What if the Dupe never occured
Who's to say that other people haven't duped items in the past, just without the stupidity of going public about it? Duping was extremely easy in the start of RS. When you got disconnected from the server and you had just dropped an item, sometimes when you logged back on the item you dropped on the ground was still there, and you also had the same item in your inventory still. 'They fixed this after alot of ppl found out and Andrew became aware of it. But it's just an example that you didn't have to have a 3rd party program to be able to alter the games dimensions. It's obvious that the people behind the most famous dupe did it for fame alone, but there are many more who would be content without having to advertise their feats.

Funny stuff

Jagex Working On Third MMO
SD, their 2nd MMO hasn't even made BETA status yet. "Working on it" could just be drawing on a piece of paper for all we know. Or talking about it at the water cooler.
-
Jagex is closing down botsites
They could only shut it down because the website name is similar to Runescape, and the content supposedly encouraged browsers to go to other games in direct competition with Runescape, lol.

Jagex Working On Third MMO
Not much to talk about really, except for guesstimating.
- Wtf happened?

An Intelligent Perspective On Botters
You mean India right? You're only allowed one child in most areas of China so your opinion is rather outdated.

What song do you listen to in runescape to get you "pumped up"
RS can't get me "pumped up".
-
This made me cry
Not really. it says the avg age is 16 yrs . But the common perception, or in other words, the common belief is that theres a ton of 8 yr olds running around in the game.
-
This made me cry
i don't get why you're so mad. Where does it suggest that 95% have mental and developmental problems?
-
Nice Priorities, Jagex.
Haha that kid in the report macroers bot video has lame humor. After reporting somebody "lol owned"..............no he did not get owned.. :-? Wasting time reporting legitimate players is pretty much "owning" yourself BIZNATCH!!

Funny stuff
Found this list somewhere some of the stuff is hilarious! U can tell it was made at the time when blue and alchemon were the top dogs. ------------------------------------------- Your character might be too strong it You log on and the servers crash. Greater demons are green to you. You kill somedbody and it deletes them instead of sending them to Lumby. Casting Water Strike creates a new lake. The anvils can't take the shots from the hammer. You cast Weaken on your opponent and he goes into a coma. You use a Fire Blast and the ice cave melts. You're the reason they took away the PK system. Your fighting stats hit triple digits. You log in and everyone else logs out. You walk into the wilderness and it's deserted. You can kill demons with a bronze sword. You start inventing your own spells. Other players pray to you. Monsters never get 3 rounds to run when you attack them. You walk up to the greater demon spawn, and the crowd parts to let you pass. You turn on Protection from Missiles, go into the wilderness for a 2-hour killing spree, and when you return, you still have prayer points left. You're the best in every skill on the server status. You suffer a nasty 15 second lag and come to surrounded by rune large helms. When Bluerose asks to buy something you made. When Alchemon offers to be your bodyguard. When there is an option of "Do not allow people to follow me" made just for you. When Bluerose can't hit you with a spell. When Andrew asks you, "What would be challenging for you?" When the server status refuses to put your name on it because it "discourages people from playing." You can't find anyone to fight in wilderness level 48. For fun, the mods ask if they can gang up on you. You log on and people start PMing you there passwords. You killed the dragon and you didn't gain a level from the quest. You can open locked doors with your hands. All rats and spiders in a 30-square radius of you die instantly when you walk past. You have fletching and herblaw levels already. Andrew goes insane trying to create a monster you can't kill. Instead of seeing the "Attack" option in the wilderness, people see "Don't even try it, pal". Your combat level is written in scientific notation. You go to the black hole experience without a disk and come out fine. Imps start tipping you off as to who took which bead, and where you can find them. The altars pray to you. You kill a monster and it doesn't respawn. Alchemon begs you to log off so he can be on server status. Greaters take strength potions to fight you. Oziach doesn't bother wasting your time and just GIVES you the Rune Plate. You ARE the server status.

Why did this never happen Andrew..?
Old tip.it news. I like the part where the guy gets 3.5k for 3 hours of muling, lol, good times. Probably because of the item bank update later on the idea got scrapped. But even with item banks I still think it would have been a great addition! So who else still wants camels? P.S. On a side note, the guy with the awful spelling is actually the creator of this website (tip.it) hehehe.

