Kiriyama
IF they ask me where xxx place is then it depends. If I'm in Seers and they ask where ardougne(sp?) is, I'll take them. But if I'm in Fally I'll say too far away. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
mario_sunny
Unless the situation really calls for ignoring, I don't think that's the best way to do it. Our job as high levels is to teach low levels not to do that kind of stuff. When I see a beggar I almost always tell them begging is bad and they will get nowhere in life with it. This way they will learn and slowly become the intelligent high levels we are today(some stay immature even when they hit high level though :x ). Then they will help a low level in need, and the cycle goes on(mentioned earlier in this topic). By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( . 12pure34
Oh, I am level 92 at the moment. I tend to spend my time with mostly lower levels. And usualy it is me who starts a conversation. I like to talk to others. But when I do not like to answer, or the other doesn't like to answer, that is not snobbish. Although this might look like, but most of the time it isn't. Equality? :-w
Conorscool
Well being a mid level (level 98) i don't tend to think high levels are, i just generally think they either can't be bothered, they're comfortable and can't be bothered to move or have their chat off die to the flood of free stuuf please and show emote (The second one anoyed me so much i never bothered doing the last quest jagex released) 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER! Makoto_the_Phoenix
High levels aren't "stuck-up", we're just sick and tired of getting the same questions asked when the information is freely available to everyone. Back a year ago, when I practiced my French more, I used to just type in that and throw everyone off. Nowadays I just give them colder answers such as "look at the KB" or "no I will not give you free stuff". I'm not going to bother wasting my time helping someone if they won't take the time out to help themselves. In certain situations, however, I'd help them no questions or qualms asked, namely the MEII light maze. Took a good fourteen hours on and off to finish that, but it was worth it to help a handful of people get through that nightmare. In general, if and when I deal on freeplay and abroad, my ignore list is my friend. I go by the "three strikes" philosophy; if you can't figure it out on your own in three tries, I'm done with it. Abyssalwhip
Normally calling a high level stuck up is stereotypical, i'm friends with many of them and they're not stuck up at all, sometimes people think i am but those people dont even realize i'm muted. Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
revanlives
I help anyone who asks for it and I don't think typing in 2 numbers for what level you have in something is too hard. If you have a stupid question, fine, I'll still try and give you an answer. But if the question is, "give free stuff," oh, sure you'll get an answer-and that's no. monkeyboo2
because i finally got into a confortable position and cannot be bothered to move my left arm to use they keyboard, lol im sorry but that made me think you had a stroke or something and their by paralyzing your arm. and i just imagine some1 trying to hurl their body @ the computer screen so that the arm lands remotely close to the key board to type out 100 words if that. im sorry but the laziness of the world amazes me. if your computer chair has an arm rest i dont see any need to complain about comfort. its not a bed of nails. i do things when people act intelligent or more specifically ask nicely. also, certain combat lvls get my attetion/respect to provide for them 116+ ill feel they are my equal and actually talk to them. anything lower, just sadly does not gain my attention to care/listen unless you are 50-79 80-115 are just people whom i could not honestly care if they were their or getting ran over by a submarine. not that id wish that on any1. agreed but why just the 116+'s get your respect? i'm 90 and have higher total than alot of 116+ that i have met... do i really have to wear my hunt cape or speak with mod crown to get my respect? I think give all people respect until they prove they don't deserve it-whether that be their first word or several months of talking... Don't completely rule the low levels from the picture-agreed they may not appear to be much but rememebr a lvl 3 could pull out phat sets and could whnip out about 18 skill capes. Ive been 2 or so years of having constant nooby questions but you should nt let it get at you, its ust one of those things that can be done at no expense. Laziness in the world ,yes-prejudice, no. Yeah...Some people just go out of their way to ruin other peoples fun.Sounds like Jagex to me...

koma1
Well im level 116 and and i do wear some expensive stuff which makes me a prime target for "noobs", I love to help people and give them advice but when someone begs me for money and asks me how much money i have i tend to get very annoyed. Recently ive been put off from helping lower levels as they can be so rude, for example i was at ecto and this low level comes up to me and asks how to get ecto tokens so i tell him the whole thing about the bones and grind them blah blah blah....instead of thanking me he starts swearing at me calling me quite profane words and im like woah. I personally cant blame higher levels ignoring lower levels it all due to past experiences. Something else that grinds my gears is when people start following me.... come on jagex invent an allow following on/off button already :wall:

xSxqPowerx
I am 123 cb. anonymouse_
I am 115 combat and I don't ignore everyone I see. If someone asks me something politely, I try my best to answer their question. If someone is rude, I just ignore them.
wakka102
I consider myself to be a friendly high level. I can carry on a conversation with anybody as long as they aren't being an idiot or being a jerk. If they are polite I can carry on a conversation with a level 3 fresh off tutorial island. I make an effort to answer people's questions unless I'm in a hurry.
reaper88888
I'm not really that high, but i still get plenty of questions... Case in point: At chaos druids gathering herbs: Guy:werez entraina? Guy:some1 tak me to entrane fpr lost city quest? Me:Go to port Sarim and talk to the monks Guy:Reaoer Me:? Guy:Wher is pot sarim??(Seriously, he said that. ) Guy:Tak me 2 port sarem n i pay 10ks Me:It's south of fally, go talk to the monks on the dock ...continues for about 6 minutes... Guy:Z0mg payin rune kite for som1 to take me to port sarem! Eventually he went away...some people just don't understand, do they? -.- Also, on several occasions I've had people ask me what the knowledge base is. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

hipyhop00
All very true responses but my main point has been missed If someone says "can you show me to varrock" and then you respond with "NO" then you have still taken the effort of say no, What im asking if it is being arrogant to not say anything at all. If im going to make the effort to type anything then ill help as much as i can. Another example is when someone asks if you have something and instead of responding just give them it or accept the first offer for an item even if its below the normal price. highlanders
A lot of people that go lvls 120+ become antisocial and quiet for some crazy reason. Haha 13 more lvls until I become antisocial. 2480+ total
berbatovsky
I've grown to empathise with the higher lvls attitude, because (im a fairly lowly lvl 89) barely a day goes by when someone asks for help, this IS fine the problem comes when you've spent 30 mins helping them and then they ask for more help, you help them again and they want...more help. I can see how it becomes quickly tedious. The problem is that many of the people asking for help cannot even use online guides properly and thus you have to walk them through a quest you did 3 months ago/walk them to certain monsters, and it is very rare that these people appreciate the time you took to help, they think he helped me, hes nice hell help me again and again and again. Also I've seen people mocking high leveled people merely for being high leveled, which isnt nice.
n64jive
there is no longer such thing as a 'high level'...people can get from 3-120+ in a matter of months these days.
meili
I used to be really nice in RS and even help out people do entire quests and things like that. That was when RS was much smaller. After I got high level (in 2002) that became impossible because after I am nice to them, lower levels inevitably ask for free items. Sometimes even higher levels pretend they got hacked and ask for stuff. Since I don't really care about items, I used to give away a lot of free stuff. No I am sick of the whole thing so I never bother to help people out as I feel I have done more than enough during my years of playing RS.
