That's part of the dead 'goblin raid' content they released a lil while back.

 

Also, need 5k seafaring for 100% success on my scroll voyage..

Looks like that'll be my last voyage of the day :D

In regards to the buttons 4 pages back, the problem is that the ticks are .6 seconds, so anything that has to sequentially go through selections is a pain because it can only ever update that fast. Thinks like sliders, drop down menues, and boxes allow the game to present your client with all the possible options, and then wait for the client to get back to it with your selection, rather than hammering on a button and needing to wait to see the result of your actions. In miscellania you can add/remove several workers per tick, but it doesn't show until the next one, and there is no way to select the value you want strait up.

Looks like I lucked out with a 5,000 combat mission, from what I see the easiest stat to get.

Fun update so far. Too bad I missed out on the first day so I haven't unlocked the skull region yet.

 

It says the Whaler is in port. Any idea what that means? I've won the mission to get him..

Anyone know why it says "No voyage available" for all three of the slots, even though it says I have twelve voyages available? This is in the regular voyage tab, not the special mission one.

 

Try refreshing the voyages. That or logging out worked for me.

Tried this out last night. Thanks for the advice about buying ship upgrades. Only advice I can offer is to rotate your captains (if you get three or more with only 2 ships) so they're all balanced when you get a third ship. If you can support 100%, rotate your crew so the lower skilled members get training. Always have five crew members.

 

By the way, have people been collecting questions that Meg asks for her adventure for the week? My questions were about thieving from Duke of Lumbridge, I answered slowly over time (other options were disguise and cannon bombardment). Surviving in the wilderness, I answered fishing (other option was fishing and something else. Getting through dense growth, I answered use a knife (other option was use a sword).

 

I know it's called Player Owned Ports, but I hope they're able to make it a shared location so all players are in the area (you just see your own upgrades, not the other players). That combined with a bank in the area could make this a nice social gathering place.

imo next big update should be allowing us to actually see the Eastern Lands for ourselves... then not only would we be deciding how to manage our crews, we'd also get to participate directly in the voyages! ! ! !

 

really the only reason I say that is so 100% success missions stop failing lol

i wouldn't even need a crew for that mission, all they have to do is tie me to the bow

 

well, at least i recruited the sirens

 

I haven't failed a mission or anything yet, so could someone tell me how/what happens when you fail? How does crew die? How does your ship get damaged? Can you lose a ship?

 

Crew dies if fail, don't know how many, shit damaged if fail but you can pay the black market guy to fix it instead of waiting. You can lose a captain.

based on anecdotes i've collected, here's the stack, based on how close your luck was:

 

- if you failed by a tiny margin, your crew survives and it gets exp. the mission will say it was partly completed. no loot, though.

- if you fail by a bit of a larger margin, your crew survives, but has nothing to show for it.

- if you fail by a pretty big margin, your ship gets damaged, and you might lose a crew member.

- if you fail massively, you'll lose more than one crew member, and possibly your captain. the ship will need extensive repairs.

 

I'm assuming this, but if one of your crew members has the ability to sacrifice themselves to save somebody, they'll favor the captain over the other crewmembers. The lifeboat item guarantees the survival of your crew, but it's a oneshot item like the others.

Implying they, for some reason don't carry a lifeboat anyway.
