  1. I imagine the amulet of ranging. Oh... well that would be a disappointment. What are the ammy's stats?
  2. If you don't want to do a lot of clicking, then yeah, bandits works well.. Using guthans allows you to camp forever (no banking or food required). But do NOT train with the guthans spear.. use whip for training, and once your hp goes down, pull it back up with the guthans set. That's about 60k xp an hour for someone your lvl.
  3. Waste of time. I would love to lvl herblore, as I think it's a very cool skill (currently at only 51, and haven't trained it in years), but the fact of the matter is that it's economically inefficient. You can focus on one of your other better money making skills; make money that way; and buy the pots... Instead of buying the herbs and secondaries yourself (which costs more than just buying the pots off the g/e... and collecting them yourself is even a bigger burden: huge opportunity cost from an economical view) and making the pots yourself. Forget about herblore. It's a waste of time. You have 22M, so affording pots should not even be an issue. ALWAYS train with pots (super att, str, and def optional... combat potions [boost att and str] are weaker but good too) If your sole goal is to max out your stats, then get the best armor/weapons, and find a good place to train. Whip Amulet of fury (normally I'd say just glory, as it really doesn't make much economical sense to buy furies, but since you'll be leaving members in a month you can sell it back anyways so you're not losing anything really) Dragon boots Rune defender (you have to go to the champion's guild and play the minigames there for it; usually takes a few hours) etc. There's lots of different places to train.. the best place - armoured zombies, requires a quest, which has too many prereqs, so you should just forget about it (would take way too long to do all the quests, gain the skills lvls in e.g. hunting etc). Stay away from quests, minus the one or two obligatory ones that are pretty quick and might give you good rewards.
  4. + + + Sometimes common sense (and thus the security over other unsuspecting RS players) should take precedence over rules.
  5. You're not telling us how you pronounce it.. You're just telling us how you separate the words into syllables. That's why we use real words like "arm", "a", and "dill" to replace the sounds of the syllables. Ugh im not very good at english but it sounds like you guys are saying the last part with an "i" sound when i say it with a "y" sound. Right. Arm-a-dill. The "y" in dyll is pronounced like an "i" - thus the "dill". It's not pronounced "deal" or "dial". It's "dill".
  6. The strength of broad bolts are twice as high as rune arrows (+49 compared to +100 for broad bolts). Crossbows have a higher accuracy bonus as far as I know. So you'll hit fewer 0s and hit higher with the crossbow. However, the mage shortbow is faster. There are your pros and cons. I believe training with crossbows is faster, but I can't tell you for sure.

  8. arm-a-dill Nothing to it. Just the way it's spelled.
  9. I was in the same situation as you not too long ago. Looking at your registration date on tip.it, I'll assume you were gone for quite a few years like myself. Yes, whip is still the best all around weapon... they go for about 2M each now (quite a deal if you compare it to years ago). However, godswords, which all cost 20-60M (there's 4 of them) are very popular... they're very strong and you can pretty much 2-hit someone with them. For range - darkbows are the new pk weapon. They hit twice on every shot, but are very slow. Rune crossbows have replaced magic shortbows as the best training weapons (I personally hate crossbows, but they're one handed, and they have high range accuracy values) Magic - I'm assuming you know about Magicks.. well there's another spellbook that was introduced - Lunar Magics. The 4 most recent skills, all introduced within the last 5 years are (I'm sure you must know or tried a few of them): Slayer, farming, and then Hunter/Construction/Summoning (don't know the order of the introduction of those). Summoning is a combat skill, and affects your combat level. It has many uses.. not just combat. A very useful skill in my opinion. Hmmm.. what else.. Oh right. The old wild system is gone. There are now pvp worlds, in which you can attack anyone anywhere (as long as they're within your combat range), and bounty hunter worlds, which are the most similar to the old wildy system (only the wild + edgeville are open in those worlds). Both rely on building up your earnings potential to get good drops. The drops are now random in pking. You don't get someone's drops if you kill them.. this was changed to combat real world trading. Likewise, there is a trade limit now so you can't give away stuff. The grand exchange - north of the west varrock bank, is a place where you can buy and sell items instantly (within seconds usually). Makes the economy run very smoothly... before you'd spend quite a lot of time looking for buyers and sellers.. now it's almost instant. Amazing update - I love it. A bunch of new quests as well. I almost had almost the quests done when I quit.. now I don't think I even have half (maybe 1/3) done. Umm that's all I can think of for right now.. hope it helped.
