I personally want to hop over to Bandos side just to get the overrides, but I fear that when I switch back I'll no longer have my Dragon Armadylian token.

You can't swap sides post-event nor can you get the overrides or fragments to make them so if that is what he meant it is even more of a lost cause.

I just finished completing all 8 cosmetic overrides about 15 minutes ago.

I think I grossly underestimated convoys, as I was able to get ~500 frags done per ~40-50 minutes.

 

Glad I'm done with those, though, since it would have greatly annoyed me to have had obtained the overrides from both sides in BoL, but not in this one.

If you need Frags, convoys are the way to go.

 

Find a low populated world (not hard now days!!) & you should be able to take down a whole convoy on your own - I've been getting an average of 500 Frags per day doing this.

well, you can't even switch over post event, much less be able to make any more progress, so i don't really see how that would be any different

WIll the store be there after the event ended? I have all my renown saved up for lamps.

Should be, based on bol they will be stood around for at least a month or so after the event for last purchases.

Well if that's the case I think I'll stick with hunting convoys. Also a good tip for hunters is to use the world map and not the actual token map. You can watch for exactly where the convoys are at.

A combo of the two maps work well combined with goblin village spheres or clan vex (depending on side) as a supplement to the 10 token teles.

The war map can show you where it is or was, allowing you to find it a bit quicker on the world map and see where it's heading; then use the war map from base to get there quick.

 

Lumby tabs, varrock tabs, falador tabs, combat brace (i think thats the one), skull sceptre and glory all offer good ways to get places faster than lodestones can muster.

The captain's log puts you pretty close to some areas as well.

Frankly the convoys are slow enough you can miss a node or so just to get within running range.

There was talk about how low levels were overpowered in PvP recently, so I took my 83 mage 25 defence account, bought a vwand/book and did some pking/convoy killing...

 

It was kind of insane to say the least, don't think I died aside from a dc and being piled by ~10 people, was doing the same sort of damage that I was doing on my main, with seismics/tectonic. Ended up having to hop a lot though because people complained about me pking them. :wall:

Yeah this was so goddamn retarded. I got killed by a level 78 person with a dragon 2h sword, when I was wearing t90 gear.

Brews also become extremely OP healing for them.

So annoying! I didn't train my char up to max combat just so some low def players can get boosted stats to kill me. Just to clarify, I'm blaming Jagex and the boost, not the players.

I think instead of a discount this time we are getting the renown cap boost.

But last time we got a renown cap boost AND discount as the end came in close.

 

Plus at this stage logic would suggest we wouldn't be getting any further cap boost (despite what mod michelle said at one point) because by Jagex's own calendar the event ends today so by rights the game update today, tomorrow or wednesday will end things (presumably along with the slayer changes from bts)

Where did you hear that? Several J mods have said it won't end till we get the weekly update, which should be tomorrow.

I have to say that scaled combat totally sucks. Period. It’s ridiculous to have trained to max combat and made/earned top gear, only to be killed by someone in Rune Armour and a Dragon Scimmy.  <_<

 

Nonetheless, we’ve been having fun on W42 – some [bottom-headgeared] individual threw down the gauntlet on the RSOF, and made claims that they were going to chase us Bandosians from the battlefield. So, we’ve responded in game …
