It is in the Archive of Wisdom sticky at the top of the General P2P forum. I am pleased that many of you enjoy this guide. That it has become the resource to many Slayers make me proud. I will work to enhance and expand this guide as needed, but know that this is intended to be an advanced Slayer's guide. I do not aspire for it to be the everything guide to Slayer. That is why I link you to tip.its official skill guide. Anyhow, I'm still praying for a lvl 95 required slayer monster that drops the dragon whip or dragon boots. Until then I am spending most of my time mining or getting insanely easy prayer exp on world 78 pest control. They slow down the slayer task but bring in rewards. Did they bother you for your slayer training? 2. How did you get rid of your drops? Did you have an effecient system? I'm now 83 slayer and the drops are now piling up. 40 or so rune full helmets, Black mystic tops, rune boots, g mauls etc. Did you take time to merchant? Sell them cheap? Use forums? kirerev Posted May 23, 2006 Share Posted May 23, 2006 nice guide. idk if this is already posted but its pretty easy to kill abberants with guthans. whenever you are on 40hp or lower go down the lvl 61 shortcut and heal up on crawling hands. you will heal very fast on them. after you are healed just dont forget to put your nose peg on again and then climb up the shortcut again to kill abberants. Any efficient system? While pushing for 99 slayer i didn't do my clues. Only 1 out of 10 is ever any good and there was more money to be made from a whip or rune boot drop than what I could potentially get from a clue scroll. Plus, as I wasn't a dragon slayer many of my clues would take me to the legends area jungle which I couldnt access. So I had to drop them. Then they came out with the new treasure trail update,more variety in clues means a reduced chance for me to be sent to legends. So now that I am 99 slayer I will do them just for something fun to do. To answer your question though, no, i don't reccomend doing them as they do slow you down a great deal. When I did do them I got maybe 3 assignments done a day, when I didn't 7+. As to drops, I sold whips and rune boots right after the assignment I got them on. Rune helms, lava battlestaves, half keys, mauls, and mystics I just left in my bank until I saw somene buying it. If you go try sell it you won't usually find a buyer right off, so you will lower your price until it sells. At that point you are one of the people responsible for our slayer items becoming worthless. So instead of unloading them I just kept em to give to noobs, friends, and drop parties. It really isn't worth the headache of trying to merchant your lower items unfortuneately. Time wasted in fally is time better spent killing. I was messing around with my cannon to try to find a good spot to cannon multiple ones at the same time. Even though it's crowded there a lot, being able to attack on on your own with range while your cannon circles to catch other fire giants for you, i had no trouble at all getting 2 at once, with a possible 3 when i was lucky with how far my cannon had already rotated. the best thing with the whole location is that your cannon fires 2 shots at the giant cought in the first spot, still hits the middle one, and even hits 2 shots and the rarer (but barely) third spot. that's 7 cannon shots in one rotation which is quite decent. both imageshack and tinypic were down, so i've only got a geocities link for you :S if interested in the image, we can work something out. EDIT: can't post the geocities link. i'll have to get the image for you once i can get either of the above are working for me again. any comments, hints, veiws, reasons why not to or anything at all? please private message me with it since it's a hassle keeping track of a load of topics. Id love to go slaying with someone like you sometime, would be real cool. But one thing that I didnt see was Skeletal Wyverns. Ive been wanting to kill those, I heard that they had good drops. Now 5 months later i,m restarting again, first i want to get enough money, do all these quests, buy all these required items, and then ill get 71-85 in no time!! Madouge Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 Can I jsut say, I find that turoths are really good monsters to fight, I use bones to peaches and i always have too many bones, the rarely do substantial damage, drop elvel 3 clue scrolls and white mystic bottoms, and they also drop more than enough nature runes to cover the cost of bones to peaches. I ended up having to go through the agility shortcut and kill basilisk in order to heal. That coupled with the fact that they are very slow to kill with the spear makes it my opinion that they arent worth my time. If you like em, do em. I don't.
