Just logged in to the game after 2 months...
I believe Jagex randomly halves XP in ~10 skills on the account that has been macroing. To be honest you're going to be very lucky if something gets done about it - $5 a month loss is nothing to them compared to the memberships of boatloads of macroers that comes rolling in every month. You should definitely try, but the harsh reality is that it's doubtful anything will happen. Very much worth trying though.

Need a new screen
Dell computers are indeed terrible, but their monitors are actually pretty decent, although they are quite expensive.

Connection Lost All The Time
There's an edit button at the bottom right hand corner of all of your posts - just use them to edit your message instead of posting again. Are you playing RS in a browser? If so, which one. Or are you using the downloadable RS Client? Try to change your browser or use the said client. If that isn't the issue it could be something to do with your internet or RS dc'ing you for some reason. You could just be idling for too long and therefore getting logged out.

Need a new screen
Screens are down to personal preference. If you're ok with the size and resolution/aspect ratio of that screen, then it should be great. Samsung is a good brand. However it doesn't have an HDMI input if that is something you might think about using in the future/now. It is also worth thinking about whether or not you want to bump that up to ~23/24" because with screens even just an inch makes a massive difference (inb4 those jokes).

Testing My Motherboard...
To root out that corrupt file you could use the chkdsk utility which comes with Windows. Just go to command prompt, and type in "chkdsk/f" which checks for errors and then will fix them.

Install Video/VGA Driver (ATI Mobility Radeon)
What exactly is the issue at the moment with your laptop? Does it not come up with a display? Or is the display really low resolution?

Testing My Motherboard...
If you have a spare hard drive lying around install it to there, or research how to install XP to a thumb drive. Don't lose your current installation because if it turns out not to be a motherboard issue it could be a pain. Then again if you have no choice, you have no choice. And yeah I would get a second opinion in case I'm wrong.

Testing My Motherboard...
If it was a hardware problem these errors you describe would happen on ALL applications, or at the least all similar applications, eg. if starcraft crashes so would any other game. In other words, the hardware can't be faulty because the same errors would occur for all similar applications due to them using similar parts of the hardware. If it WAS a hardware problem, the wide span of issues would mean that it seems to be more than one hardware element that was not working, although I see how you can narrow this to the motherboard. Corrupt DAT files would be to do with the HDD though, or again it could be the motherboard not sending the data correctly. So yeah I see that all of these errors could be traced to the motherboard. At this stage it's hard to tell whether it's an OS or motherboard issue, and so you need to test as I suggested above by using a linux distro or similar. (Although I don't know if this would work particularly well - Nyo is probably more able to comment on this as I have limited knowledge of how Linux-driven systems work, IIRC they load the OS into the RAM?) Either way it's something worth trying before forking out for a new motherboard.

R.A.T. 5 vs G9X?
I used my friends RAT 5 yesterday and you need quite small hands to use it. My hands aren't particularly big but it still felt too small.

Will this computer run RuneScape HD smoothly?
It's a laptop, and a somewhat old one at that. If you could provide the model name I could see some more detailed specs and give you a more detailed answer, but I don't think you'll be getting amazing HD framerates with that.

Zombie Plans - Revised (Revised)
I'd be sitting on my little hill with my awesome castle, with lava flowing down the sides and underneath.. oh wait this isn't minecraft :P Hmm I would stick with fire, a machine gun, and a shotgun. In a kind of urban environment - maybe one of those deserted cities they have in China that were described in a thread a while ago.

Testing My Motherboard...
That sounds like an operating system problem to be honest. Perhaps try running another copy of Windows off another hard disk on the machine, or a linux live distro.

Power Supply Recommendations
Never ever ever skimp on your power supply. Generic ones fry - I'm not just saying that they do. Diablotek is one of those brands. www.[Censored for time being].com/falconguide has some good advice on PSU's if you scroll to the bottom section. Antec, Corsair, and Seasonic are best.

Firefox or Safari?
I'm not sure if it's available for OSX, but the official RS Client can be used for playing RS out of a browser environment.

Firefox or Safari?
[hide=snip] [/hide] Hmm. Question one is difficult... I use both browsers, but I have problems with both. I suffer a bad support for things like java/flash/shockwave (<--lol who uses that anymore?) etc.. while using Safari. But Safari offers a safer environment, less flaws and loopholes. Meanwhile, Firefox... good old Netscape... it's generally fast, reliable, has awesome add-ons and all that fun stuff and makes for a good overall browser... in theory, anyway. I have had a horrible time with Firefox (my main browser) for the last several years, despite complete removals, reinstallations. It takes on average 45 seconds to start up for the first time of the day. After that it takes 10 seconds to load up each new window or to quit/start it again. Really rather annoying... It also crashes a lot, gives me tons of whitescreens, and I have to turn it off through the activity monitor(3) sometimes as even though it's off, it'll still sometimes be be destroying my CPU. That was longer than I wanted... oh well, anyway, your bit about Apple not supporting flash. Unless this is about something with the new upcoming OS version, I believe what you're hearing is about Apple's iPhones, iPads, and iPodDon'tTouchMeTheres. They don't support flash, as, honestly, in both Apple, and my own opinion; Flash is an abhorrent abomination of computer programming with more security holes, scripting flaws, and is prone to more crashing and bluescreening of your computer than any worm virus trojan or a hammer straight to your motherboard. So yeah, hope my opinion helps you out a little... I couldn't give you a Safari or Firefox direct answer, as I use both, and I don't know which I'd suggest you use for everyday use. I'd just try them out and see how it goes. :) [/hide]I don't want to start that argument again, but it does sound like you've been eating up all of Apples words and are reiterating them without any research. I've been using Flash for the past 10 years and I haven't suffered any 'crashing' or 'bluescreening' at all, let alone faults that are comparable with taking a hammer to your motherboard ;) If firefox had as many loopholes and security flaws as you imply then why would over 1/4 people use it? Why is there not more hype about how it opens up your computer to hackers if what you say is true? If you have such a problem with firefox and safari then just use Chrome.

I have a question
Patience, it's only been 2 days and it's still in the top 5 topics ;) If people have looked it and haven't replied you can assume they don't know. I could guess it's something to do with high/low detail, but that's a complete stab in the dark as I have no idea.

Firefox or Safari?
Apple releases its own custom versions of Java regardless of what browser you use, so you're a bit stuck there. However I think this is changing in some future release of OSx, I'm not entirely sure of the details though. Firefox is easily better than safari, and there are a tonne of addons you can stick with it.

I get kinda bored talking to guys all of the time, and seeing as I don't go the other way way having a girlfriend is someone of the opposite sex to talk to +more.

New Graphics Card
I wouldn't recommend it - if you get a different card to the one you have already and stick them in SLI, both cards will run at the slowest cards settings.

Install Video/VGA Driver (ATI Mobility Radeon)
If you go onto your laptop manufacturers website and the model page, there should be a download tab/page with drivers there.