Bots are making a come-back

EA/Activision Told Jagex To [bleep] Off
That describes it all.. Nowadays it seems a must that everyone needs to be big, and have lots of shareholders.. There is a problem with this way: sooner or later the one who setted up the company will retire.. And the one to follow him up will be a (sell appointed) "manager" (ugh I hate to announce that word, a better word would be "leecher"). At that point the headquarters will be putted at some "strategic important" location. - Like in the US. Then after a year or 2-3 the shareholders start demanding more profit (even if the company is making good profit already). And as a manager -who doesn't know anything about the culture the company was started, and doesn't feel any affliction wth the work that is being done- he just sees 2 ways to make money: get more done, or cut in the costs.. Getting more work done isn't possible without risky technological advancements: so the manager (who doesn't want to take risks and pray for 20 years in the future, he only cares about the next 5 years as by then he earned enough to live out his life on the Bahamas) simply starts cutting in the costs.. And start "splitting up" (read: destroying everything people build) the company in smaller parts. Without any regard for the people & families behind that company, nor the culture & goals. He will close perfectly profitable parts of the company just so he gets more shortterm profits and earns his bonus from the shareholders. Then after that doesn't make enough money he'll simply move important parts (first the cheap production lines, then the research) to low-cost countries like india. After that he still hasn't enough, his eyes are full of $$$ and he wants more. The last bit of the company is being simply taken away and brought to other countries.. Yet now he sees already a small dip in his profits.. He quikly decides he has done his job very well -he did create lots of profit in the years he was the head- and leaves the company to it's own. -not forgetting his bonus for leaving the company of course-. Now the company starts a downward spiral, and suddenly becomes a victim for an aggressive take over: someone who splits up the company even more.. Decides that thousands of jobs are not making profit (wow who would've guessed, a company is a whole - splitting it up creates just 2 non working parts). And in the end the company is only a sandpiece of the castle it once was. And what does the manager say (of course while smoking a fat cuban sigar in his villa at the bahamas): see my job was very important; while I was there I was making lots of profit, since I left the company has gone down hill. How I love the economic model these days! exagerration and watching movies much? jumping to conclusions much? also your example can basically not be applied to this business section. stuff like "moving the production to india" etc. this is Jagex, not Nike. I don't see how your post has any relevance at all here. Nope it's literary what happened here to a company called "philips".. It used to be "our" proud, from this region, where frits philips started his company and let it grow as consumer electronic company. All production parts are already closed down.. And now research is closed.. My father who worked for research about "poly-leds" (polymere leds, which would be able to create bendable screens), suddenly has nothing to work for.. He was leading the research for 20 years already.. But some manager -pushed by the shareholders from especially the US- said it wasn't profitable enough.. And the research part had to stop halfway research (now it's going to production to reap it's benefits now instead of investing in future). 100s of people are loosing there job thanks to this simple action. My father has worked long enough that philips doesn't want to loose him yet, however my father looses something he has worked on for years, something he was proud of. - He could say: hey that was something I made possible! How inhuman is to do that all to strive for better profit especially on short term? Ow and don't get me started about GAMMA holding.. Also sold out to some private investors from the US & oil states. It was (and still is) very productive and making profit. Yet the investors want the money back and suddenly 2000 people lose their job next year - where is the humanity? Or the company called "V&D", founded during the golden age.. Yet since around 1980 in foreign hands: and "suddenly" that company has started closing many shops, and is even being sold out for "any price reasonable". - Where is the proudness for such a long history in a company? But this is striving off topic: I just hope jagex can hold their own in this world while it lasts (sooner or later a change has to be made in this *all for money* world. Else in 15 years we'll reach a point where global environment starts becoming poisonous, and we'll break the point where nature will not -easily- restory itself). ' You are still overdramatasizing what could happen to Jagex. Yes those 2 stories are legit. And so what? When has this happened to an online gaming company? Explain to me what profit you could get out of splitting up the different branches of JAGEX. As you probably now realize, your examples have no relevance to this topic. That is my point.

The REAL Undisputed Best Old School List Of True Pkers
I feel like I just wasted 25 seconds signing in and typing this and I realize it's been 5-7 years but you shouldn't even be close to mentioned. You hung around some of the good pkers but you weren't really known. You started late and you were level 70-80 the majority of the time you played runescape. I'm sure you didn't kill me, swifty, adx, arkan, zorro, kdog, any other good pker. Na you're right I was a latecomer to the Main scene of things but I promise I held my own with my 300-400+ sets and probably the only person that could confirm that would be Oergg lol. But never had the chance to fight anyone you mentioned. However, it just struck a chord many names that were indeed mentioned I tore up. ya but now u r a god mr infiltrate destroy rebuild hehehe :) give me something expensive
