  1. Keep in mind that is the RSOF, so any "popular opinion" on there should be taken with a grain of salt. Wow dude. Way to rip on how the real world works. That's exactly why the world is in an economic crisis. Stupid glorified gamblers betting money on money, screwing eachother over with underhanded tricks, and taking the entire world economy down with them by extension. This is a videogame. Jagex can make anything as magical and outlandish as they please; the last "realistic" aspect I want in this game is the same broken economy our world is founded on.
  2. So now you actually have to contribute to the economy to make money? You can't just make money by doing nothing anymore? Too [bleep]ing bad.
  3. You have to find the "ornamental" needle IN THAT ROOM. Nothing's changed. "Nothing's changed" pretty much sums up my take on the whole update. Sure, stackable resources are nice, but skilling is still slow as ever. Just because we can hold more shit doesn't make it worth doing. Toolbelt's nice I guess, and the permanent high tier picks/axes are too. But they're still useless for gathering resources, because skilling is still pretty pointless. As a solo dungoneer 95% of the time, I have to say, this update didn't fix shit when it comes to solo xp rates. 1. gathering/artisan skills item stacking = pointless in solo 2. permanent high tier tools = pointless because of the above 3. keys stored in toolbelt = convenient, but only serves as an inventory saver in solo 4. no solo xp boost = [bleep] YOU, JAGEX
  4. Does anyone know if this shop "improvement" screwed up daily shop runs for profit?
  5. Do pyramid plunder, definitely. Not only is the xp rate lightyears ahead of pickpocketing knights, but if you're really worried about money, it's also the better choice. Just bank the artifacts and sell them later.
  6. Perhaps they were white boots? I haven't really checked to see if they were updated recently along with the armor overhaul, but it sounds plausible.
  7. You need a mithril crossbow or better to fire enchanted emerald bolts.
  8. It's 100% just for fun. No "real benefit".
  9. I suddenly have a strong urge to play Castle Wars. Well done on the editing!
  10. The way the worded the info on the toolbelt in Daemonheim leads me to believe you can't permanently add higher tier tools (pickaxe, hatchet). They say something like "once you find them, you can stick them in your toolbelt to save inventory space". So if you get a better pickaxe or hatchet, you can add it to your toolbelt just to save space, not to keep it after the dungeon (permanently).
  11. I wish the permanent Eggsterminator would have the stats of a sling. How badass would is be to shoot marshmallows and eggs at monsters and actually kill them with it? But obviously that's too OP. It's pretty much like a free sling that's totally untradeable and will be discontinued. That would be an unfair advantage, and I could never see Jagex doing such a controversial thing.
  12. While anyone on an MMO would likely agree with those terms the loophole is the fact that in literal terms as seen by law and such as long as you get something you have 'won' it does not matter the value. Then why don't all online gambling sites guarantee that you always "win" something? Perhaps even if you lose, you get some kind of virtual item, like a cabbage let's say? Then they could totally avoid the anti-gambling laws. Everyone's a winner*! *some moreso than others
  13. Wilderness nerf. You mean the one, where they brought the Wild back after 4 years? I was thinking of a removal after 1 week (or so) of releasing the update. Other thing I can think of is the token requirements for DG items, but that was a "we already planned this, but thanks for the feedback." And the reduction of spirit shards from 50 gp to 25 gp, but once again that's just messing with the numbers not a full reversal. I think they could "mess with the numbers" by making "paid spins" unable to give xp lamps. In turn, perhaps they'd increase the chance of Wheel specific items, such as tattoos, hats, horns etc.
  14. Thankfully the Squeal of Fortune spins are too goddamn expensive to really be abuseable. But the general idea behind it is really shitty. Especially because it is gambling regardless of what Jagex claims. Getting a cabbage isn't "winning", that's "losing", and when there's losing, it's "gambling". The fact that you spend real money to do so could actually make it illegal in some countries. I actually hope somebody files a lawsuit against Jagex for online gambling (as well as letting kids use their parent's credit cards without need any confirmation to do so) and they have to get rid of this Squeal of Fortune payment crap. On the subject of dungeoneering: WHERE IS MY SOLO DUNGEONEERING XP BUFF?! Soloing is so terrible compared to team dungeon delving, and in some cases, takes more effort on an individual's part. When you're in a team, often there are a few people being totally lazy while a few others are doing all the work. Even if they slow the dungeon down to an hour the experience is still miles ahead of soloing. And don't get me started on leeching...
