Grats Exer! I missed it.. something came up last minute so couldn't go.

People are being such whiners and dummies over this HP update. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Everything is just multiplied by ten -- your hp, your damage, the healing rates of food, etc. I repeat -- NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Quit whining... it was necessary to make the game more interesting for those who just start playing the game, and for possible future Constitution updates -- e.g. potions or magic spells that reduce max constitution level. Very good update!

I know there's a really good charms calculator floating around (where you can input the number of charms you have and it tells you which pouches to make). I've lost it... can anyone link me to it please? Thanks.

Okay, I'm no expert on the clan world, seeing as I've only got into the fold of things only recently, after a long 5 year break... but seriously, how can you guys claim that teams are not having an impact on clans? People are turning to teams for PKing and warring, and leaving their clans in the dust. Clans would be a lot more active if these teams didn't exist... I mean, I've seen people skip out on clan events because of team events before. Some of these teams are really active, and take away from the time that their members can put into their own clans.. so call me crazy for laying the blame on them if the clan world is indeed dying. It's a shame that multiclanning is the norm in the RS clan world nowadays. Clans back in the day would have never allowed it. And to those of you who want to argue that these PvPing/warring teams are not actually clans, save your breath, because to me, on the inside and out, they are clans and nothing else - no matter their name. I've said it before - they really exist as a loophole to be able to multiclan.

We were there to crash your war? That's news to me. We didn't attack DV -- DV attacked us. And was DV even warring? I didn't see any other clan there except Ascension. The trip was fun at first but got a bit boring when we got to the huge brawl at mossies; had to go and it seems like no clans wanted to move up north, so didn't miss much I would think.

Nice fight LF! We were outpulled and outleveled so we didn't have much of a shot.. we did have some good KOs though, and if I recall correctly, our last KO was with around 15 people left.. which was pretty good.

The What Clan Would You Rather Join Thread
Deltaer replied to ipwnage4lyfe's topic in Clan Discussions
Silly question. :P Corruption or Divine Forces? -
I missed it too. Congrats Ascension.

Nice fight Clan Europe. It was clear that we were massively out lvled... we were missing out on our high lvls; the time definitely played a factor - early afternoon, but a good fight nonetheless.

If the clan world is dying as you claim, the existence of these psuedo-clans - i.e. teams, is a big reason for it. They suck the life and activity out of clans. So RIP Team Kenya, and ty for leaving.

+ + + + + Teams should be banned. From what I can see, some of these pking/warring teams are more active than the clans themselves. And I don't see any difference between clans and teams... it's multiclanning to me, and I don't understand when and why they came about.. like you said, years ago, you'd be kicked and banned on sight if you were in another clan. The older clan era atmosphere would never have allowed for them. So much for clan loyalty these days. And just out of curiosity, for you TPR, SE, whoever team members, how active are your teams? How often do you guys PK (or do whatever you do).

Thanks for all the replies. Is The Alliance still around? Based on the fact that BK and Gladz are hunting each other, I would guess not..? No doubt that (ex?)-Alliance clans have the strongest community.. I used to be in THE, and that was clearly obvious - a very mature, tight-knit and friendly clan... and that goes for Gladz and BK as well (TMRD = dead? And who was the other clan who was part of TA? Completely forgot)

