From what I have seen H'weens are bought out and are getting pretty high offers for them. I doubt you will be able to get a phat with just 1 set though as yellow phats are like 400M street. I think alot of mask for phat offers include like 2-3 sets at least. EDIT: Just saw a offer on the RSOF for a yellow. 1 disk 4 blues 3 greens No response as of yet, but judging by this your chances are near 0.

Any guesses as to how much it would cost to rent a server?

Exactly what i was thinking! This looks good. I only played for around 1 month before RS2 came out so i would love to see how much I missed out on!

On the forums atm there are some offers in the 8-12M range and some in the 25-40M range so it's kinda hard to judge. Also, alot of hand cannon and ammo offers which I can't really judge for value. One person seems to be offering 2 BGS's though. Edit: On a thread someone said the high alch value is 2M can someone with a D Pick confirm or deny this? ;) I'm sure there are ways without actually highalching.

So Excl, when are you taking this trip? It it a predetermained date or are they open? I really think that you should ask if you can take videos of your trip but give them the right to go over the footage and delete anything they deem 'secret'. That way we can see something but nothing too interesting (I wanna see Timbo's desk to see if it really is a troll working there). You HAVE to post at least something here about your trip. It would stabalize at what? 60-70 gp each? Thats just another nail in the F2P rcing coffin. Then with air runes at 14 each that means at 55 rcing you get to make 20k per hour profit! If ess was only 60 gp each, would members pick it up ever? They pick up p ess now but do they pick up normal ess now? Also, if ess is cheeper, runes go cheeper. I would rather not have nats at 150 each. (does anyone know what nat prices were before the p ess update? the latest I can remember is 330) I agree though, jagex should at least take a look at many of their old updates and revise some.

I have decided that your rare collection looks quite nice except that there are more then 2 pumpkins and disks so the only thing I can logicly rate is a 8/10 unless you sell me some of those rares to even off the collection. Oh, plus there are no eggs or crackers. Until you can get 2 of each the best you can now get is a 7/10.

Slayerbelle because (s)he stives to be unique and fresh and likes a challenge. Water Is Nat is my favourite high leveled F2P. From MMG's CC - All the other ranks for puting up with abuse. This is exactly how I feel (except I giggled at the Bumbum one a couple times but it never made me LOL). I did vote for Excl because I know he has made better vids in the past and should get recognised for being the best overall even if his entry wasn't necessarily his strongest work. I too feel bad about not voting for the linedancing just based on the sheer amount of time it must have taken. Just getting 2 people to do emotes at once is hard but to do it likely thousands of times with up to 9 (I think) people is insane.

Well, I tried logging in and it won't let me load the game. I checked and there are 25k people playing. So hopefully this means they are fixing glitches. The forums are also offline. EDIT - Tecmaster beat me to it.

So I have been hearing murmurs of a phat dump but I doubt its anytime soon. What I need to know from someone on 'the inside' is how far they will fall before being bought up again? Santas drop for like 2 days then rise but Phats were considered junk before the clans hit them. So will it be a complete dump or will it be a few people with cold feet causing a mini burp in the graph?

I am no expert on MMO's but imo f2p is the game and members is the 'expansion'. Just looking at WoW as an example, there was the original WoW, and then there are (and will be soon) 3 expansion packs. I think that if Blizzard gave away the original WoW game free it would be considered the complete game for f2p. There is a phenominal amount of stuff to do in F2p. Even if there was no p2p I would still play the f2p version because it is so big. On topic, that was a great article, one of the best I read from Jagex.

Yeah, they said that they are really only making the names available that have NEVER logged on (or passed Tutorial island I think). I kinda hope they make it so they can make a name available if a character has under 200 total or no stats over 60 and has not logged on in over 2-3 years.

Actually it is genious because not many other minigame sites like Miniclip would advertise for a rival site. So it it really the only place they can advertise to a large number of players without having to pay enormous fees. Plus if you love Rs and Jagex, why wouldn't you at least try out one of their new games?

Wow! It's really going to get confusing when reporting players... Report their username or display name? Can you tell their username? If there are 'special characters' that people can use, what if our keyboard can't type them? I sure hope their are no major bugs with the reporting system when they introduce this because it will spread like a wildfire. And with something that took 8 months to create, it won't be a simple change like aquanites not giving exp or something like that.

CORRECTION IS IMPOSSIBLE...because every minute someone will be alching...so it's impossible. Ahhh! Everyone is taking this to litterally! This was supposed to be a fun thread where people through out absurd assumptions as to how many items there are, not a leading into phylosophy! Sure it is hard to guess the number of runes or feathers. But other items like GWD armours shouldn't be that hard. It astounds me that a clan could make something as abundant as iron ore doulble in price. Maybe there aren't as many items in the game as we beleive.

The biggest problem I have with this update will be the uncertainty of whether a player joined in 2002 or just stole the name after. I know people come up to me and say "nice username, very unique" but now they will just think that I came up with it after the fact and in essence 'stole' it. Time to create a little list of names I want to steal, might as well make a few more accs to steal names with, 4 may not be enough... :twisted:

The numbers are far too high to guess on things like runes but for less common things such as Spirit Shields, Rares, even such things like GWD armours should be slightly easier to guess. I seem to recall a very old topic from Trojan2 (yes very old) where he discussed the amount of rares in the game as well as the estimated gp in the game. He had charts and all sorts of things like that. I was wondering if anyone had saved a copy of that topic or was in regular contact with Trojan2. I would love to see his gp estimates from years back compared to now. I searched for it and it seems anything made by Trojan2 has long since died. Carl, did I read that right....that you know 3 people who have half of your estimated 5000 santas? If so, the actual street price should be far lower then it is now...it is hard to think that over half of an entire item is controlled that completely by so few people. As for my thoughts, I am thinking that there are under 1000 of each partyhat left, although there are probably far less. For some reson I think there are up to 50 crackers left. I am probably thinking too highly of the amounts but it seems I always see partyhats so they can't be THAT rare. Oh, and PS Carl, it's not really that far from fair play ;) The only problem I ever create is making players pay 100 gp more per ammy then they normally would. I never cut off the supply. I did however single handedly take down Be Mercher's last attempt to controll powers while making 15M for myself. But that story is for another time, another place.
