August 17, 200619 yr I could care less if peeps stole my arrows, but it's when they say they are collecting them to give them back, and I am planning on giving them some sort of cash prize, then they say something along the lines of "haha! noob! free 1k steel arrows for meh!", that's when i get pissed off! Quality posting at its finest.
August 17, 200619 yr The person whom I quoted mentioned pocketing a 20 that someone had dropped. I merely responded to that comment. Anywho, if you want to be a rude and ignorant moron (As most arrow thieves are) then more power to you. Even if it is perfectly legal, hasn't anyone heard of decency? Thanks, I will, and happily : As for decency, I don't treat people who whine about people picking up their arrows with decency. If you want your arrows, run out and get them or bring air runes or an air staff and laws to Telegrab. That's what I do when I range, and I can't see why you think it's SO complicated. If you're going to complain, at least do something about it. Yes I am a girl. No, I won't be your girlfriend.
August 17, 200619 yr its good and bad to me. Its ok most times because if they want theior arrows, they would have went and picked them up. I don't mind when people steal my arrows. Its not bad because if they wnat em they shopul;d pick it up. its there on the ground for everyone to have. fair game once it shows. if they want it they hsould hve picket it up already. And when someone is powerranging its completely ok ebcause those arrows would be better put to use in someone else's hands then just disappearing Doing a little bit of everything
August 17, 200619 yr You simply prove my point. The whole idea behind what I said is that arrow thieves are selfish. The reason for the decline in the general runescape population is due to selfish people such as yourself. You "honestly don't care, as long as I get my training done :^_^:" because your are a selfish person aka another person bringing the rs community down. As to the rl vs. rs comment: the logic used to defend "theft" on a game is the same logic used to defend "theft" irl. Both are wrong and selfish while still remaining technically legal. Few people do not understand the concept that arrow stealing isn't illegal; the point is that its selfish. Regardless of how you choose to defend your actions it still boils down to you choosing your own happiness and pleasure over another person's... aka yet another person making the general community worse than it was before you arrived. ~Sigh~ Allright, I know when I'm beaten. However, in my own defence, I DO give back arrows above steel if the owner of them asks nicely. Unless they say I CAN keep them. Yes I am a girl. No, I won't be your girlfriend.
August 17, 200619 yr If everyone can see the arrows, they belong to whomever gets them first. If Jagex had wanted it any other way, they would have programmed it as such. This smacks of the hubristic noob calls when a player uses prayer in the wilderness. It's how the game is programmed. As much as altruism is admirable, and occasionally present, it isn't a law. We all work within the confines of the rules or laws of the game/society, and any griping is just that. We all make our choices with full consent, and it behooves us to take responsibility for those choices - and not pass the buck to someone else. Let's be honest: theft is hacking, not picking up arrows visible to everyone.
August 17, 200619 yr When those arrows appear on the ground they are not yours anymore, once they appear to everyone they are up for grabs. It would be the same if u threw santa hats and u didn't pick it up in time, someone would obviously grab it. If you can't kill the monster in the time period when the arrows only appear to you, then it's your fault, not theres. so your saying if you cant kill a kbd in the time it takes for the arrows to appear its your fault. lol the noobiest thing ive ever heard. seriously. http://www.boom
August 17, 200619 yr i dont mind them, it makes less work for me cause if they sit there to long i feel like going and grabbing them again, pretty much theyre just keeping RuneScape cleaner for us :D 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.
August 17, 200619 yr Well, in some cases it is rude but the arrows were on the ground, so its free game. That's why I do it all the time  I wonder how low youre range is, you obviously havent done a lot of ranging :\ When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
August 17, 200619 yr personly i have mixed feelings. if im at ogres training im not gonna pick them up anyway so if they wanna waste their time picking my arrows since im not power to them  However, if im at like fire giants or blue drags people picking up arrows can be annoying i could easily pick them up after i kill the monster :x
August 18, 200619 yr it's annoying but it's allowed because it's ur own responsibility to collect them, so wen i train range i just use cannon lawl (usually for slayer) and crystal bows so i don't have to worry bout it n e more :)

Let's be honest: theft is hacking, not picking up arrows visible to everyone. I encourage you to read... the last 6 pages. People with the lazy/apathetic views such as those above simply contribute to the problem. Blaming it on "game/society" does not defend an individual's choice to add to the disease. Using your logic a woman should never wear anything revealing since it would be her fault for inciting rape. Your example states that you should always pick up your arrows because it is not the theft's fault that they stole them. Apparently blaming the "criminal" party for the crime is passing the buck, right? :wall: PM me in game to use some skills of mine (glories/potions) free or to ask a question.Fire Cape - 04/29/06 Lvl 104RAHK's Pro PC Gear and Guide(clickable) Tired of hack and slash? August 18, 200619 yr I never get arrows "stolen" from me because i dont train where theres other people, if you're that bothered use spots other people dont use, there are actually plenty of places to train range without the fear of arrow "stealing", plus if they steal say 30 of your arrows, and most people (well i do) train with steel/iron its not much of a loss, i understand the principal of it all and if someone took some arrows that were mine i'd ask for them back.
