  1. Maybe i should have added this to my first post but the title is i never thought this would happen... meaning for me i never thought firemaking could lead to profit. What things have you never thought would happen but have?
  2. I never thought firemaking could ever lead to profit... but its true ashes are worth more then maple logs. Doub many people would take the time to wait for the logs to burn and pick up the ashes but you could.. What things have you never thought would happen but have?
  3. If you think about it in more that he mined 2 gems before he was able to mine one iron ore it is kinda of oddity and fairly rare. From what i recall when minning iron you get an iron ore nearly every swing so to not get the ore inbetween is fairly rare. Of course the feat is a meh who cares but the thread has reached 3 pages...
  4. I hope they give us the option to turn the system off or simplify it to just a damage splat. Kinda like how we can chose to turn off those stupid icon things on everything.... Like ohh i need to know this is a door cause i would have had no idea of what this is... ohh this is a fish no [cabbage] really ohh and i can eat this cooked fish wow thank you i had no clue.... Ohh i can attack this goblin, oh my I would have thought i should try to fletch him into a bow, thank you little icon......
  5. I recall logging into runescape and just playing as there was only one sever and you had no choice... Pking was everwhere but in lumby and in varrock the guards would become agressive and attack you if you attacked another player and would interupt your combat. Hey back then lvl 20 guards were a serious threat. A second sever update, removal of good and bad prayer and magic, removal of tailoring, the fishing update, addition of the wild and so on and so worth or the past 9+ years...
  6. Aww my fond memories of RS1.... I had a site and still have the offline webpages for a clan i was the leader of called the Red Barons I remember making it before we had rune plates when rune chain was the best chest gear.... Its funny i was looking at the fisherman guy who got black holed and that reminded me that I started playing RS before there was even fish to be caught lol.... Im hoping one day ill be the longest active player on runescape having never gone more then a week without playing since the beginning of 2001... Its my only hope of internet fame hahaha...
  7. They used to be most commonly level 2 clues but i have got level 1s and level 3s in the past.
  8. When you say you make 3M per hour, do you include the cost of potions, degrading armor, food and summoning scrolls? Most likely not and his 3mil per hour mumbo jumbo is based off of monster hunting and getting a high valued drop after x amount of hours and dividing the value of that one time drop over the amount of hours he has spent monster hunting... There is no way to earn, make, or get that much money every hour consistently hour after hour.
  9. No no! Continue, it's really interesting! More more more more more and it would be cool if someone posted the KB article on here as i cant access rs from work but can view the forum
  10. Idk if anyone knew oergg in real life i only new him from the internet but i think he still plays once in a while but i have to say one of the funniest pictures i have ever seen taken of a real life event featured "Oergg" i won't say his real name but when Al Sharpton visited Pittsburgh PA "Oergg" ran up and gave him a bear hug and he had pictures of it the look on Al Sharpton's face is classic so funny.

  12. Cut Jagex some slack id love to see you people who have never even seen programming code take a look at how complex something as huge as runescape's code is and then add something to it and have it work well not only graphically but on a whole spectrum of pcs/macs and and other operating systems with various states of upgrades to java. It's not easy to do what they do so stop whinning, STFU and quit if your not happy with the game they provide no one forces you to play it..... Ohh and if you don't want to quit but you do want want to cry about having to go 3 weeks without an update here is a virtual napkin to dry your eyes  so you can :-# and i can =D> To answer the poster above me i think its around afternoon time for England around 10-12 for Eastcoast USA and its late night for those in Asia, Austraila and NZ.
  13. It does seem odd that if the person being lent the item wanted to give back the item back early they cant.... It would seem a simple option with the banker to give back lent item would solve the problem. Leave the whole dying, dropping, high ach or any other way to get rid of the item as is.
  14. Frost Dragon bones are the least efficient bones. Anyways, like the above said use a BoB. Make the left click option "Take BoB" At the current prices, if you can make 3,2m an hour(which is possible with dk-s, td-s, bandos solo and frost dragons) frost dragon bones are more efficient than dragon bones, not even considering the xp you lose. So yeah, if you don't value your time at all, frost dragon bones are the least efficient of them, but if you do, they are the most efficient. When grinding bones(as the op is doing) he would be saving a massive amount of time by using better bones, but he probably has no idea what efficiency is. Ya he might just be playing Runescape for fun.....
  15. Well before the spammers got onto the thread it could have served some purpose such as how the level caps would be upped when Jagex decides to do it. Oh and its just a matter of time(2 or 3 or 7 years down the road) but the level caps will be lifted to 120.
