Seercull was an "OK" weapon for dueling in certain situation, but just for the special. Now it's only something that's good to have for fun duels and CW where you find yourself versing mages.

kk tyvm!! Just so you know, the burners must be incense burners (the top 3 burners I believe? I know for sure two of them are marble and the mahog ones below marble) which use marrentil to light. Anything that doesn't need marrentils doesn't give a prayer boost. If you want a table telling you what boost comes from what go to tip it, press skill guides, construction and get the table for items there (It's under the levels and experience subsection I believe). I highly advice not using dragon bones or better bones on anything but a gilded altar with two lit incense burners. Search the RS official forums for an "open" house where you can use other people's altars.

Well.. If your friend has another account she could give you money back on that one. On the bright side, at least it's just a black mask :? Could have been worse.

Not really, coal is like 96ea at MTK and you can sell on forums for 150-200 (200 if lucky). I don't know about GE coal prices. Also with maples there's a chance of getting tree seeds, I believe some of those can be sold for 100k+, and the spirit tree seed seems awsome to me if you have to farming level (Does anyone in rs? :P )

I don't have a link but do this. Start ---> Control panel ----> Accessibility Options ----> Mouse ----> Use mouse keys ---> Accept. Now put numlock on and it's the number 5 that clicks.

I can't find the guide which has exp rates for all the weapons, but I'd say that it's probably between rune and dragon to whip. Even if you have a small goal, you're still going to train later on (most likely) so it's still a good option, earlier you start the more it benefits. I'll agree that the drops won't count for all the prayer pots, but consider that prayer pots aren't that expensive until you start buying ~1k and that you can make them yourself for free. The costs aren't that bad seeing as you can control them by making your own. As for the map, it's dependant on where you are, obviously if you stand right at the doorway it's going to be quite close, but if you train behind the chest it could be 1-2 mini maps away to get to a dusty, the dusties don't have to be waiting right at the doorway for you. Even if they are, it doesn't aside from the fact that they're non-aggressive :wink: Great idea, no way could you not make it in time with a house there :P As for the evil chicken, it has been updated to wait several seconds before attacking, this is ample time to get away from the giant, into the dusties-only area and flick on mage pray. Or just run away. Wouldn't that be underestimating? :-k Edit: Missed the bottom part, must have eddited it in later? I don't really like the monkeys, their defence seems so high to me, even when I use piety. But I guess it all comes down to preference :P

10k-20k exp extra/hr is HUGE, that's like upgrading from a rune scim to a whip, I'd definetly consider an increase like that. Also, dust devils are no where near fire giants, you have to travel a whole 2 minimaps or so to get to them. Not that much but for chances of them hitting you it's extremely far. Even then, dust devils are NOT agressive so if they do come in, you're safe. If you accidently attack them, chances are you're still praying, and even if you're not, we have gravestones now. 5 minutes to get from lumby to dusty well? Easy. I really regret selling my Dharoks at times :(
-
People have taken tests and have found a dragon scim gives slightly better exp/hr then long, but if you can't use a scim and you would become broke if you bought a whip, d longs work great.

Useless.. It's because nearly all the posts in those forums are ~5 words, therefore making postcount reflect a tad quality instead of just plain quantity.

As long as it's level 3, it makes absolutely no difference.

Prices on GE don't have to be correct, I have countless items I'd love to sell on GE yet the prices on GE do not allow me to sell/buy what I want. Concerning some of those items: Ahrim staff is possibly the most useless staff in RuneScape considering the effort required for it. It's auto-casts are standard, alright mage bonus and no unlimited runes. Not a good staff, accordingly no one wants them, thus they have ALWAYS been dirt cheap considering they're barrow weapons. I remember alching mine because I couldn't sell mine of for 80K and that was several months ago, when barrows was a lot more profitable. As for rune boots, they're going down because they are no longer the best item and now that drag boots have been out for awhile there are abundant drag boots in the market, ruling out the reasoning of buying rune boots for 200k when you have dragon boots at 400k which are far better, and cooler :wink:

He is right.. Go with 100% maples and 50% coal : Just a thought, but wouldn't flax be better then coal now that autoers are out? Or hasn't flax risen (Has coal?)? I theory there is a cap, but it's so high you don't have to worry about hitting it. The cap would be 12.4Bil (I belive, around that anyway) aka same ammount an integer can hold when you're programming. I haven't been programming very long so I don't know if it's also called an integer in java programming aswell but I'm quite sure it applies to RS. So yeah, I don't think you'll be getting 12Bil of anything there any time soon :P I might have misunderstood what you meant here, but you DO get nests which do have eggs in Misc. kingdom. [/hide] Its 2.4b right? Also, Coal is the new flax : It may be, I think I've got them all mixed up in my head :-# Now that I think of it I think a integer is like 32k and a long is the one that's in the billions. I'm too lazy to go through all the tutorials to check :P Interesting about the flax though, I would have expected a big increase in flax prices due to autoers being killed. I guess coal's better.

