It seems like they had intentions to do this to please higher level slayers. The problem is they just ended up kicking us in the face yet again with another low(ish) leveled monster. Let's be honest...78 is in no way hard to achieve. Oh well. I don't want to sound like one of the hundreds of Jagex bashing whiners. Hopefully we'll get the update we're hoping for someday.

Started playing April of '05. Good times have been had.

I've never been a big fan of clans, but even I can see the other side. This is called a multiplayer game for a reason. It's much easier and MORE FUN with other people. Could you imagine how boring RS would be if you had to do everything by yourself? And as lame as it sounds, being in a clan kind of feels like being in a family after a while. Being able to log in and just chill and talk to everyone while escaping the real world is just a great feeling. Organized domination is so much more enjoyable than with random people you don't even know.

Damn, haven't seen a mention of Sailing in a topic for months... This update sounds like it has a ton of potential. I can't wait to see what they have planned.

I'm pretty sure that a RoW has absolutely no effect on treasure trails. Same thing with Barrows.

I really think people need to stop whining and just accept the updates as they are. The GE was a great update. Something needed to be done to make up for the removal of free trade. You speak like a person who has never used it. My god. I for one have saved countless hours by using it. Must every useful update that involves making our lives easier be bashed upon as making the game too easy? Sure there are some circumstances, but honestly... Also, there's nothing that bothers me more than analysis of UNRELEASED content. Do you have any freaking idea how it will work for sure? Replace energy restoring familiars? Give me a break. I'd love to see someone try and rest while soloing at Sara gwd.

Very, very well said. Pretty much all the stuff I've had going through my mind when people b!tch and complain about RS sucking so bad... You made me realize that the main reason I love RS so much is because of the unique questing experience as well as mini games. The quests in other mmo's just really, well...suck. Then again, those "other mmo's" are usually for raid obsessors. I for one, love the huge variety of activities RS has to offer. It's what really makes me want to keep playing.

Nothing can live up to Christmas of '05 in my mind. I can still picture the cutscene showing the gigantic tree in place of the Varrock fountain...oh yes, that was wonderful...

Man, this made me laugh pretty hard quite a few times. If a player is actually as addicted as this person assumes, then I would think skipping meals is a more likely possibility.

It stimulates your sense of sight, and thus, its not "only pixels" Everything in life is really just a gigantic thing that stimulates one or more of your 5 senses. Like I read in somebody's sig...don't recall whose. Something along the lines of: Calling your RuneScape character "just pixels" is like calling money "just paper."

This. The only kind private servers I would deem "acceptable" (in this case, not pointless) are RSC ones. They're a popular alternative for the people who got screwed over with the 6 month log in thing. Then there are things such as old pking etc. like people have mentioned.

I have an account named "I Eat Forks" I thought it was pretty bad [wagon]. I get a lot of comments when I go play on it... "Omfgz do u reli eat forks??"
