  1. Talk to Johannes Ullbreg, the HAM leader in HAM lair, to find that out.
  2. I got 60M off of completing WGS by selling my piece for 11.7M and having gotten 3 Dragon Claws. Also 400,000 XP for Runecrafting, which got me 71-75. Epic? More ways than one mate. Do it. Edit: Don't ever, ever use Void at Tormented Demons. It's like playing Russian Roullette with 7 bullets in eight holes. And Magic is hard if you want to combine a decent Mage/Range offence bonus while maintaining a good Mage/Range defence bonus. Though high levels in Attack or Strength aren't really necessary.
  3. I don't want them to rush things, but I'd like they'd hurry the hell up. Lately, the trend seems that there must be at least one year or more (far more) for them to take another step in a quest series. And after a while, people will generally just stop caring if they do. No one likes a mystery upon mystery upon mystery upon more mystery with no development for 5+ years. It's the reason I never got past season two of Lost.
  4. If you want to use a method that isn't deadly slow, no, it's not possible. I spent over 7M on 76-88 smithing alone with Stealing Creation hammers and using the least as possible loss (Adamant arrowtips).
  5. Indeed, that is by far the best method from 60-73, except... First; make sure that Mithril arrowtips aren't more profitable than Mithril bolts. You make 15x tips per bar, as opposed to 10x bolts per bar. Currently, it stands 825/bar (arrowtips) to 830/bar (bolts). Though when I trained, arrowtips were significantly higher. Monitor the GE for these two often!
  6. It hasn't been released, they're simply saying this.... If they add Prayer-X it will take away the "wow!" from seeing someone with a Prayer cape. ^^ I agree with what they're saying. [/hide] I never, ever had the "wow" effect for Prayer ever since Construction was released. I see you people whining and [bleep] about a skill being nerfed... going from 450k xp/hr to 240k xp/hr... DO YOU EVEN HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT 240K/HR IS? It's still vastly more than my best 36k xp/hr at ZMI, the fastest RC xp/hr available for me. 450k an hour? lol noob stfu, its always been 250k/hour at the best get some real levels before going around judging everything, better yet gtfo and go to rsof where you belong Wow, such a well-argumented post. You totally made me realise my mistake. Must've took you a long time to write out something like that. Define real levels, please? As far as I know, levels are levels, and I have 1832 of them. And it seems maturity does not come with total levels. FYI, I used information someone posted in this thread regarding the experience per hour.
  7. Would definitely suck, because F2P is the only place where fighting is still sort of balanced. In P2P PvP it's all AGS/DClaws specs pjers, full Dharoks and 25K'ers.

  9. Well yeah, I can't. And I probably never will be able to know for sure, unless I somehow get access to Jagex HQ... But 1/1000 is an pretty accurate guesstimate IMHO, from the people I've seen getting a Visage and the kills they made to get it. Another reason of the overexageration of numbers is people's warped memory, they tend to claim they "killed over 2K+ Iron Dragons to get a Dragon drop". I doubt they'd even pass 500 if you actually counted them. Funny note: This can also be applied to nostalgic memories. i.e. "Runescape/Tip.it/Generic forum #581 was way better in the past, everything was more cosy, everyone acted more mature and there were far less noobs". You often hear it from people who spend 3+ years on a forum. 9/10, they are wrong, they just recall the good stuff and the accompanied freshness everything had.[/notontopic]
  10. he prolly used ring of recoils not only lamps lol Not counting in the food and saying an average of 700 coins per ring and saying he went from 1 Slayer to 66 witht them, that'd accumulate to 12,407 Rings of Recoil used, at a cost of about 8.7M coins. Not counting in the cost of restorative items. Whoopdedoo.
  11. Lottery fallacy rules in this thread... If you take the chance of visage as 1/10,000 (too high imo, but anyway) and let's say you've killed 100 Iron Dragons, there's a 0.99%* (better than the 0.1% you'd initially expect) chance you've gotten a Visage in those 100 kills. Let's take you've killed 500 dragons, You could think the odds are 5% now (500/10,000), but mathematics show your odds are now 4.9%. Take it higher, kill 2000 dragons, your mind'd think 20%, but you're only at 18%. And still: the chance of getting a Visage the next kill is still 0.1% (1/10,000). Seeing as the drops are independant of each other (and the rule of addition only applies to dependant calculations). * ( 1-(9999/10,000)^100 ) Though, honestly, from what I've seen, the drop rate of a Draconic Visage should be more to the 1/1000. Don't underestimate this number (aka: OMG I KILLED 1.5K AND NO VISAGE!!!!) Because the chances of you having obtained the drop within those 1.5K kills is still only 77%, and you'll be probably be as unlucky the next drop as you were in your first. Maybe it's even 1/500. The drop rate on Dragon Legs and Skirts is, from hearsay, about 1/100. Give or take. Should still not be underestimated.