I wouldn't recommend it, subbing a RoL can cost you millions and ranger boots provide like +1 or 2 over snakeskin/frog leather boots, guarantee you would never notice that difference if you tried.
-
I hear this one works great: Hunt Aviansies, smith your bars to bolts, sell bolts, buy bars from money made repeat. You lose money doing it, but seeing as you never really had to spend money, it's more of a "break even" method. If you want profits and don't care about exp/hr, try cannon balls. If you want to buy your levels, try gold smelting with gold gaunts or the addy bar method, except buying the bars in the first place to save time.
-
A different view is the more fun you have the longer your boredom will let you stay down there. If you're having fun with the high hits of addy bolts you might stay there for 1k+ Aviansies without banking, while you'd get bored with low hits. Keep in mind the bone bow got nerfed, what's cost save you when you get a lack of efficiency from it? Consider a MSB also, though you will need zammy vambs if you sub out the zam legs for torag legs.
-
Yes, they do stop, but you have to stay in a specific area which is annoying if you want to have the gorak help you kill aviansies. Personally I do the following differently with my setup: Replace hide legs with torag legs. Replace shield with zammy book (Only if you're defence is good enough, at 86 defence I need 1 peach per 1-4 aviansies using that). Replace RoW with RoL or Archer ring. Also, I'd only use addy bolts if you can smith them. Use them if you enjoy the high hits though.

~~~How will/has the 138 CB cap affect/ed the game?~~~ =~)
Lets_3ekout replied to n_odie's topic in General Discussion
Here's a list of things that will no longer be agressive at 138 comb coming from 126. I tried not to include things that are already agressive or are always agressive, only ones I'm not sure about is the PC monsters really. 68 - Catablepon 68 - Skeleton (SoS) 68 - Thrower troll 68 - Undead one (No more taking hits when leaving shilo, good for rc?) 67 - Defiler (I don't know if PC mosnters stop agressivness, probably not) 67 - Thrower troll 66 - Pernicious Parrot (Makes getting through karamja maz a tad easier) 66 - Torcher (Same deal as defiler) 65 - Splatter (Same deal as defiler) 64 - Catablepon (Makes Sos easier to go through) 64 - Jungle wolf (Makes legends forest area south of shilo safer) 64 - Poison spider (makes falling of agility obsticles in the dungeon near Yanille less dangerous) 64 - Wolf 64 - Crocodile (This might be a problem for melee slayers, the won't be agressive and won't come out of the river out for you) 63 - Ogre 63 - Shadow hound (This is abig one in my opinion, DT dungeon is going to be insane exp when killing all the skeletons without interruption.) 63 - Skeleton (Tarn's lair) 63- Wild dog (Wow this one is huge, especially for red dragons :D) -
Daggonath/Caged ogres/Kalphite soldiers. Caged ogres if you want to range with a MSB/xbow at the same time.
I hate it when people don't tell me of new better methods of training (Like the crafting one :wink: ) that get released, so I'm not about to do the same. Last I checked, normal kebbit bolts were abundant in GE so I don't see why it matters in any case.
Not true, bone cross bow was whip speed speed, hunter is MSB speed and metal xbows are metal xbows speed (haven't check what melee weapon it's similar to :P ) Hunter --> Bone ---> Metal Is how it used to be. Bone cross bows made range levels way too cheap anyway, they deserved a nerf, 99 range was slowly becoming less impressive. If someone wanted speed and a one handed bow hunter bow was always the better choice anyway, especially after GE. It was a nerf that did the skill good overall. i think you mean bone>hunter>metal. i personally never used it all that much i couldn't even tell their was an actual difference in speed when i changed it after it was suggested by muggi, then i saw it on the weapon speed page and i recall it being higher the metal crossbows and i then knew for sure it was changed. either way, it was faster then metal crossbows. i thought it was same as hunter, i dunno i still don't know. point is, its slower just wanted to answer it straight forward because this thread got really off topic. Actually, the hunter bow is actually better then what the bone is/was. It's always been fast and I found it quite noticeable. Additionally, the long bolts hit 15's for me, where bone bolts would be hitting 17's or so, I find the speed increase better and am quite sure hunter xbows are better experience then bone. I don't know about normal bolts, but I'm having heaven ranging Aviansies in GWD with long bolts :) But I have to agree that at times I have trouble noticing the speed difference of the old and new bone crossbow as well, I wasn't it's most avid user, I've always enjoyed MSB the most prior to hunter. But from what I've seen it's exp have dropped heavily. I think it's fair to say as far as exp/hr goes this is possible now: Hunter > Rune (with mith+) > Bone. I'd be interested to see where a MSB would fit in there.
how do you know if summoning requires money? sorry if its already in the diaries. I have a feeling it will, it will be like construction, buying life runes, buying eggs, (Reply to both) If you read the Development diary you will see Jagex directly says that summoning will cost you and it won't be cheap, but it won't be expensive either. For this reason, chances are 99 summoning won't cost anywhere near Phat price, so even if you decide to buy summoning remember you probably will have more to spend on. I don't recommend buying rares, they're too unpredictable now. I'd buy myself a GS or prayer levels if I had the cash, but that's just me, do whatever you enjoy with your money.
JK's F2P Combat mastery N training guide(From lvl 3 to 126)
Lets_3ekout replied to Wehrmacht's topic in General Guides
You say you train at the last location to 126 combat, yet you forget for 126 combat you must have extremely high prayer (I forget exact ammount, 98?). Last I checked, spiders don't drop bones and even if they did, normal bones to 98 prayer? Ouch. You could provide some alternatives, I'm sure SoS isn't the only training area in F2P. Not bad guide, just needs some refining and corrections. -
Melle armour has melle defence. Range armour has range defence. Magic armour has magic defence. Sometimes it doesn't have to make sense if it infringes on game play. How fun the game is more important than how realistic it is.