  16. Well this is just my thoughts on the matter I think in time(assuming runescape remains popular) and more and more players get 99s in all or most skills they(jagex) will be forced into upping the level caps to 120. But it wont be all at once they would do it slowly first say with wood cutting and fletching. Batch of new trees and new arrows and new bows to make but these new items that would start at level 99 would give lots of xp to it wouldnt be such a grind to work your way up to 104mil xp(but they still make the new content take at least a 100 hours to finish off training with it to 120) It would be like getting a new skill but just a rework of the old one and adding alot more to it. Then the next year maybe they do cooking to 120 and add all kinds of new things to cook that heal better(faster eat times) and give large amounts of xp. Like a protein shake made from adding milk, yogurt(milk churned), strawberries, pineapples, chocolate, and papayas at 99 it heals 350lp and grants 475xp for each one completed but also grants smaller amounts of xp as each ingredient is added so from scratch it yields 1k xp. Anyway stupid ideas but thats how the skills will slowly be upped to 120 for all of them. They would do the faster to train ones first then if ever add the slow to train ones like Rune Crafting(why that would need to go to 120 i have no idea but it would be either the last one upped to 120 or maybe never.)
  17. Reading the news, huh? Find me the word "vuvuzela" on any of these front pages (or any other legitimate new source). Yahoo: Top Stories MSN: Top Stories CNN: Top Stories Time: Top Stories Not everyone clicks the sports tab and certainly NO ONE will randomly search for a word as obscure as "vuvuzela." Just because someone doesn't care about a sport, doesn't mean they're stupid. Where will it get you in life knowing who won the World Cup in 1966 (or 2010 for that matter)? Oh, it won't get you anywhere. Instead of being so condescending, why don't you help the unenlightened learn? Perhaps it's because you're an arrogant individual who thinks he's better than everyone else. Wake up, you're not. Get over yourself and learn not to be an ass to everyone you talk to. After a 5 second search on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/07/10/uae.vuvuzela.ban/index.html?iref=allsearch Ya... one of the thousand examples I can give you of the news mentioning the World Cup and Vuvuzelas. If you're implying that everyone is equal and no one is more intelligent than anyone else, you're hilariously wrong. People who don't read the news on a regular basis (searching Vuvuzela isn't reading the news) are ignorant and stupid. In the past 3 weeks i've read about 4 or 5 stories mentioning Vuvuzelas on the news. I can personally tell you that at times all of those sources except for "time" has had a front page article on the vuvuzelas. "Time" might have but i dont check there much so idk.
  18. I would think by just walking you can go about 4 miles per hour and since nothing takes that long to walk to, all of runescape sits on a 2 by 2 square miles of land and water. I guess you can pretend its bigger but if you put yourself into the game with a off road truck you very quickly roam around and see everything there is to see in a day.
  19. I have always found a way to train almost all skills and still find a way to make a profit while doing it. One skill i cant seem to find a way is firemaking ashes i dont think will ever be priced higher then the logs that create them :( idk what this has to do with this thread and im not sure what there is to discuss....
  20. Wow ill just add to the spam of this months updates sound really sweet. Can't wait although my dung level is like only 45 so there won't be many useful locations for me to enter. I guess i should get back to training dungineering....
  21. You can get 99 range for a very low cost just make your own arrows or bolts its slower then doing it the fast way but it wont cost you very much. You can even semi afk it by wearing your best defence gear and go range lower level agressive monsters with a ava's backpack on. Just check back like every once in a while to make sure the npcs are still agro.
  22. Danqazmlp it doesnt take much for the 13-18 year olds to get their panties in a bunch and complain about everything for them at this point in thier lives they think they have everything figured out and the world is stupid because everyone else has not got it yet. A good majority of the players in that age range have a very me first, im the best, i know it all attitude so of course they act and make the posts that they make. Hell sometimes it players will never grow out of this phase no matter how old they get. I remember typing over and over again about the new area being the staging area for the new skill but everyone wanted to say it was for a quest.... Its the same know it all dont think about anything mindset that most of the players in that age range have. Nothing will change that and its something that older players and mature players of that age range will just have to deal with.
  23. I like this idea sounds pretty cool i enjoyed working with the wise old man he was by far the most fun. Zanik was like come on you stupid goblin stop looking at crap and hurry up i have better things to do then lead you around. I don't think i have done the other quests with the allies so idk if they are any good or not.
  24. I think the point of the update was to make something that pkers were using as footwear and cost almost nothing now have a value to them and so loosing a pair causes you to loose 70k worth of value which will over time act a money sink. The increase in wealth is only temporary. Think long term so maybe in the short term 700bil was created you can only get at best 60% of that value minus the cost of the natures runes and once that money is gained it cant be gotten again and if that player wants to get another pair they must pay out 75k so over time this change will act as a money sink.... Rune boots: 88k climbing boots: 75k which will you be using? Also, the money doesn't come in momentarily, it takes a while to alch a big load. I'm guessing most edge pkers won't be using boots from now on. Thats even better maybe rune boots will see a rise once the current supply is bought up... @gromhell5's last post you could be right edge pkers might just stop wearing boots altogether...
