omg guys i'm scared! last night, i had a dream. a lvl 103 gave me his acount and i took it and used it. i looked in the bank and there were 2 cats :?: and 4mill. in my dream i remembered reading this forum (that is probably what caused my mind to process these thoughts). so i didn't drop trade and actually took his stuff and put it on my main. then a day later (still in my dream, sometimes they take place over a week to a month) i got a phone call that a guy kept saying "u are dead. u are dead". :ohnoes: then i woke up.

Man, Got a good chuckle out of the Scammer that tried to steal my pass.

Yeh my little brother was being scammed 30 mith ore (not much but anyways) and the guy offered rune legs and took em out at the last moment. So my little bro realized and the other guy same woops so he tried again. But he accidentally traded the rune legs and was then saying "no no no trade back!" lol....But recently my bro was scemmed out of two sets of full rune.....he is only 9

First time in my life I got scammed lmao, I dont care though, it was only full black, she puts up rune pick as a note, I look at it, it says rune, she hits accept first, I look at it again, it's still rune, I look over at my dogs for like, 2 secnods, look back and hit accept, she hits accept again and I do too.. but at last second, I see it says iron pick.. I don't care though lol, it's only full black, I got the money back in about 10 seconds from selling.. funny though.

THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST CLOSE THING ON MY LIFE TO BEING SCAM ,,,I WAS AT FALLY BANK SELLING A FULL BLACK (IM GETTING AN ADDY :thumbsup: ) AND A GUY TOLD ME HE WAS BUYING IT SO HE GOT TRADE AND OFFERED 50K HE LOOKED DESPERATE SO I CHECKED LIKE 4 TIMES, THEN I JUST GET UP TO CHANGE CHANNEL ON T.V AND I ALMOST HIT ACCEPT BUT HALF SECOND BEFORE I LOOKED AND IT LOOKED FULL BLACK/100GP AND THEN DECLINED REPORTED HIM AND DID A LOT OF LOLS TO HIM.

I was in varrock, and a lvl 38 joe is giving away 8 mil and a santa hat. First, he asks where he is from. A lvl 98 bob says Indonesia, and gets the 8 mil. Next, we have to give him the best item and we will win the santa hat. Joe wins AGAIN. 38 ALSO gives all the scammed objects to joe- now an obvious scamming partner. Mage then logs out, logs onto Smitty(38's main) and asks to 'buy' some of his items. And then bob gives the items he had to Smitty. Smitty is a member, lvl 98. when i was like lvl 40, i was still a noob and tried to buy a rune scimmy. A guy put down a rune scimmy and i put all this stuff that i though was worth it. then he accepted and i was so happy i didnt notice that he had changed it to a mith scimmy. i lost all my stuff. :(

One of the things I've always wanted to do against the "Jagex blocks your pass!" scammers is to type up a random password-like word and have them spend ages figuring it out why the so called password didn't work. :twisted:

Ah, by far my favorite was when the Draynor Maynor vines were still there... I got lured in and managed to make my way out, but hung out for a bit. In less than 10 minutes and I had 2.8M and a santa hat (Santas were 500k at the time)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then I proceded to spend it all trying to merchant, and found myself with only 1 mill.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh, and at one point I had two santas for 500k each and a blue mask for 150k, but I proceeded to sell those atleast 50k under what I had bought them for.

I was somewhere (don't remember where) and I got a PM from "Jag Santa4"

 

 

 

He had told me I could get any item I want, or up to 500k gp. We went through quite a bit, including a question he asked before I could get my 'prize'

 

 

 

Something along the lines of: What is the largest city in runescape?"

 

 

 

I replied Varrock, since that was the largest f2p city (didn't remember to look in members areas) and he said no. I said Falador, and that was right ( :-s )

 

 

 

Eventually we got to the infamous part (along these linse)

I'd been telling a friend about this as it went along. At this part, the friend told me it was a scam. With his help I managed to not get scammed out of my account \

Once I saw some guy named "Rs-something-" and he was following some guy around telling him to give him full Rune. Then he just starts blathering on about "Failure to comply will be an automatic ban." or something. Then he just starts attempting to scam really bad. (He didn't even put a high amount on the first trade screen and automatically put up 10gp.) Then he started asking people their password and once again threatening to ban. :lol:

So this dude says buying whip 3M. i trade him and he offers worrior ring. i think then a guy says buying worrior ring 3M i accept and run to the guy whow as buying worrior. the guy who was buying the whip siad "log off now" and they both logged off. it was a sad sad day..... :cry:

never been scammed [*knocking on woord*] but once when i was merchating whip s when they were 2.6 mil, i typed in too many 0's and ended up giving him 3.5 mil ish for a while, boy did i feel stupid. I just said "WHoops, o well, enjoy the money". .... I'm a very good looser.
