annoying things about your family

Featured Replies

well, my family was particularily annoying today, so i thought i'd make this topic and see what other people's familys are like. get a few laughs...

anyways, i don't know where to start but here's a few

my brother is always chewing things.... i swear, one time he chewed a big indent into my dinky (a while ago)

my other brother is always... himself... that enough makes me wanna knock the wind out of him (i'll go into detail later i'm going to sleep soon -.- )

anyways, i wanna hear your stories!

Yayyyyyy...

::' I love my family!!

For the most part.

What's a dinky?.... :-s

@ rose, i think its a plug...

My mothers sisters are all crazy... and it gets annoying around family reunion times.. :| i try to go hide in a hole for the day...

My dad is extremely formal. I am extremely unformal.

This leads to me trying to escape the house without him saying goodbye, and trying to sneak in without him saying hello.

I don't get it. Explain.

As for my family, they're very disruptive. I doubt a week can pass without at least a few arguments, and I have a hard-to-study environment since rooms are not soundproof and close together.

My dad, argh...

Dad: Blah blah blah

Me: *says something unimportant*

Dad: WHAT??

Me: Nothing.

Dad: You said something!!

Me: Nevermind...

Dad: Tell me what you said!!!

"apinagez... let me

My family all has IQs under 110, but mine is 139. Which apparently means I HAVE TO FIX EVERYTHING.

Gets annoying when they try to do math/work on a computer (let the @!$#$#% page load for 5 second, Christ!) /a lot of other things. I'm always the guy they go to, so that eats a lot of my free time.

I can't joke around with my dad.. I've tried and he takes all my jokes too seriously and has even threatened to ground me because he didn't think I was joking! Ah well, that's what I have friends for..

My parents are always yelling at me from the basement to bring them something, let the dogs outside/inside, etc.

My brother insists on having the tv on no matter what.. Even when he's listening to music. And the tv always has to be turned to cartoons..

My mom likes to tell me to do something and trail off in the middle.. And still expect me to do it. "Ryan, could you run to the.. and.." This is possibly the most annoying thing she does..

I'm sure I'll find more.. Until then, enjoy.

Let's see.. my dad smokes, yells and drinks(sometimes a little too much, which puts me in the situation where it's all 3 at once.. always focused on me)

my mom is self-centered and crazy

my bro is always craving for attention since my parents got a divorce.

And I'm suppose to be some masterful person who is able to juggle everything, get straight A's, and be both of their ideal child(since my bro can't after all the [cabbage] they put him through)

my parents want me to get straight A's, or atleast keep my grades up (which i'm doing, all A's except for my C, maybe a B now in algebra) and they want me to be on a bunch of sports teams... but then they never pay attention to me cause theyre focused on disciplining Deloria, which isn't really a bad thing but i feel kinda left out sometimes :? anyways, just so you guys know im ending all of my posts with the cool smiley from now on lol 8-)

brother: idiot (he tried playing the saxophone and didnt even get past the first note... noob)

cousin: idiot for WAY too many reasons ( she thinks that the name wasington has to do everything with the president george washington carver, Washington the state, also denzel washington! :wall: )

dad: eh bit odd (when i ask him whats for dinner he says hugs & kisses)

mom: what could you say about a cop from mobile?

me: the only normal person in my house that plays the saxophone (right)

the president george washington carver

Either you forgot a comma or you're misinformed. George Washington Carver was not a president. George Washington, however, was a president.

"apinagez... let me

Oh boy... Let me introduce you all to my family! ^_^

My twin brother- He's never here. Always at a friend's house or something. When he IS here, he argues constantly with my dad. His hobbies include playing Runescape and coming into my room to ask me questions. "Kayla, what's the atomic symbol for gold?", "Are the people on Judge Joe Brown paid actors?" "I put my cell phone's language in Spanish. You know Spanish. Could you put back into English?" I love my brother. Him and I get along very well... for the most part.

My 13 year old sister- She likes Wrestling. WRESTLING! And we share a room. -_- Everytime Wrestling comes on, she comes in here to watch it, turns the TV up to ear shattering levels, and then proceeds to talk even louder on the phone the whole time. She is CONSTANTLY on the phone or on My Space. Often both at once. If, for some miracle, she isn't on the computer, she's arguing with my parents or trying to be "gangsta" and "emo". She has VERY annoying friends as well.