  10. Okay, just went and pretty happy: 162 Bloodveld = 19,440 xp. Thanks.
  11. Lapock? I'm not worried about being able to finish any of the tasks. My concerns are: 1) Getting enough monsters to kill per task 2) Getting efficient monsters - if they're too hard/slower to kill, you might actually end up getting slower xp, even if one task alone will give you.. say 16k slay xp (is that even possible?) Taking that into account, would Duradel still be a good idea? At the moment, with Chaeldar, I usually get 6-10k slay xp per task.. On average, what's the count for Duradel?
  12. Currently, I use Chaeldar.. would it be a good idea to switch to Summona or the Shilo Village one? 91 att, 90 str, 87 def, 90 hp. I prefer to melee, but if I have to, I can range - lvl 80. Do the other two give more monsters to kill per task (i.e. more xp/task)? That's my goal - to maximize xp/task. I'm hesitant to go to the Shilo Village one, cause I do not want to get anything to have to range or use expensive pray pots for (e.g. metal dragons)... I really want to stick to melee. From what I can see for Chaeldar's and Summona's lists on the tipit Slayer guide, they give similar monsters...
  13. What/who is Ankous? It's not in the bestiary...
  14. It's not 1/150. I've gotten quite a few of Cave Horror tasks and I haven't seen a black mask yet. If it is 1/150 and I am wrong, you could get 1 black mask every ~40 minutes. A drop rate of 1/150 means that for every cave horror you kill, there's a 1/150 (0.6%) chance of getting a black mask. The events are independent of each other. Regardless if you killed one or fifty, or a thousands, every time you kill one, the chances are the same. So you could theoretically kill a million cave horrors, and just be that unlucky to never get a black mask drop. Or you could get it on your first drop. It does NOT mean that you should get a black mask drop every 150 kills.
  15. Ah okay that's what it was.. I just almost made the dumbest mistake ever.. I get into the dust devils area (with my guthans and whip), and right before I make a click on one of the dusties, I realize.. wait a sec, dont these guys require a face mask?? And I had no ring of life lol. Phew. What's an "enhanced excalibur"?
  16. Is it possible? I swear I've seen people camping at dust devils with guthans before... or maybe I'm just confused.. I mean, what happens if you were to take off your slayer helm/face mask for a few seconds to get back your hp? Like wouldn't they hit you rapidly at you'd die in a manner of seconds? Or maybe (this was in the chaos tunnels), people would just portal over to the zammy monks and use the guthans there to get their hp back up?
  17. http://users.telenet.be/glodenox/Charms ... ttern.html Try that then. If I used it correctly (says you have enough for lvl 63), I would assume that you do have enough for 57. Even without it, my best guess is that those charms are more than enough for lvl 57. Remember, make the highest pouch you can, and do not use your golds until lvl 52.
  18. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=summoning_planner.htm Save the golds for lvl 52 - spirit terrorbirds. Do NOT use them until then if you want to maximize your xp.
  19. At lvl 43, you should be saving or starting to save your gold charms for spirit terrorbird @ lvl 52. Use green and red until then. Don't camp for green charms though... They are the least efficient of all charms (way too expensive for the xp they give). I literally cringe everytime I get one.
  20. Green drags... Like the above post, it'll only take you a couple of hours.. 3 at the most. Do an hour each time and on the third day you'll be good to buy your armor. Good luck!
  21. Cash is not an investment. Holding GP is not smart as it actually devalues (in the real world, holding it in a bank ensures interest payments to make up for inflation... Jagex hasn't addressed that issue yet on RS). If you have 500M now, and still have that 500M in a year; it won't be worth 500M in today's terms due to inflation and other market changes. In other words, that 500M will be worth less (you'll be able to buy less with it) If you are leaving the game for a long period of time, ALWAYS invest in rares... They are THE safest investment. Supply is always dropping for them; demand is rising (as more and more players make more money), and the price rises in the long term.
  22. learn to read the ops post before responding, he said he is getting the money for his armour... Thanks Captain Obvious. I believe I did read his post, but strongly encouraged him to do green drags. Fastest method with his stats. I'm sure he has enough money for a simple rune set. And I gave him some good advice; how did you help with your spam post? ;)
  23. The only items that are sure to rise are discontinued items. Phats, santas, halloween masks, etc. If you are going to invest that 500M, do it only in those items.
  24. You WILL be banned. Their systems will pick it up; no doubt about it... the continuous clicking within regular intervals will give you away. They will assume it's a macro (which it is, hardware or software; it doesn't matter). Plus it's afk'ing. Don't take the risk.
