Then there were halloween masks, which in my opinion look totally awesome. Then bunny ears and scythe, which are both pretty cool items. But what do we get now...skele outfits and pumpkin heads....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think that the holiday items and drops are getting worse and worse? This halloween one took 10 mins and the items don't even look good..

Well it depends on opinion. I really love the Christmas 2005 clothes.

True, P hats are hella ugly, but masks are hawt. I had a green mask, but then my "friend" scammed me out of it.

I'd have to agree, actually. There's only been 2 good-looking [untradeable, all tradeable = hot] rewards. Schyte and Bunny ears. All of the rewards after them is really..not so good looking lol. (I kind of like the red-&-white scarf from 05, thought).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It must be hard for Jagex to think of something good, thought. All of the winning concepts has been some kind of a hat, or a weapon as the schyte and easter chicken (it's called that, right?). Thought, there has been alot of hats. We have:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6 Kinds of Partyhats

 

 

 

3 Kinds of Halloween Masks

 

 

 

1 Kind of Bunny Ears

 

 

 

1 Kind of Santa Hat

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That is 11 hats. (Plus the 6 hats or so from these 2 years). That really is alot compared to other stuffs like any other kind of clothing (8, counting the skeleton outfit as 4). So the winning concept of hats simply isnt their first option.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The weapons then.. I can't figure out even 1 thing at christmas that you can use as a weapon. I mean, Santa doesnt really use some kind of a stave or something like that. And a Christmas-tree, I find it hard to belive that Jagex would create a weildable christmas-tree as a reward.

 

 

 

At easter and halloween, It's kind of hard to figure out something to (because the schyte is allready taken).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well.. The point of this reply is, I think Jagex finds it kind of hard to figure out something really good as a hollidayevent reward.

and i want a toy train for christmas!! i liked the yoyo (dont have one tho) but i hope that when they do train they make it wood coloured (i dont like painted toys) but i guess we already know what we will get for christmas, the things we had to shoot on halloween.

hmm i agree they do somewhat look good, but the only way we'd truly know wether we like them for their looks or their value would be to go back in time and not make them tradeable...oh wait no time machine...dang! :lol:

The only reason I bother to do the new events is to just show that I've been playing this long; that poses a problem tho, since I rarely, if ever wear them :|

But as for the easter event, it sucked. Sorry Jagex. A ring that turns you into an egg isn't a very good drop. I Would've preferred a ring that turns you into a bunny, like when you went into the cave. That would be sweet. :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for this Christmas's event, I hope the special item for the p2p houses is something I can get when I become a member again, cuz I just love construction, but I won't be a member again for at least 6 more months. I'm already crushed that I don't have a rubber chicken, don't take this POH Christmas thing away from me too!!! :cry:

If the old holiday items (Partyhats, Masks, Santas) became untradeable, they would suddenly look a lot worse.

This years halloween items i agree don't look much good, the pumpkin head is alright though.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last years Christmas items were nice, Hats & Scarfs. Look pretty good and go well with the season. Hopefully this years Christmas items will be nice. Will be a little upsetting if they're not, Halloween doesn't mean a lot to me.

But... I wish I had the rubber chicken. The 2004 Yo-Yo wasn't all that great. I don't see anyone use it. The zombie head was also kind of dumb, seeing as all you really see it do is say "Alas!!!!" and whatnot. The Christmas hats + scarves are nice since they match with so many outfits. I guess it's all opinion, but I think Jagex should do more thinking to get better holiday events.

+1...it seems there's been a lot more hype about it than ever before. Anyway, i disagree...i liked the skele stuff, mainly the gloves and boots and mask. Good one this year. I personally did not like the easter rings, or the scarves and hats...but i loved the yo-yo and chicken.

I bet if you were the only one with skele costume in the game it would look much better... :)