My mom- Finds a new song to sing everyday. Used to be a hippie. I think she smoked alot of grass, though she won't admit to it. She teaches Special Education at my school, just at the Elementary part though. The children in her class are the spawn of Satan himself, therefore she's always stressed out. She's taking online courses to further her degree, so she's always calling me into her room to help her type papers and having me fix something that went wrong. It can get annoying when she keeps messing up. >.<

My dad- Him and I are alot alike, minus his anger problems. He's always yelling at someone in the family, most likely my brother or sister. He's always telling me to do something such as clean up the kitchen, or my room. If he's not doing that, he's trying to talk to me about my future, which is alright sometimes, not all the time. I can get along with him well, I just hate it when he yells.

My more extended family is much more annoying, so I won't get into that. I live in a very noisy, and busy environment. :P

Hmm, lets see here:

Sister: Not the smartest person (just pure IQ wise) but studys a lot and gets very involved. Nearly the opposite of me and my brother, which don't study and don't get involved in activites. Other than that she can be anoying sometimes, Especialy because she loves to twist logic around to fit her. Doesn't really agree with anything "different".

Brother: Hehe, the little one. (well... he's 13 :/). Monkey_933 as many as you know him, he and me usualy get along. He generaly has problems with school and tends to get into more trouble than me, also seems to be drifting away from the "gamer" I knew years ago. Has a big head also  . Other than all that we both seem to get along well, which is good.

Mom: Years ago I would have said some different stuff, but now that i'm away from home I must say that she is understanding. I've been wanting to change colleges (it sucks here..) and she deffinitly understands. Still a bit skeptic on somethings, but whatever.

Dad: He is the quieter type. We never really talk much except for the random computer topic perhaps. He is very smart (has a masters in Computers). Only problem is since he is in the military he can be a "bit" harsher than my mom, which is funny because sometimes he can be harsh if needed, but usualy isn't. He is a bit harder to talk to though.

Other than that I don't consider my family that weird. Thank god no one in my family has really fallen for any of these "fads" (my little brother is maybe an exception, although when I do talk to him I know that he doesn't just follow the crowd all the time.) but it's pretty normal..

my mom smokes about a 5 cigars a day( i take some cigars and throw it in the trash for personal reasons :P ), and shes the smallest member in my family, i like to touch her hair alot cuz its soft...

my dads about the same size as me, hes really into my grades, school, education, and hes a single parent. sometimes i hate my dad, only if hes there to pick me up to make me do chores for 4 hours strait without getting paid <.<

my sisters a marine working in Iraq. shes slightly smaller then me. i get in touch with her in E-mail, and sometimes (well rarely) she gets into arguements for stupiest reasons. like my dad, my sster encourages me alot to do well in school.

my bro....pain the neck to even live with this guy. he hates everything i like. very hypocrite, hes slightly smaller then me, and hes a brat....

my dog....hmm shes...well a dog! a schictzu or whatever u call it, shes 5 years old (38 in human years) shes a small dog, has no puppies, and she barks aloooooot

brother: idiot (he tried playing the saxophone and didnt even get past the first note... noob)

You, on the other hand must be the smartest and nicest person in the world...

First time I played the saxophone I broke the reed in half. (I dunno how. It was probably a mix of biting and chewing it) It's harder than you would think...

Mum; Ok, my mum is really nice but sometimes she gets a lil' bit stressed when she has to work late.

My mum is probably one of the best in the world. She walks Tess at 6 every weekday morning, makes supper 3 times a week, goes to work, washes the dishes, and all while looking after Dad and Sam and me and making sure we're ok. Ever more weird she seems to enjoy it. :D. No idea how though.

Dad;

v. nice but kinda self-righteous. Like, he promises to take me to badminton or something, then we miss our court because he's working in his studio... (wannabee record producer... :wall: . Which can be annoying)

But he's funny, and he loves doing stuff with us, taking us swimming, going to see shows, that kind of thing.

Brother;

For those who don't know, tokytoky3333 is my brother. Ha yeah... he's really annoying. Like, I'm painting my room so I'm sleeping in the spare room (when there's another TV) and he's watching match of the day or some other cabbage (my opinion only) and I'm like 'Hey Sam I'm going to bed now, can you go please, have a nice sleep!'

'WHY CAN'T YOU EVER BE NICE OMG OMG OMG JUST 10 DANG MINUTES TILL THE END OF THE GAME AND ARSENAL ARE WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! * *followed by suchlike stream of abuse*

and he always complains when it's his turn to do stuff... like make supper or walk Tess...

