Jard_Y_Dooku Posted October 28, 2006 Share Posted October 28, 2006 All right, here's a story. It involves bad judgement, an accident and EXTREME, and I mean E X T R E M E luck!! So I'm at Ape Atoll fighting monkey guards with Dharoks. Making an album of me hitting everything from 1 to my max (lol, where are you, 5!)... so I'm towards the south of the room, pray gets low and runs out. I get hit 11, thinking, good 9 HP, now I can hit higher. So I safespot. The altar is across the room. So what do I do instead of teleporting to house or eating an emergency monkfish? Yep, I make a run for it. Bam. 9. Dead. I lost: Dragon battlebaxe, Dragon dagger(p++), Dharok helm, 22 doses of superantipoison, 2 vials, 85 featers, Amulet of strength, Ring of wealth, Climbing boots, Quest point cape and 4 Monkfish. There were a few other people there, like 2 or 3. So I run to Falador bank and try to teleport to Ape Atoll thinking I'll at least get back some untradable items or maybe they'll be nice and give back the helm. But I accidentally click house teleport. So I had to teleport to Edgeville and get runes for Ape Atoll. I head back in my Dharoks greataxe, platebody and platelegs. What do I find? EVERY. SINGLE. ONE of my items lying right on the ground where I had died!! I frantically pick them ALL up and say to two other people who were training there, "Did you notice me die?" They respond "No!". A third person next to me just as I grab my last monkfish, asks, "Who died?". I respond "Me, and I didn't lose a single item!" I went home and repaired my Dharoks, then went back, and I'm not pulling any more run across the room stunts. Moral of the story: Next time you're low HP at monkey guards, don't try to dash across the room... eat an emergency food! Never trust anyone. Three days ago I was training slayer at Black Demons and my computer decided to restart on its own. When I logged back in I was in fally with Guthan Plate + Skirt and D square. I lost: Fury Berserker ring whip dds glory guthan spear and helm rune boots black mask 99 range cape A few smaller things in inven (money and rune drops) So immediatly im just shocked. Then I get it together and go and sell my full drag and ranger set. Then minute I am about to sell archer ring I get pm'ed saying come to lumby. I assumed this was someone wanting to buy the ring. I get there and the guy says, "I have something you may want" and he trades me everything but the boots, glory, cape (obviously) and the small inven items. Needless to say I thanked him for a good 15 minutes. So in total I lost about 17.6 mill from dying, and the guy gave back 17 mill of it. blooblyblobl Posted October 28, 2006 Share Posted October 28, 2006 Wish that I'd met someone as nice as that when I accidentally attacked an ogre shaman while MAGING blue dragons...don't ask why, but I had 19k chaos runes on me (150 ea at the time) and 57k airs...when I got back some guy was standing right where I died, I was like "did you get my stuff?" and he just said "no and I just got a clue scroll" and logged out...he was much higher level than me and much richer too, but oh well... I just wish he would've told the truth, even if he did decide to keep my stuff Legends quest completed at lvl 47 on X Legendre X#3056 to 99 firemaking, achieved on July 4th, 2007.Tied for #1854 to 99 farming, achieved on September 3rd, 2008. I took them away but then half an hour later i thought better of it and dropped them there again in case somebody came back for them. Long time you were gone :lol: Actually here's my story, the other day I was 400 xp to 95 range, so I went to the towers in the range guild to get it, i dced fighting the lvl 69 rangers and couldn't log back in. I immediently went on my clans IRC channel, and three of my very good friends all managed to rush there in time to watch me die and get my stuff, which they gave back for free :) CANE Just to be different. Think about it. A freaking Dragon Cane with a Dragonstone gem.The spec will simply your character equiping a glove and beachslapping the enemy, who will break down and do the Cry emote for 10 seconds straight.
