  1. The reason people don't find quests fun is because many aren't. Quests that are supposed to be "hard" are actually "long and boring" involving lots of walking and/or item gathering and/or trial and error (RFD, Desert Treasure, I'm looking at parts of you guys). I personally like doing quests without guides, but I tend to look at the items required first and amass them in my inventory or bank - sure, knowing what item/s I'll need shoots down some of the puzzles, but I think it's still worth it. If a new quest comes out and I can do it, I'll do it ASAP unless I'm not interested in the storyline at all.
  2. Okay - I agree with parts of what you're fighting for, and if I had to choose I'd probably take your side. The old wildy had its flaws but it still was much better than the new one, where success involves waiting 2 hours to get 100% EP and then praying not to blow it away against some useless enemy who doesn't risk anything, teles then gets killed out of sight later, or just on someone who will kindly give us a 100k kill for that two hours of work, risked equipment and the effort to kill someone. It is also true that RWT could have been stopped by other methods, which would only have required slight tweaks of the Wilderness. Now here comes the problem: Jagex isn't going to admit their mistake, they won't revert the change even if it would be a wise decision and finally, NOBODY CARES ABOUT PETITIONS. Online petitions just don't succeed, period. So that shoots down this attempt.

  4. 88? That is another way to put HH! We'll get to sail the submarines of the Red Navy to combat this new threat! Oh please.
  5. The problem here is indeed that the combat triangle from the mages' and rangers' part is only held up by safespotting.
  6. Zero. Something that can kill me is IMO more likely to kill me anyways. I also point my fingers and laugh at the quest guides which tell us to take RoLs to boss monsters of an impressive level 100 (!!!). Yes, that was sarcasm, I know some of you didn't get it.
  7. I'm happy with the new dwarf quest, myself.

  13. Unfortunately, Jagex's definition of "hard" is closer to the real definition of "long and boring". The easy quests are almost all very short.
  14. Rather a waste of a T.I.T... at least the second article was mostly worth it though.
  15. Agility. I'm at 90 now, which means I've taken a small break, but tomorrow I'll get to it once more and except for critical dailies and weeklies, I won't stop till 99.
  16. I think the people that actually make the game might know what they're talking about when it comes to their own game :| If Jagex says that the game is a 18+ rated FPS, is it so? Same here - if they say it's not a demo, they're wrong. They just don't know what can be counted as a demo and what cannot. If you got the full game for free and could pay $5 every month to have access to weapon specials, for example, that would count as an "expansion". But when 5% of the full game is available to F2P, it is safe to say that the F2P is actually a demo. That is a bad analogy. They're not saying it's a FPS or anything like that are they? It would be a demo if they let you get to say, level 30 of members skills then said that you could only get higher if you bought members. It's not how much extra members have, rather how much F2P does have. They've said that there are hundreds and hundreds of hours of content for F2P. It might be a small area to work in but you can still work to level 99 in lots of skills. They are saying that it's a demo. Saying that is like saying the game is a FPS in one thing - both are wrong. A full game that has 10 hours of gameplay is a "demo" then? Oh please. It is about how much of the full game is available to the free players compared to what is available to a paying customer. As I said, the F2P aspect of the game is extremely little compared to members - if F2P has hundreds and hundreds of hours of content, members probably has ten thousands of hours of it. And never forget that most of that F2P content is grinding skills like the one that has no benefits past 85 (90 on members) to 99 - with the required XP doubling every 7 levels, think about it. Admittedly, that makes up most of members too, but if we take out both, I think members would have an even more crushing advantage, with much more quests, much more minigames etc. I'm gonna go sleep soon, so I'll also address the argument that's waiting to be thrown in the fray: "RuneScape started out as a free game". But now it isn't, not anymore.
  17. Why should I be polite to people I'll likely never meet again? That's the general attitude I take when dealing with someone who whines about me cannoning. I crash meleer parties without remorse, myself. Now, if someone is smart and politely asks me to hop, I DO explain him nicely that I need my cannon to do stuff efficiently. But if not... well, sarcastic comments ensue.

  19. Jagex should quit with the BS that "RuneScape is a free game, you can pay to unlock extra content though". The RuneScape F2P world is just a small chunk of the real deal, half of the skills and areas are incomplete, everywhere you can see people, dungeon entrances and interactable objects telling you to upgrade. It's a demo, no matter what they say.
  20. If I don't have to get out of my way or stop doing something for it, I'll answer most questions that are asked politely enough. (A short story to it - I was wandering around Tai Bwo Wannai when someone came up to me and asked where Beckon is, and said he was doing a clue. Well, I informed him that maybe the game wants him to do the emote, and that he must do the emote inside the fenced-in village. Well, he gave me 10k for the help. It just might go this way for you as well.)
  21. I used to be 100% F2P too, then I became a member.
  22. I would like to have a really nice house other people can enter and enjoy, but ala$, I don't have enough money. Regardless, whenever I feel like updating my house I generally try to make it both look nice and have all kinds of stuff in it, both useful and trinkets.
  23. I wouldn't do it. There are so many better things to do... such as, like, getting 99 in about 14 other skills instead? Of course, I wouldn't even do that, if I had to RuneScape for that amount of time I'd play minigames. And think about it... let's say you get 200M in a skill but "only" have, say 10 99s otherwise. Other than your friends, nobody will even recognise your achievement! You aren't on top of the highscore list, only those who are (and the "first 99 in a skill" people) are famous. Passers-by might look up your stats and say "Woah z0mg nice", but then they forget you as well, because there is Zezima, Gertjaars or god knows who else to worship.
  24. On. If someone is bothering me, it takes a few clicks and they'll never bother me again from that account.
