  1. I had 300, but I don't know when I checked last. Darn neopets sponsors.
  2. I'm probably going to see my relatives in Fremont. I don't know what we're going to do. I'm not a big fan of fireworks. I'm just hoping my cousin will fire up that grill!

Eh. No wonder Steve hasn't been in the IRC.. my hopes and wishes go out to Steve and his family.
  4. I was out on the beach for a good 3-4 hours, burning. lol. It was fun while it lasted, at least. :P
  5. The thing is -- most likely, you're not going to be seperated (because of schools) from your friends until high school or college. You're sad that you're going to have to leave your "second home", but tears don't come because you know everyone will be coming with you. :)
  6. What if you meant "automobile"? :P

To check your video card: 1. Click start -> run 2. Type in 'dxdiag' (without the '). Click yes (if the window pops up). 3. Click the display tab. Your video card should be identified there :)
  8. The standard battery is 2.5 hours (4 cell), but you can get the 8 cell for 5 hours. I think the 8 cell one adds 1lb more to the laptop, but that's all I heard.

What are your computer specs? RAM, video card, processor, etc?
  10. Well I did the same exact thing on my blog. :P
  11. Ack. You should buy some latex gloves so that you can't bite your nails. And if you were, it'd taste horrible. Kick the addiction!
  12. I was on a cruise and we went to Fanning Island (Kiribati), which is basically in the middle of the ocean. I relaxed on the beach and in the water.. and either the sunscreen wasn't strong enough (SPF 45) or it wasn't very waterproof. I burned half of both my arms and some of my back. It was painful..

Usually, APs give you 1 point higher for your GPA (A=5, B=4). Honors credit really depends on your school -- mine gave extra weights on honors classes in the 11th grade, but not the others. I really don't see why APs have more weight on them. Sure they're a bit harder, but they're not THAT much harder.
  14. Well hey, once I got the old man (w/ maze) 3 times within a few hours. I haven't gotten him for months now. If the random events are totally random, having a lamp already in your inventory should be independent of getting another lamp.
  15. You should send them an appeal and ask them what part of the name was offensive. :P
  16. It'd be fun for an hour and then you'd want your money back.
  17. Nope. I googled "Zen Micro case" and found instructions. Took me a bit of time (I didn't have the materials to make the case), but I finished it :) Crafting level +1, creative, and cool. 8-)
  18. Someone must have been to a bad website or opened an infected file on your computer. If you have an anti-virus and are using Firefox, most likely it is the latter. Runescape does not cause viruses or install spyware of any sort onto your computer. Try uninstalling the programs that you did not install. Then, scan with your anti-virus and the spyware scanners listed below: AdAware Spybot S&D Hopefully the scanners will pick everything up and get rid of it. If not, please says so -- we'll be here to help! :)
  19. wow you say dell overcharge but then reccomend alienware. rofl. lol, I was thinking the same exact thing. :P I always recommend the Dell Inspiron 700m for students. it's the one that I have. I'm sure you're not going to want to lug around a large laptop -- it's only 4lb, which is very light. It's overall an okay computer; it's not exactly a great gaming computer (64mb onboard video), but it can play basic games like Runescape. Now if you're looking into newer games like Battlefield or Oblivion.. this laptop won't do. :P But it is light, which is probably the best part about it. Speedwise I'm sure you could find a better laptop, but as a student, I rather not be lugging a heavy backpack around campus! :P
  20. Have you tried another monitor?

The trailer looks great. Can't wait until it comes out! :)
  22. I have a 8GB Zen Micro Photo (upgraded from a 6GB Zen Micro). I have 4GB of music, 2GB set as a USB/flash drive, and 2GB free space. Cost me $159 on sale. It's regularly $199, I think. Did my research and found that the Zen Micro was a much better deal than an iPod nano. It's cheaper, holds more, and reliable. Plus, it fits in my nifty Altoids case. Hehe. I love my case. I get a lot of comments in class about it. :)
  23. Striker is right. It's the fact that we can't see each other -- it is a lot easier to talk to others without a visual. There's no need to be self-concious about your actions or appearance. :) The only downside is that you can be as "fake" as you'd like to be. :P

I love high school GPAs. It makes me laugh just thinking about it, ahahaha. In high school, I had a cumulative 3.5GPA. I didn't really try very hard -- I'm sure I could have gotten a 3.8 if I had tried a bit harder. Lowest I ever got in a quarter was a 2.7; that was when I was in my emo stage. I step into college, do 4-5x more work than I did in all four years of high school, and I get a 2.7GPA for my freshman year. I've learned since then and have boosted my GPA to 3.1. Anyone ever wonder how American students would be doing if our standards were of another country? Say.. Belgium? Or Japan?
  25. Heh, I'm in the same boat. I've been job hunting and I've applied for a few places, but I don't think most places are looking for summer-only applicants (I'll be back in Davis for school in September). Learn something over the summer. Or just waste time with some buddies. As for books, what about Catcher in the Rye? Always a fun, quick read. I've read the book three times already and I would do it again! :P
