a white.

I was here when they came into the game, so I've had quite a few. Never a pink/purple though, oddly enough.

 

I ended up keeping only a red, that I sold, then bought a yellow back, then traded the yellow for a red again. Which I had until I got hacked in rsc. I used to wear it all the time. My friends told me it was weird seeing me without it on. I just liked it, wasn't showing off then.

 

Haven't had a party hat since rsc. I just sell any rares I get now, and buy something more useful.

Owned 2 Yellows awhile back, but later sold them to level up my skills.

Unfortunately not. They cost far too much :-(

I used to have several, back in my prime runecrafting days (2006/2007). I kept spending them to help fund my 99s and buy pure essence for runecrafting. I don't regret it and if I still had one today, I'd sell it as well (for the same reason). Skills have always been more important to me than items.

Well, last summer I made 2b from dicing, ye ik dicing is lame. Anyways bought a green then sold it back within 5mins. Nothing you can really do with a phat but show off.

Used to have several and up until recently I sold all of them off. Sold off my green and white about a month ago.

Owned one back when they were dropped for the holiday event.

 

I sold it a few years later as the price had gone up to a few hundred thousand and I thought I was a financial genius for doing so.

 

I still sob into a fist every time I see one...

Don't have one now and will likely never have one again, but had a yellow back when they were 8mil on a different char that died to an exploding rock -.-

During my RS time, I've had plenty of other rares but never party hat. It always costed too much. Maybe someday I can afford one, but currently I have no plans on spending all my money on it (even if I could afford one).

 

Maybe after I max all buyables/got all other gear I want and got nothing else to spend money on. Not like that would happen anytime soon, though. ;)