  12. So I should save up Blues and Crimsoms I'm probably not going to touch for several months/years? :?
  13. I'm not interested in training past 74 either way (well, maybe 78, that increased yield from Ents looks sweet). So don't go: save for Geysers. I couldn't care any less about it.
  14. What do I use Crimson charms on at lvl 70-74? I want something that's easy to get in bulk, preferably no Stranger Plants 'cause their secondary costs too much. :?
  15. This, and the Runecrafting guild are great updates for pure skillers. At first, I didn't care much for RC guild. Boring game, slow xp, annoying teams (better on 50/50) and pouches that cost too much to fix. But then, I thought of the skillers. These people could not do the Abyss, ZMI (well, they can, but 4x as slow) and Graahks. They could also not access pouches of any kind except small. They were basically limited to how people approached RC like they did in early 2005. Unnoting at General store running back. In the meanwhile, the prices of the runes plummeted to people who could afford the other methods. But with the guild, this changed, and they could get normal-rate XP. This is no different. In the past, pure skillers had to use the XP lamps they got on the Slayer skill. How Soul in Pain got 66 Slayer doing that is beyond me. But now, with Penguins and Soul Wars, this has become more manageable. So I'm in favour, though the combat xp values are way high. Sadly, I expect a nerf to come soon.
  16. I what way will there be reaching out? Will they actively involve Tip.it in reflecting, suggesting, discussing what is there (like real-life board meetings)? Will they lurk about in the forums? Will they actively search for suggestions and improvements? And how did they reach out? A mail, a MSN conversation, a letter? I'm curious to its contents as well. :-#
  17. In order of personal interest: 1. Mahjarrat & Lucien (Epic) 2. Elf (Priffdinas needs to show itself) 3. White Knight (Acolyte and Partisan armour, please) 4. Myreque (y h3l0 thAr Vanstrom, c my flail) 5. Fairy Tales (I want an offer I can't refuse...) 6. Pirate (These be fun quests) 7. Fremennik (Acheron any time soon?) 8. Gnome (Arposandra plx) 9. Elemental Workshop (Body and soul left?) 10. Rise of the Red Dwarves ("Oh right! They exist!" Nothing exciting, though)
  18. It's the symbol for Bandos. You can also see it in Graardor's room (the shrine to which you pray) and many others places in GWD (Frozen door, on the Bandos' Camp door, etc), the Goblin temple and on Zanik's forehead (and several other places). I seriously wonder how they make the goblin series epic enough for 150. After all, all the other quests from the series were, to be frank, not anywhere near challenging or very rewarding.
  19. [hide=] Zanik isn't in the box! OMG OMG OMG breakthrough :!: :!: OK maybe a bit exaggerated. Would be kinda lame if Zanik was stuck inside a box the whole time... how epic and senseful storywise is that? So it's kinda a given that he isn't actually stuck inside the box. It's like in The Matrix: There is no box. Zanik isn't in the box..... YOU'RE IN THE BOX!!! OMG THE WORLD IS THE BOX! AND THE BOX IS THE WORLD! The box that Zanik is trapped inside is true freedom, and we're all trapped! It makes perfect sense now! [/hide] [yt]ZHt_GzOgjvA[/yt]
  20. I'm not pretty fond of* Red Salamanders, they were the thing that made me start hating Hunter in the first place... *(Read as: I wish I could singlehandedly murder every single Red Salamander and I'd savour the misery I'd put them through.)
  21. What's the fastest way to do it? And what's the least boring? Preferably, the thin line between those two.
  22. Once you hit 75 Smithing, consider making Adamant Arrowtips with Stealing Creation Hammers. Get the hammers in a non-combat SC clan (fastsc, fastsc1/2/3/4 is what I used). It's what I'm doing for 76-88, and I only get 6~8M loss.
  23. Which is why I hate Strength. It's THE most overhyped Combat skill. Either way, I hate getting combat XP, but I love boss slaying. Double-edged sword. :?
  24. Don't laugh with phobias. Saying that is like saying: "It's pretty pathetic that the mentally handicapped talk so weird. They should just go up and talk like a normal person." Harsh? Yes, but you do it too.
