March 6, 200719 yr I was in a bus incident, we were at a large intersection, a car jumped the red light, skidded due to rain, straight into the front side of the bus as we had already just pulled out. The bus driver must have panicked, and turned the bus the opposite direction, directly onto the pavement. Scared the living daylights out of me, the driver was taken to hospital. I think some other passengers were mildly injured, but I don't remember how many, it happened a few years ago. SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED.

March 6, 200719 yr Once I was driving my bike down the road pretty fast to get home because I was in a hurry (25+ kph), when a kid in one of the cars that was parked by the roadside decided to throw his door open without looking for oncoming traffic. I slammed into it, folding it neatly into the front door. I got launched out of my seat, flipped over in mid-air and landed on my back on the road. My front wheel was bent up pretty bad, but the car was in a lot worse shape... March 6, 200719 yr A stupid cow reversed into the front of mine. We were going down a one-way street when she decided to reverse into one of the loading bays that you aren't meant to park in. Anyway, she totally misjudged it and went into my 3 month old 206. I cried. Wow, I wouldn't even be mad, I'd be impressed. I never knew cows could drive! :P (Sorry, just trying to cheer you up a bit >.<) This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

It may not be absolute or a stastic, but it's common sense to say that everyone or at least 99.999% of people who are going to ever drive in their life will at some point get in a car accident. Oh, and Defender's pretty much screwed once he gets his license, unless he has his license already, then he's really screwed. I predict approx. 11 accidents a year :-w EDIT: nevermind, I see you were just countering his second line :P . I'll just leave my post up saying that it's not a statistic, but it's pretty much true. March 8, 200719 yr think i been in car crsah at least 4 times that i can think of, none of them were me driving :) First one i will always remember, it was fun, my mate had just got his new 2lt something or other, driving down a straight country road, and bam he put the handbrake for some stupid reason, must have span round at least 3 times before ending up front first in a tree. It was exciting at the time, until we had to walk 4 miles back to town. The only injury was my friend that put a hole in his hand, as he stumped his palm on the pointy lock thing on the car door. Second time, agian driving through country roads on the way back from a party, we had 6 people in a 5 seater car, one of my best maters was in the boot :D. Anyway not sure what happened i was too drunk, ended up at a vertical angle with the boot in the air. Had to pull my friend out from the boot. Luckliy nobody was hurt. 3rd carsh, simply going to fast around a round about, skidded off the road and ended up in a field with cows. 4th time another round about, the car i was in was hit from the side by some silly women that didn't understand the lanes properly and tried to cross into the right hand lane form the left without even looking for anyone else. viewtopic.php?p=3956321#3956321 Click here to view my guide to Your Kingdom
March 8, 200719 yr I was almost in a really bad accident. It was snowing, and really icy. My dad was driving and the car slipped on the ice. We ran straight through someone's yard, narrowly avoiding a tree and the porch. I was watching the local news and someone got smashed by a semi truck that almost tumbled off of the bridge. Poor guy. They both died I think. 7,436th to 99 fishing on July 13, 2008 [hide=Quotes that I lol'd at]the day the fantastic four come into runescape, i will eat my socks. what kind of topic is this. ihaven't read it yetbut i now it must be stupid.[/hide]
March 8, 200719 yr I hit my soccer-trainer's car as I was reversing out of the parking-lot after practice...shhh, don't tell him :-$ no marks on either car fortunately
March 9, 200719 yr Ok, though it's not a car accident exactly, it's close... Well, during the summer; I enjoy jogging, mostly to stay in shape. I have three ways that I run, one being 2 miles, one 2.3, and one 2.5. That day, I felt lazy, but the temperature was great, so I had to do something. I went with the flat 2 miles. I had a baseball game that night, we were trying to make it to the playoffs, and I figured I'd be better off later if I ran now. Jogging was and still is my favorite way to stay in shape. I love the wind cars bring as they fly by at 50 miles per hour, the sound of the birds above. Ok, other then the road kill, I love it all. I went onto the road, and put my MP3 player on. I did some stretching, and turned left. I figured I'd go to the railroad tracks and back, mostly because I wanted to go back and have breakfast. Now, the rule is to run on the shoulder of the road into traffic, which I did, and still do. So, I go down to the tracks, cross the road, and begin the second half of the run. I was about .4 miles from my house; I knew this from the road sign on my right. That's my last memory. Meanwhile, a lady of 70 is driving down the road. She starts to experience double vision. She closes one eye, and it gets better. She continues driving. Note here that she didn't pull over when she was having double vision! Then, blackout. The lady goes out cold, swerving across the road. Now, as the police report says, a truck just missed the woman's car. She went onto the opposite shoulder of the road. I had my MP3 player on loudly, so I didn't hear it, and it was behind me, so I didn't see it. According to what I later found out, I was hit 100 feet, out of my socks and shoes. My MP3 Player stayed clipped to my shorts, Sandisk is making their money. Anyway, the lady's car continues on, hitting into an electrical pole a little ways up the road. At this time, my mom, who is at the house, notices that the power flickered. She tells the guy hooking up the Direct TV dish she has to go see something. As she walks onto the driveway, a police car pulls up. She say's mother's intuition, I say freak accident. To each their own. According to the people who found me, I said something, like "I live on..." or something. I don't remember anything. My next memory was waking up in an ambulance. My mom is sitting there, crying. I keep saying "What happened? What happened?" The paramedic says "He's repeating himself..." I couldn't say it, but