The regular versions have slightly lower stats but can't be repaired. Right now, The Saucy Susan is on a voyage for the biologist. Wonder what he gives you? Any ideas how to use him, or what he gives you?From what I understand all completing the voyage to meet the special adventurers does is unlock the ability for them to visit your port. IMO the only problem with this update is I've already run out of voyages for the day and I'm only using two ships with hardly any speed upgrades. You unlock the chance to recruit him on the crew roster. He isn't automatically acquired. (and they can removed by admins if need be) So really if someone wants to call there ships "[bleep]unub" then that's there choice.But I do get where your coming from. All but one had over 75%, including one that was rocking an 84% success chance. Kind of bugged me, but if it keeps the newer armors and materials more rare, then I'm up for the challenge. Considering you only get a set amount of voyages every day there's going to be a minimum amount of days/months before any of the new items make it into the game.