Me;

Well, I'm just the best. 8-) No, I'm not really...but I do most of the chores which Sam is meant to do...(ha sam has to do the ironing though hehe) :P

Tess;

Golden retriever cutie! 5 years old. Tess has a really gentle tempermant and never bites or anything. (Except on the rare occasion when my mum and dad are arguing about something, when she will literally dive on Dad and chew his wrists till he shuts up.)

But yeah, I love my family. I have two of the best parents ever. :P

PS. Anyone remember this? Hehe.

Dad: Knows nothing about "popular" things. Pretty much all he knows about are his drugs (he studies drugs...), Hong Kong (where he's from) and mice (He's a rat in the Chinese Zodiac). I'm obviously exaggerating, if you couldn't tell. He double majored in math and computer science, and also knows quite a lot about chemistry. Another annoying thing about him is his laugh. He laughs at the stupidest things...And laughs really loudly. So when he laughs in public, almost everyone stares at us...

Mom: Knows a little TOO much about "popular" things. She watches some TV shows that are aimed for teenage girls...

Sister: Whenever I get home from school, the first thing I do is turn on my computer, since it takes forever for it to load. When I type in my password, I leave the computer to wait for it to load. When I get back, my sister is sitting there...

There's other stuff, but that's what I could think of right know...

doublesmileyface1.png

Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.

Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.

Hmm... I have no real annoyance with my sister, more so my mum.

She has always been on my case saying stuff like "why can't you be more like your sister?" "You better do well in that!" :uhh:

It honestly pisses me off. I got it at school from teachers as well till I eventually just told one of them "will you piss off - I'm not my sister" and that message eventually rippled through the rest of the techers and they stopped expecting me to perfect marks for everything. Now all I wish is that my mum would come to the same conclusion and stop giving me [cabbage] about my results whenever they're not crash hot.

And she's also very old-fashioned. She knows next to nothing about anything that is current, she's about 10 years behind everything. There's also the "sure you can do anything" attitude she has with my sister, but when it comes to me, she treats me like I'm a bloody child that needs to be made sure I'm safe :uhh:

Cliffs: I really do hate my mum.

My whole family is musical except my mom. She hears a song on the radio and claps along. It hurts soo much.

My sister is in 10th grade and takes calc 3.

My dad gets reeeeeally mad about his work.

My sister misses the bus 4/5 days.

I used to have a link to my school's project to provide fresh water to a Kenyan Village, but the sig police changed the link to say something, which, if followed, leads to an "ahem" adult website. Let me ask you. Which do you think is worse?

I don't have usual family problems. As in, angsty teen "YOU WON'T BUY ME AN IPOD! I WILL SLASH MY WRIST" problems. As in, I have no idea what's going on in my mother's head.

First off, I seriously sometimes think she has multiple personalities. Sometimes her and my brother communicate in some form of primitive baby language. Think the Jigglypuff voice, yes, from Pokemon. I ask them to politely stop since I'm often trying to do something constructive like study or program or something but it continues incessantly until I end up screaming for them to stop and my mom spouts off some crap about how she's the matriarch and how she supercedes all reasonable behavioral fashion.

Or, she constantly whines about everything. About how she works for three hours teaching kindergartners and comes home to clean, nevermind the fact that I've offered to do laundry and help out numerous times only to be told that I'm deftly incapable.

She also feels the need to comment on about everything. Somebody can be walking down the sidewalk and she feels the need to say something regarding what they're wearing or look like. Her "fashion" leanings are more towards the traditional upper-middle class, but it seems that no matter how many times I ask her not to be so judgemental and superficial she has to point out that gothic kids look like they're wearing costumes and that they only do things like that for attention. I befriend people from many walks of life, and she seems to wonder why I never wish for her to meet anybody aside from my two best friends whom I have known since I was 7.

She also panics about everything. Even the most minor things she asks about in a distressed voice. I can say something like "My computer doesn't work," and she will reply "Your computer DOESN'T WORK? You need to call the company right away blah blah blah" before I even explain the magnitude of the problem. So often it is something very minor but she acts as though the consequences of making a wrong decision are life-threatening.

It makes NO DAMN SENSE, I sware. At this point I would say that my brother is more tolerable than she is, and he's an ungrateful whiny prat. My dad is also something too complex to go into, but despite his occasional irrationality and overprotectivity even he is beginning to make more sense than my mother does.

sigon4.jpg

handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"

Me: "Ughh"
