February 15, 200719 yr Now all they need is a Hebrew and a French server. :) Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu melekh ha-olam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotaz v'ratzah vanu. Heh, bet nobody knows what prayer I took that from. :  Hebrew has the same problems as Dutch- most native speakers also speak English. The alphabet and different keyboard set-up might be irritating to configure as well.
February 15, 200719 yr YAY!!! finally, im very excited because i lived in germany for 4 yrs
February 15, 200719 yr To those people who want a German world, or a Finish world, or a French world etc. etc. and hoping they will get one because their language is/will be supported. IMO I doubt very much that will be the case as it would be a waste of Jagex's servers. What will happen (again IMO) is that ALL languages will be loaded on ALL servers and you choose your language when you log in.
February 15, 200719 yr imagine typer this in world 2 all day: buying 2k Wiederherstellungstrank! Anyways, I think Ive got an idea for these worlds which will help me..... 8-) 128+ Combat \\ 1900+ Total Level \\ 85M+ EXP5,999th To 99 Woodcutting Achieved June 27, 200766,931st To 99 Strength Achieved January 23rd, 2009Draconic Visage: 1+ \\ DK Drops: 169+ \\ GWD Drops: 74+
February 15, 200719 yr Maybe Jagex made a big mistake, because they saw a lot of people talking Dutch, but thought: they're talking German and then thought, let's make German servers! So actually the servers are for Dutch people, but Jagex thought they were german!! German and Dutch look like eachother but are different from eachother, a lot different! Why is having another language a mistake? Well I say, "Yay" to everyone who speaks German. : lol they invited dutch people to a German beta and they cant speak german :XD: :XD: siggy ^.^
February 15, 200719 yr who could have seen this coming?? I think its great that runescape is becoming open to more diversities of people. Im looking forward to more languages such as Russian, Chinese, and Japanese possibly in the future :)You have no idea how hard Japanese would be. First, many letters in the language are the equivalent of two American letters. E.G: ka = a letter ma = a letter Then, you have to change it into the proper Japanese "alphabet" (katakana, hiragana, kanji) So, what I'm saying here, is that word filters may as well 'splode. I do English to Japanese and Japanese to English translation for free! Just keep it under 5 sentences, and PM me to use my fluency in Japanese to your advantage!
February 15, 200719 yr Ich bin auslander und spreche nicht gut deutsch. Erste jahre of Deutsch. I might go on a german server if it comes out to see if i can translate anything.
February 15, 200719 yr A couple of people on prior pages have said things to the effect that Germans are not very good at English. I've had quite a contrary experience. I've travelled to Germany and Austria a couple of times, and I've found that nearly everyone is quite good at speaking English. Whenever I'd try to communicate in German, many people would just respond to me in English because they knew it'd be easier. The only group of people that have trouble with English are the older generations because English wasn't taught in schools back in the day. Also, I spent most of my time in cities, so perhaps the rural population is not as adept at English. But I look forward to honing my German skills on the foreign servers. As of now, I can communicate well enough, but my grammar is atrocious. Deutch ist meine lieblingsprache. Maxed total levelsRemaining for Completionist Cape: Livid Farm spell (Borrowed Power)
February 15, 200719 yr This will be pretty cool, does this mean there will be German Fansites? lol^^^ [spoiler=My 99s (7)]9,638th to 99 Fletching ~ 29th January 2007 737th to 99 Hunter ~ 2nd July 2007910th to 99 Agility ~ 28th January 200859,467th to 99 Defence ~ 23rd December 200992,762nd to 99 Hitpoints ~ 26th June 2010102,704th to 99 Attack ~ 29th June 2010144,091st to 99 Strength ~ 29th June 2010
February 15, 200719 yr I think this is a baaaaad idea, tough I knew about this update a month ago. They only support multiple languages now, and it will be easier to attract gold farmers and .. dumb players My language is dutch, but I hate to speak in on a public english game, thats rude for all the people around you. The next thing is that all my friends will start: "Oh, heb jij twee boogtouwen, ik moet mijn boogmaakvaardigheid een level bijgeven. <-- this sounds really dumb. Ive seen it enough in other games.. and its terrible. At least I hope I can get in the beta, would be fun to get an empty world or so. --- Since januari/februari 2001 ---The Grand Exchange Search Extension

February 15, 200719 yr It's good to see Jagex expanding Runescape to different parts of the world. Its all about the money. :-$ ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!

February 15, 200719 yr I think I know why there arent much German people. Ive been transferred to Germany once. I was suprised to see many telephone internet connections or NO internet. When I asked him if he knew about Runescape, he didnt. Now I know that this shouldnt have to be the case. But to my knowledge all the German people I know can speak English very well. Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness? Click here to go to our forums, and say hi ^^lol one of the biggest pvp updates of the year, and tip it is discussing granite
February 15, 200719 yr I would never play RS in any other language than english. Not even if they made the language into danish (mine :XD: ). Just wouldn't feel right. Oooh well, some may like it. Especially those who aint that good at english.. 99 ranged | 99 magic | 99 defence | 99 hitpointsRemember, it's just a gameFeel free to add me on RS. :) Always ready for a chat.
February 15, 200719 yr As far as I know, they havent told it officially nor given any hint in the past. My few sources however are very reliable ;) Surprised nobody else knew about this before, am I the only one? It's on their corporate site, branching off RS into other countries and has been there for a few months already.
February 15, 200719 yr Won't this make the servers we have atm less crowded...? If so....then i'm stuffed getting a BA team Doomy edit: I like sheep
February 15, 200719 yr There is one big problem about this. kids who don't speak english can't play the game because they can't understand it. the age limit is 13 years, everybody with internet connection is able to speak english when they are 13. With other languages available you will get numerous little kids into runescape. Lumbie will become a place for spamming, begging and even easier scamming (they still beleavi in fairytales, guess how easy they will be to fool). Another thing: Germans are just to lazy concerning other languages. They dont do subtitles but just put german speak into the films... One last thing: There are definately more Dutch people playing RS (they got 6 servers!) then germans (just gotten 2!) Runescape membership: 5 Euro/month. Double RS joy: PricelessMy drawings (like my sig)Say something nice to the person above you
February 15, 200719 yr you all forgot about the main fact. we are not talking about players "from germany" we are talking about german speaking players ! that would involve austria and parts of switzerland as well as a small part of italy ! im from austria and i never needed a german version because i understand like 99 % of the words in runescape. of course most of the 13 year old kids understand some english but you shouldnt think that they speak english fluently
February 15, 200719 yr I think this is a good idea as it will help people learning German to imply it, it would be nice to know if anyone on tip.it are on the beta test?
February 15, 200719 yr I think German is useless, German people cant speak English soo good. But they made 2 extra beta worlds of RuneScape in German. Now 60 people online.... uhhhh, im Dutch and some Dutch people cant speak English as well so... if the keep German, the must make Dutch and more. But if they do that, its useless again. Then would be all the servers apart. Finland BETA The Netherlands BETA Chinees BETA Australia BETA Austria BETA and more Then they are going to put all in 1 together. And then is RuneScape back to normal. #-o Sound weird but yeah... It could be. SO, CHANGE IT BACK OR ADD A DUTCH DICTIONARY
February 15, 200719 yr It's only 60 players online because JaGeX chose 280 players to test it and nobody else can enter the servers. And you just have to wait for a dutch server to come... Maybe it will :) They finally got it right.
February 15, 200719 yr I don't think any of the "symbol" languages will be used. Its hard enough for english letters to be mixed around to make a different language.