August 18, 200619 yr I've seen alot of people who don't pick up their arrows, but get mad when other people do it. Thats just stupid In my opinion, half of what people call arrow theives are just taking what others don't want The other half are the kinds that take the arrows of people with lower range levels, who take longer to kill their monsters, mainly just to aggravate them, these people, I hate. They're the same kind of idiots who pk runecrafters who can't fight back.
August 18, 200619 yr Sometimes I don't make it in time and a noob gets my arrows, they then laugh at me for hours and add me to laugh at me some more! Click for blog!Watch great videos! http://uk.youtube.com/profile?user=plod64
August 18, 200619 yr Cost of an iron arrow - 25gp Cost of a rune arrow - 400gp The enjoyment of really bugging a player whose range level is too low for killing a (insert fire giant/blue dragon/etc...) and is polluting the floors of Runescape with their pile of arrows that I am cleaning up for them - Priceless  Daemos "prince of arrow thieves" Magen 99 Range (mostly from "your" arrows) 90 Slayer (serves you right for taking my spawning site) Spam away, lol Why is "Your" in quotations but "My" isn't? Are you saying that arrows belong to no one but you own a particular training spot?
August 18, 200619 yr The only time i've trained range was in Tutorial Island. Never liked it, never will. , But sometimes when the person i am training with is acting all immature i'd glady take their arrows.
August 18, 200619 yr Heh, I could care less if people take my arrows. I use crystal bow mostly now anyway. But even when I do use regular arrows I don't pick them up, cause it slows down exp. So I could care less if people steal them.
August 19, 200619 yr Why is "Your" in quotations but "My" isn't? Are you saying that arrows belong to no one but you own a particular training spot? Wow! You got that from reading my post? Aren't you the smarypants O:) Are all of you REALLY taking this as a serious topic? Did someone earlier actually compare this with assaulting women? They are just pixels, right? Try saying "It's a game, only a game" 10 times fast. And no, you still can't have "your" arrows back, lol.
August 19, 200619 yr If it isn't against the rules, of course i will do it!!! Actually not Its just cause im a nice person i dont steal. Then how is my theiving level 30? :-k The corp beast, is, well, just a corp beast. He doesnt even have any friends.[spoiler=Other Quotes]tbh idk why this makes me laugh so hardAll DFS threads turn into efficiency flame wars >.>>OP asks "why use DFS?">everyone says "there is no reason">someone says "stop bashing people who use DFS, efficiency troll ass clown">thread is now a flame fest
August 19, 200619 yr I don't pick up other people's arrows and i expect them not to steal mine too. Of course i can't expect them to play by my rules. I use bronze arrows all the time. Anyone low enough to even steal bronze arrows is a true jerk Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
August 19, 200619 yr I can proudly say I'm a lvl 122 arrow thief :) if I see something on the floor you'll be damned if you don't see me running to try and grab it first! If you want your stuff pick it up off the ground and don't complain when others touch it, plain and simple.
August 19, 200619 yr JAgex say in their own bloody KB that it is fine, so it's fine with me (although i won't do it myself) If someone picks up my arrows is that scamming? No, if someone picks up an item that you have dropped because you no longer require the item then this is not item scamming. When you drop an item it takes a short length of time until it becomes visible to other players, so even if you drop the item accidentally you can still retrieve it again before anyone else has the chance to pick it up. However, you may not drop items with the intention of trading them to another of your characters. This type of drop-trading is against Rule 8 in the rules of conduct. Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
August 19, 200619 yr Wow! This merely proves my point. If someone is capable of transgressing society's accepted general morality ("theft" is a no-no for most societies) over something as simple and unimportant as a GAME what can you expect from them when they come to something in their life that isn't SIMPLE and IS important? And the thought that you could go against your morals when it is convenient for you simply indicates that you do not really have any. Your ACTUAL beliefs do not change on a daily basis; they are basically "hard-wired" into your head. While they can change it requires a rather large effort and/or life-altering event to happen. So unless you play runescape with those "adapted morals" (thereby altering your beliefs) no more than once or twice a year, you are in denial when it comes to your lack of morality. JAgex say in their own bloody KB that it is fine, so it's fine with me (although i won't do it myself) If you took the time to actually read this thread you would know that has been posted SEVERAL times before and that is NOT the point of this discussion. People may "feel" like they are being scammed but they know that it is legal. The discussion is not about the LEGALITY; but rather the MORALITY. I am glad that you do not do it either way, lol. August 19, 200619 yr I don't like when people steal my arrows so I never steal other peoples arrows. Unless that person is being a major moron then I'll steal and taunt them until they change worlds. \ exact same as me.