Okay after being away from the clan world for almost 5 years, I came back, and joined a new clan (Downfall  ) about two weeks ago. Needless to say, I have a lot of catching up to do. I feel like a total noob  The dynamics of the clanning world have obviously become a lot more complex and I'm having issues understanding some stuff... Back in 2003/04/05, it was pretty simple; there weren't that many [well-known] clans, and those in the top 10 had requirements anywhere from as low as lvl 100 to 115 plus combat. It looks like that has changed (which is really not a surprise). All wars, whether full out clan wars, or mini PK run-in wars, took place at greaters. Warring/PKing tactics were really basic compared to what clans and PKers are doing nowadays. So here's a few questions I have: 1) I've been told that despite the existence of a clan wars arena now, that some clans still have wars at greaters in PvP worlds. Why are some clans non-PvP CWA warring and others sticking to the "traditional" PvP greaters warring method? 2) How representative are the TWR rankings of the top clans? They don't seem to match the Top 10/20/30 lists I've seen. How much acceptance do these rankings receive as accurate measures of clans' strength? 3) What's the difference between "teams" and "clans"? To me, it seems like they are the same thing... it seems like these "teams" exist as a loophole to be able to belong to other "clans" without breaking the common one-clan-only rule. What's the deal with them? 4) I can see clans like 'The', RSD, Gladz, BK, TRWF, Corruption, Exer (I think I saw them somewhere), EoS, Dragonwood, Mori etc., are still around. Not really a question, but congrats to them for sticking around so long. 5) Just outta curiosity (mostly out of interest in clan politics) who are the strongest clans these days? No abbreviations please.

lvl 116 f2p/123 p2p looking for a PKing clan
Deltaer posted a topic in Looking for a clan/group/team
Hi, I'm looking for a MATURE pking/warring clan... I prefer a clan that's more f2p pking oriented, but okay with p2p pking clans as well. It's been years since I've been involved in the clan world (last clan I was in was in 2005), and looking to get back into it finally. 105+ f2p cb clans only please. Thanks. -
Soul wars. You need approximately 400 zeal. 9 zeal an hour if you get into and win every game, which requires that you join a sw cc.
-
With no cannon, average is 10-15k (upper end if lucky) per hour.. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar... 20k slayer xp per hour requires 60k normal combat xp (-hp xp), and that's rare for most monsters in the game save a few.
-
Wow, what a surprise. I haven't been involved in RS clan world for about 5 years now, and still haven't gotten back into it so I have no idea who any of these new clans are - SE, VR, whoever; but there's no doubt that DI was definitely the most influential and most known clan in the RS world. Even though I quit RS for years, every year or so I'd pop in, and I was amazed to see that DI was still alive (outlasting other high esteemed clans) and at the top (as always). Good job and RIP DI.

The SS is not more accurate than the whip. They have the same max stats (+82 Slash and +82 Strength). The drawback to it is that its a one-handed sword, but it has a crush option (which can be useful for training on NPCs like waterfiends). But yeah; whip for attack/defence, and SS for strength.

Just got dragon pick drop, Should I keep or sell?
Deltaer replied to bewareitsandrew's topic in Help and Advice
Do NOT make junk to sell it... you could make more money doing other things. HUGE opportunity cost and in the end you are losing out. Sell it though... Right now demand is consistent, and supply is increasing. The price WILL drop. Buy it back then if you wish to use it in the future. -
Why do you guys force yourselves to play? That itself is a sign of addiction, and for sure you SHOULD quit. If you don't feel like playing, then don't. Runescape is supposed to be fun, and not a chore. If you feel like it is, and you're not getting any enjoyment out of it, log off right away.

Wow a level 138! Discusion on what impresed you
Deltaer replied to ford_landau's topic in General Discussion
lvls don't impress me anymore. Really, only two things do: 1) Longevity - how long you've been playing the game for... If you've been playing since RSC, you're a star in my book, no matter your lvl 2) Spelling, grammar and most importantly MATURITY Big "turn offs" (no respect from me) 1) High lvls (let's say.. lvl 120+ although that may not be considered "high" anymore) who have only been playing the game for a couple of years. 2) Easy skill capes on lower lvled players. I don't understand the obsession with having a skill cape... to brag or something? Either way, I find it completely lame. "Get a life" is what I think. :P -
I'd normally say no junk as well. HUGE opportunity cost, but if raising your fletching is some kind of goal in the near future, then just make the maple longs (u), and use them as junk. If you have no desire to raise fletching, then making junk is more of a burden to you, and in the end you will be losing out.. so don't do it.

Strength is definitely playing a part; no doubt about it. If you want higher hits on average, which means higher xp, then you're going to need a higher strength lvl. It's really that simple.