  15. [spoiler=Video of 300+ Spins, Shameless self plug] sad lol buyable rc anyone? Say neigh to gambling! Unless we benefit of course! - Jagex So, exactly how long did it take to complete those 300 spins?
  16. I'm with you. I don't think that Optimus' catchphrase "Auto-Bots, roll out!" would work too well though. Well, perhaps he could mean "roll out" of the game.....Anyways, yeah... I was thinking the same thing. Now wouldn't it be awesome if they released the Transformers MMO alongside the next Bot Nuke and subscribers could control go into Runescape as a transformer and kill the crap out of convicted botters?
  17. My idea for the dragon warhammer's special attack: Hugely powerful attack that takes a few seconds to "charge" and does something like +50% damage that's very accurate and uses only 50% spec bar. While charging, you can't move, eat, or do essentially anything. Also, in multicombat, it can hit multiple enemies at once. Your opponent could just step away before the attack hits, but if they're within the 3x3 square around you, they'll get whacked. I think it would be an interesting element to be added to PvP. It can deal tons of damage with great accuracy, but it's very easy to see coming due to the charge. You can even take advantage of the opponent's charge time to deal damage to them while they're unable to heal, but risk getting smacked for a lot of damage if you aren't careful. In PvM it would be more reliable seeing as monsters can't run away, as well the fact that it can do AoE in multi, it would be great for some situations.
  18. Sagaies are as fast as crossbows?! Wow, I heard they were much slower. I wonder if they're actually a viable option.
  19. So, with the release of Morytanian tasks, will the leg armor complete the "task armor set"? Or will we still need to fill the necklace slot and get a "proper" weapon task reward? And there's still the ammo and aura slots left after that, but I find it highly unlikely they will be included. What about a belt slot some time in the future? I hope we get tasks in the Kharidian Desert one of these days. I'd love an amulet that combines the cramulet with the enchanted water tiara, as well as infinite teleports to the camulet destination. Wilderness tasks would be interesting to see, too. Maybe you could get a weapon that increases in power the more wilderness PKs you have. Then you can spend some charges (akin to a DFS) for a powerful special attack of some sort. We're definitely getting Daemonheim tasks eventually too... Oh, and let's see how many Morytania tasks we can guess!! GO!! -Cut down a bloodwood tree in Darkmeyer and fletch some bakriminel bolts (86 woodcutting, 93 fletching, Branches of Darkmeyer) -Mix a prayer renewal potion using fellstalks and morchella mushrooms you grew yourself (92 farming, 94 herblore) -Kill a vyrelord with a full powered-up blisterwood weapon (Branches of Darkmeyer, 500 burnt vyres) -Get a special task from Duradel/Lapalok and slay every monster in Slayer Tower in one trip (85 slayer) -Kill all 7 barrows brothers, Akrisae included! (Ritual of the Mahjarrat) Bonus points if task is named "Brother From Another Mother"
  20. That is [bleep]ing awesome. It must've taken forever and a day to make.
  21. Miasmics are so incredibly expensive, though. Even more so than storm of armadyl because of the zuriel staff cost. In general, magic is a lot more expensive to use, and rangers can get by just fine with sub-100k equipment. The corrupt version is a bit over 500k and can be used one cast at the time iirc. If it degrades like chaotics then each cast is about 5k more expensive (2 ticks combat per cast, one hit dealt one taken, 2000 ticks per staff). That's not that much considering the power. I remember at one point using PvP ancient equipment would degrade it a minimum of 1 minute every time you equipped it. That was to prevent people from just wielding a weapon for one special/spell and getting thousands of uses out of it. Did they change them to no longer have a minimum of 1 minute degrade, or was it always this case?
  22. Either that is a server dump rsps, or he broke the wheel somehow It's a Jmod. This was made clear in the video and the description.

  24. -Rangers also have numerous weapons with 10 range (same as magic) but they generally do less damage than a crossbow. -Polypore staff has a crappy range, I think even a crossbow could outreach it. -Bolas can be used by rangers to freeze mages to prevent farcasting. -I hear some range weapons have even farther reach than 10, such as sighted magic longbows. Theoretically, they could bolas and "farcast" a helpless mage. Just bringing up a few points on the subject, I'm not really arguing in favor of range of mage of being OP. I've never seen anyone using these tactics, so it's just in theory. Somebody should really test this stuff out, it could be some pretty useful stuff.
