So what are the names of the Combat/Morale/Seafaring guys in the Pincers? I have a couple of Travelling Bands and Ferocious Tiger-Riders, are they the Morale/Combats?

Why you can't look at the stats yourself when you click on them and figure it out is beyond me but:

Tigers - Combat

Bands - Morale

Harem - Seafaring

Just don't want to skip past them when I'm rerolling crew. Haven't seen any Harem.

 

Also I'm lazy. Mostly that.

You can tell rather easily by their cost though, only they cost Stainless steel, and the 6 resources look quite different.

Plate: 400k each as Pi said.

Laquer/chi: 150k each or so, 7.5m for legs.

Bones: 80k each tops, not sure since I'm saving bones for superiors now.

Spices: 3k each?

tetsu legs sold for 9m yesterday after about an hour of waiting. Tetsu prices got manually adjusted down, so now they're selling for much less.

that's incorrect. Vampyrism sells for 1m or less for 100k/bone tops.

In my (humble) opinion, you'd be better off getting a spare set of superior gears, as opposed to making tradeables; tradeables really arn't worth the time spent on them imo :?

I'm going to collect trade goods and will make tradable armours when I hit the cap.

Failed the 50 plate/lacquer voyage the other day. Second time I've failed that one. I also hate myself for having made 2 tradeable Tetsu plates. The 50m I got in total wasn't worth it at all, considering I would have full superior Tetsu by now. :<

 

Also at about 180 Chi and ~90 Lacquer, but I need 2 Seasinger scrolls and 1 Lotus scroll for the set anyway.

Some of the same people who make tradeables without making a superior set for themselves will be the same people complaining item prices are too high for high end gear.

Its better to make the tradable version and selling it as the prices are dropping quickly. I manage to sell seasinger top for 8.6m tuesday and the day before the price was at 45m.

I make and sell tradeables because I have no use for superior. It will probably stay as defensive gear after the rework coming next week, so still worthless. Regarding the prices of high end gear, ie nex gear, it's dirt cheap lol. I would only complain that it is too cheap. Pernix is 80m for full set L

This, time a hundred million. That's what I have been doing. In my honest opinion, those who are making tradeable sets are digging a hole for themselves. They should get a spare set instead of some mostly minute profit.

I have failed 5 trio story missions >.> 4 of the 50 chi one, 1 of the pre-50 plate ones...

There is effectively a price floor for tradable items though, since the untradable ones drop a fixed cash value when you die.

I still don't understand why people are choosing 5M over what is one of the best armours in the game. At that level, surely you can make 5M easily? If my bank lost 5M, I probably wouldn't even notice it.

Because people see monetary value as more important to leveling versus the gear. Eventually when you get to my point in the game you kind of understand those people, but at the same time you want to shake your head because of their ignorance.

I'd probably agree too, if I didn't care so little about money and lot about gear.

 

The way I see it, there are a million and one ways to earn cash in the game (some ways make so much money that income PoP will eventually hardly make a dent in that process), but there is only one way to get PoP armor in the game, doing PoP.

 

The recent manual adjustment of PoP armor prices right now completely reinforces this for me, months of work for something that could be earned in a matter of hours? No thanks. I'd rather have something that is there when I need it rather than something that isn't.

So yeah I sent out todays missions of 5 plate special, 5 plate regular and a half-assed attempt on 5 bones. If all my plate voyages succeed I'll be 1 plate from tetsu legs. I also got a 6 chi out at the moment.
