Celebi
Have you ever thought what is the function between levels and xp? I have, and i have never got a correct answer. If you have, tell me. What is the function between 2 and 83? or 5 and 388? or 99 and 13,034,431? I would be happy if someone knows this. :D FormerTip.It mapper | hello? Freshwacka
The experience doubles every 7 levels, so 92 is half the experience needed for 99, and 85 is a quarter of the experience needed for 99. 99 Crafting Blog
Uula
Probably about the formula how the exp needed for each level is determined. Found this at http://www.mirwoj.opus.chelm.pl/rs/index.php?pid=b04 :
Robert_Rdam
I did some math and if you do the 99 xp, /99. is 131600(....) and, 83 /2 = 41.5 388/5=77.6 Wich doesn't make any sence, no links, I mean I don't see any links to it all, no reason I guess. Just a roleplaying game how it should be, getting xp. :) But I see the dudes above me, did some way better maths :-# Credits to Skully Sc for the signature. That's still far from accurate. Level 1 is 83 xp, and level 2 176? That's already more than double in just one level. And lv 8 is 800 something xp - Although it does get more accurate at higher levels.

I would be happy if someone knows this. :D the way your question is formulated is indeed complex and confusing i shall offer two separate answers 1, filler. to please and so that it does not seem like it takes weeks to level, if their was only 25 lvls per skill and lvl 25 was equal to 99, lets just say ud feel awfully depressed about lvling up. where as now its like omg, 200k exp thats not too bad, but then at lvl 90s its like oh hey 750k exp...thats a little bit but ok i can handle that. as for my second answer, i shall let my 2 associates explain why their are lvls

jessy87
Basically Celebi is asking if there is a relation ship between level and exp needed. in deed their are theorys...one i know is known to me as the "ghost lvl" the which is lvl 100. i would explain what i was once told about it, but their are some skeptics out their and i dont feel like going into detail for the insane. tefda
Lol wth? Gah, I don't understand that. Only Einstein would understand something like that. :wall:  :? Experience equals the rounded down number of the sumation of your level minus one of the rouneded down number of current number (being X) times 2 to the power of your level and root 7. Then divide by 4. You'll learn Sumation in High School math, not hard. The only thing not actual math like is floor which is a computer term for rounding down. Edit: Sumation means that you start at x=1 and then do the formula and you add to your received number by adding the next value of x until you reach that L-1 value. Eyrelex
The way to really see would be to graph it all and see if the line is an even curve... I remember seeing a thread way back where someone actually did plot out xp vs lvl on a curve, and from what I remember it looked pretty close to an exponential graph, at least the last part did. I honestly doubt that there actually is a function for the relationship between xp and lvl, but if there is one it would have to be piecewise function. Check out my Pocket Slot idea! Goobore
Have you ever thought what is the function between levels and xp?... There are 2 100% accurate formulas that convert Level into Exp. First, there is Phil's discrete formula and then there is Wally's continuous version I have modified the continuous form of the skill experience formula to exactly match Phil's formula up to level 132. (Btw, level 132 is about 342 million experience for a single skill) The modified formula is: Experience = floor(A*(2^(L/7)-2^(1/7)) + B*L^5 + C*L^4 + D*L^3 + E*L^2 + F*L + G) Where L is the Level. So now it's an exponential function plus a 5th degree polynomial with A = 720.533673767946 B = 3.54298390625729e-09 C = -1.0176384179772e-06 D = 9.69859806900786e-05 E = 0.121741672963253 F = -0.2074127222877 G = 0.139103528112173 This matches 100% with the 100 known Runescape exp values, and matches Phil's values for levels 101 to 132. Now that we know a continuous form of the function that suggests that the inverse of the function would be logarithmic. So, here's function that converts your Exp into a Level For example, here is an inverse Experience function. Let E be your experience Then compute x = naturallog(E+1) The your level is approximately Level = (A*x^5 + B*x^4 + C*x^3 + D*x^2 + E*x + 1)/(F*x^4 + G*x^3 + H*x^2 + J*x + 1) where A, B, C, D, and E are 0.00565991302624555 -0.0980045250107375 0.683889491465737 -2.15204562908116 2.48782566542775 and F, G, H, and J are 0.000567384324887069 -0.00650538625289637 0.0415346760409815 -0.201061667538983 The inverse Experience function is nice because it tells you how far you are through a level. Hope this helps
Eyrelex
^That's pretty impressive if that works for any level or amount of experience, don't really care to check though i'll just take your word for it : Wonder how long it took him to figure out the values for A-G :-k Check out my Pocket Slot idea! Platinum_Myr
you can find a, b, c, d, e, f, and such easily with a curve fitting program. Finding EXACT values would be hard, and slow, but finding values that are good enough is easy. ktmcf121
id understand that equation but I dont know what the E means yet heh I think the "E" is zigma... ..if so this mean's "the sum of" the E is indeed sigma, a greek letter. summation is farily simple, like someone said, you learn it in high school algebra. i knew it had to be some sort of exponential function, never had a clue that the formula would be that complex though. i never cared that much to try and figure it out.
