Urza285 514 Posted September 11, 2014 More cystal pickaxe and hatchet info: Restrictions: * Require a dragon hatchet/pickaxe, to inherit rarity and keep it valuable.* Can be stored in the toolbelt - won't degrade.* Tools can’t be removed from the toolbelt.* We only have time to do a crystal hatchet and pickaxe - no imcando/gilded crystal. Getting it: * Give Lady Ithell a dragon hatchet/pickaxe to get the crystal version. (Thematically "upgrading" this tool to a crystal hatchet/pickaxe.)* You'll also need to give her a large quantity of harmonic dust, once for the crystal hatchet and once for the crystal pickaxe. This cannot be reclaimed.* Unlike most crystal tools, the crystal hatchet/pickaxe won't degrade. You'll be able to store it in your toolbelt.* You'll be able to replace a dragon hatchet/pickaxe already in your toolbelt with a crystal hatchet/pickaxe. If it’s a gilded dragon pickaxe, it’ll be replaced with a crystal pickaxe.* Note if you put a dragon or crystal pickaxe in your toolbelt, you will not be able to withdraw it to create an imcando pickaxe.* Only the dragon hatchet and dragon pickaxe can be exchanged for a crystal hatchet/pickaxe. Additional services: * Disassemble an imcando pickaxe and give you back its component parts: Imcando pickaxe fragment 1-4, gilded dragon pickaxe, 1m coins, empty pie dish. (Thurgo ate the redberry pie.)* Remove the gilding from a gilded dragon pickaxe (just like Foreman Jaak).* Revert the crystal hatchet/pickaxe to a dragon hatchet/pickaxe (including if it’s in your toolbelt). If you upgraded a gilded pick, it'll revert to one. Crystal hatchet bonuses: * Small increase in Woodcutting rate over the dragon hatchet (no more than the difference between rune and dragon).* x2 chance of getting shattered heart and golden shattered heart rocks. Crystal pickaxe bonuses: * A small increase in Mining rate over the dragon pickaxe (no more than the difference between rune and dragon).* x2 chance of getting shattered heart and golden shattered heart rocks. Sy_Accursed 1554 Posted September 11, 2014 Well it appears they smothered it with a great big coating of 'we will give no-one a single reason to complain for once so stfu' cream on the whole concept. Urza285 514 Posted September 16, 2014 Divination dnd dev blog update: - Update 16/09/14 Firstly, thank you all for your feedback on our initial post. It has been really helpful! Here are some of the major changes we have made based on it: We have put some thought into how the DnD rewards can also cater for those who already have 99 Divination. Our current ideas are to give a boost to crafting Divination items or a boost to divine locations, as well as some kind of physical object, but we would welcome all of your ideas! We have adjusted the frequency of the DnD to spawn every 3 hours instead of every hour. We refrained from making it random as we felt that could be frustrating if you miss it, whereas if it's regular you can plan when you want to do it. To start revealing a bit more information, we've decided to give you an outline of the theme we've chosen for the content. The DnD will take place in areas known as 'Guthix caches'. These are areas which were hidden by Guthix, and are now being revealed as his power drains. When a cache spawns, the energy rifts at the Divination training areas will react, and players will be able to enter the DnD by jumping into the rift! The cache will not be instanced, and there will be one open at a time per world - so we're hoping they'll be fairly busy! The interaction inside the cache will be suitably themed around Guthix and Divination, but we'll leave you guessing for now :)! Finally, there were a few questions in the feedback we wanted to answer: "Will there be different levels of DnD or will the XP be scaled?"We are planning to scale your XP reward to your level to ensure the D&D is suitably rewarding for everyone. "Will the DnD use items?"We are not planning to force players to carry DnD specific items as we appreciate inventory space is important when training Divination. "pick another skill pls."Well, that's why we did a poll, and Divination won :). [about fixes] "They all get lower priority because the Ninja Team is busy with Non-Ninja work."This isn't true at all! We are still putting the same amount of effort into ninja improvements as ever. You may have noticed they have been fewer in number recently as we have been working on suggestions that require a larger amount of dev time but are still popular and have a big impact. You saw some of these in yesterday’s patch notes (e.g. adding hoods to capes and toggling the login/out message were both larger than usual in terms of development time and effort) and there’ll be more to come! Quality > quantity ;). Thanks for reading, and we look forward to hearing your reward ideas! - The information above is subject to change during development. Sy_Accursed 1554 Posted September 16, 2014 I'm not sure if I like the idea of Guthix having 'caches' hidden around - seems kinda at odds with the idea that he tried to be forgotten and hide away and was asleep for the majority of his time here. Though of the other hand they could be a good way to throw in some 1st age lore - world mostly empty wouldnt be to hard to hide stuff and tht was when guthix was active. strilmus 753 Posted September 16, 2014 Right, Guthix was super active as a new god, but as he saw what happened afterwards, he stuck all of his crap into hiding and shattered the sword before going into hibernation. Given the crazy amount of power he accumulated over the years, this situation isn't that implausible.
Sy_Accursed 1554 Posted September 16, 2014 Right, Guthix was super active as a new god, but as he saw what happened afterwards, he stuck all of his crap into hiding and shattered the sword before going into hibernation. Given the crazy amount of power he accumulated over the years, this situation isn't that implausible. Sword shattering pertains to 3rd age and the slumber 2.0 - you dam kids will get outta my world, not the 1st age slumber 1.0 - ugh they are worshipping me #fail. Not a 100% fact, but all evidence would suggest it:Sword location: entrance to slumber 2.0 location.Sword power: portals between worlds = bad when you are trying to seal a world off.Sword of edicts: Seems likely the sword of edicts is some how linked with the elder sword given the sheer power and the closeness of their functions.Lack of care for elder artefacts in slumber 1.0: When Guthix arrived on Gielinor the staff, horn and stone were here and known to him. He left them lying around whilst he slumber so that mortals found the stone and got magic, armadyl found the staff and claimed it and the horn (seemingly) went off world to ascend Marimbo and then came back again to be obtained by Quinn. Also he didn't even explore enough to find the Kiln. No.Being near the stone does not enrage the kin.The stone being used enrages the kin. Also we were given quite a detailed account of how he used the Staff of Armadyl alongside the kin to find the stone, it wasn't some hotter colder game of waving a kin around looking for it - which wouldn't work in the first place. Also yes it would be possible the stone landed in a hidden cache, but the odds are severely against it of all the possible co-ordinate combinations on the entire planet the vast majority are not going to land in any kind of open space, constructed or otherwise. Plus I don't think from a narrative viewpoint there is any reason for the stone to of been anywhere other than randomly buried - it doesn't add anything to the narrative arc since the stone was hidden for such a short timeframe and even it did land in somewhere long hidden Sliske shadow realmness means its arrival and removal could be done with no trace left behind in the environment Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Blofeld 60 Posted October 1, 2014 Familiar update looks good, its pretty much just quality of life and not graphical. The main fixes are: Combat familiars will now auto attack as soon as you engage an enemy, if you are under ttack they will also automatically enage that enemyYou can give a familiar scrolls so that it auto uses them, and you can set the rate at which it uses themObelisks will now heal familiarsThe summoning tab has been reworked to look betterIts going to be out Monday. Hopefully it should help with rush of blood quite a bit!