my thought was, "No, I want to know why I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m in an ambulance!" I doze off there. Well, that's the interesting part. Long story summed up time. I wake up in the hospital. I hade slight head trauma and leg lacerations (sp), which means that my legs were bruised everywhere on the back side. I spent the night there in a terrible neck brace. So, next morning, I try to walk, take the doctor and my dad to even get me standing. We try again later, a little better. Eventually, they say I can leave. I realized how lucky I was, though. In the next room, a 12 year old girl had been out for 5 days. I don't know what had happened to her, or if she ever came out of it, but it was an odd feeling for me. How lucky was I, a 13-year-old (now 14) boy, coming away with just nicks and bruises? So, I can leave. What stinks was that I was asleep for all of the cool head scans and such. I'm bedridden for the next four or so days, slowly able to walk. Basically, I need help walking 10 steps to the bathroom. It took 2 weeks to be able to go upstairs. My goal at the beginning of the summer, before this event, was to get into great shape for football. So much for that one. Now, my goal is to be able to walk before the school year, just about two months away. On top of that, I missed the last few weeks of baseball. We ended up getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs. So, off to physical therapy. I knew it'd take a while to get my legs back to full strength, and that it'd take a lot of time and hard work. Not to say I wanted to work hard, but what could I do. After a month and a half, I was done there. Sure, I still had a slight limp, but it was a heck of a lot better then when I came. That'd go away in about a week, and I could walk again. Now, everything's back to normal. No one would believe I was hit by a car, unless I gave them the police report or showed them the neck brace. I can't wait, only a few more months until I can run down my road again. I have to beat my previous record of running without getting hit by a car. That's why I have such strong feelings for these kids at my school who get hurt doing nothing. "I fell off my skate board and broke my wrist. Quick, everyone pay attention to me, sign my cast and say how sorry you are for me!" Take a car going 50 in the back, and come out with minor injuries, then come back to me. Yes, this is a true story. I wish it was something I had made up... The GES, the only clan ruled by a Goat. "How did it start? I mean, did one kid just yell out lets have sex!""
March 9, 200719 yr I suppose this isnt really a bad accident, but here goes. I was in a renault scenic with my mum, when we hear a bang, then an old ford transit behind us flies forward, then knocks the caravan holder towbar w/e off (it came with the car - I watch Top Gear so I don't do caravans), and dented the back bumber right in until it started cracking. It turn ed out afterwards that a Mazda MX5 had been stolen, and was travelling at at least 70mph when it hit the van, which then hit us. After that, I got whiplash but got over it quickly, the mx5 was a write off when it was in a ditch a few days later, and all damage was covered under insurance. The end :anxious: http://custom.leetscape.com/sig/63/70/combat.png[/img]You just won the award for "The Most niave person on the Tip.it Boards!"]*Points towards the monkey sitting on the button and declining every query*Help me No.
March 9, 200719 yr Allmost been into a car crash... I went to the doctor, with my mother. I was about 13 years old. It happened in the winter, the road was very slippery. My mother wanted to turn to the right, but she lost control over the car. She was allready driving slowly, and the car was just sliding to the other car. She tried to steer away from the car, at the very end she managed to get hold of the car (just centimeters away) and she avoided the crash. At the end, I discovered that I didnt use my seatbelt... #-o [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]
March 9, 200719 yr Well, my only car collision experiences have been getting run into once while my mom was driving... (nothing at all serious, a truck just bumped the rear of our van) And, a week or two ago, I drove into the ditch after I slid on some snow on the road. Nothing too bad, and a female classmate and her brother were just ahead of me, so she took me and my two sisters home. - Np Tyler
March 10, 200719 yr I just got out of Smoothie King and was driving out of the parking lot when some guy didn't look and backed up into my driver's side door. He payed for it all :P Also, one time I was with a few of my friends (one of them was driving), and we were on our way home. My friend looked down at his ipod, and when he looked up, a car pulled out and hit us. He had a stop sign, so it was all his fault. Could have been bad because we had some stuff :-w in the car that 17 year olds shouldn't have.
March 10, 200719 yr i havent been in a car accident but in Oklahoma some time ago a semi trunk with its back full of gas hit a truck. needless to say it didmnt turn out pretty
March 10, 200719 yr Not yet, but I've had some *very* close calls. a) On my way to college, a very rainy day, I went up to about 85km/h in a 60 zone to merge into a lane on my left, and the instant I had merged the car now in front of me stopped suddenly. I slammed on the brakes and skidded most of the way, but instinctively let go for a moment to regain traction and continued braking. Came within half a metre of the car in front of me, would have been completely my fault. B) On my way home from college, also a very rainy day, I was on a road with two lanes going each way and a median in the middle. I was in the left lane (closer to the median, for you english and similar folk :P); in front of me was a small car and to my right an SUV. The car in front changed into the right lane, and I saw why- some idiot was walking in the middle of my lane. Not across the road, but actually walking DOWN it. I couldn't immediately change lanes because of the SUV and the median surrounding me, and I wasn't confident in my stopping ability because the roads were basically flooding, so I did the only thing I could- accelerated to 90+, cut off the SUV beside me, and missed the pedestrian by about a metre. It seems drastic, but consider than this happened so quickly that I had a fraction of a second to think about it. I could have killed that guy, but this one was NOT my fault.
