Once you get up to fishing sharks... I would say that this is maybe kind of pointless. Considering all the work it would take to just get enough supplies gathered for a batch of 1k potatoes. Then all the clicking it takes to make the final product... really not worth it.

When you get full rune, all the worse armour is pretty pointless (except for the occational use when you dont want to risk your rune).

Does that mean that all the lower armour is worthless?

Yes... actually it would. lol

Think about what you just said there. The "worthless" armor is simply expendable, which would be why you would use it.

Obviously... you can't compare armor to food. Those are two really different subject matters anyways.

Not only that, but your point makes absolutely no sense.

I like these monsters! :D

They give out a lot of money and other good items (if your not good at money making), they have low defense so they are easy to hit (well I have abby whip plus 82 attack).

No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.

...so basically Jagex went and added another completely useless slayer monster :?: Wonderful...

Yes... actually it would. lol

Just because you don't understand my point that doesn't mean it makes no sense.

The new potatoes have a use in that they allow much lower leveled people access to making food with healing that before was exclusive to high levels. It's a very useful update for smaller players.

I meant worthless in the context of having a value to the game, not any one player in particular.

In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothes

I bargained for salvation and they gave me a lethal dose

I offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn

"Come in'', she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"

Everyone misses the point:

The cooking required to make this potato gives an obscene amount of experience. It's worth it to cook them and get quick cooking levels and a nifty surplus of rediculously awesome training food.

It's not intended to replace anything, just to give us more options. I for one am tired of eating fish.

Maybe you should reread what I said then. Because I recall stating that this is only useful for those people who can't fish/cook sharks. And that I'm positive of. Which still would make this update useless.

Experience is pointless really. The amount of exp you get in comparison to the time it takes probably isn't worth it anyways. Thats my prediction at least. And I haven't seen any numbers that say otherwise, yet.

A new option is great, but fish will probably always be the best. SImply because there isn't a whole lot involved in it.

I'd rather not keep discussing something off topic on this thread. Its not exactly fair to those who are here to read about what the topic suggests. I just thought I'd say my piece about this update as a whole. Wasn't expecting this to turn into an off topic debate.

EXACTLY.

Cooking corn alone gives enough exp to match lobs. Every little bit of cooking the tuna corn potato gives great exp. Very good option for free exp, when raw sharks are generally more expensive in bulk than cooked.

Drop list :

Mithril chainbody, addy med helm, uncut emerald, gold ore, coins [30, 40, 160, 320.), fire runes (30), chaos runes (15), clue scroll (unknown levels), staff of fire, jug of wine, steel full helm and axe, I think I've gotten a few other things as well, but that's all I can think of.

Cool.

Hmm... the jogres of the area drop trading sticks, so some one might have gotten just a few then came there and decided they didn't want to have to bank them. Or maybe they do drop sticks, just saying that because no one else got any yet... we shall see.

Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.
