It was shocking because usually they just imply that something has happened - you see the lead up then it cuts away. But here it just shows everything. Did you read my post at all? Have you even SEEN the film? If you have then you will realise that is NOT the gory bit at all. The bit with the asian girl whom he goes back to rescue is.

The most horrific film I've ever seen. Let's try to avoid going into any detail about any of the nasty bits so as to not spoil it for those who haven't seen it and not offend the powers that be. I am surprised that this film was not banned, yet it managed to get only an R rating in america - not NC17 (I'm not saying it SHOULD be banned, I think people should be allowed to watch what they want so long as it doesn't hurt others). It reminded me a lot of The Wicker Man, in the sense that everyone was 'in on it' except the protagonists. This makes it different from most horror films because usually they have incredibly stupid protagonists. It also reminded me of exploitation film such as Cannibal Holocaust and the Ilsa films due to the levels of gore, but this actually had a compelling story too. I sat through the gore because I needed to know how it ended. I'm not gonna watch this film again. And I seriously suggest you don't watch it if you've not over 18, usually 18 ratings are a bit conservative but I think this one is well deserved.

I'm afraid to say that just about any PCI graphics card just won't be able to cut it... They were only introduced in the 5 series to cater for people who couldn't upgrade to AGP, not as a serious contender.

I would be very surprised if the game would run on that machine at all. Remember that the PCI versions of cards will work slower than the AGP equivalents due to the PCI bandwidth. Even if the game will work, it won't be worth playing on such a machine.

It depends what you call commercial, my university has a 10Gbit connection and they didn't make it themselves (bought from NTL).

If it was the BIOS then surely it would affect the livecd too? Have you tried reinstalling windows to see if it is a problem with that specific install?

Generally speaking, handguns are only good for target shooting due to lack of power and reduced accuracy. If one wanted to hunt then a rifle or shotgun would be necessary.

Or maybe your friends would be good enough to do it just to help you out? You don't have to pay for something to get into the pyramid scheme for all of them. You don't have to con them. You could just offer them a fiver to sign up to the spam sites, ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã25 for whatever it is you're getting 'free' isn't that bad. That said I don't agree with that sort of site and think they shouldn't be allowed.

The majority of legit handguns were used for sport, target shooting in particular. Football is also a sport. A sport I find pointless but it exists nonetheless and there is huge amounts of violence associated with it, on a much larger scale than shootings. As for the only reason for having one being to kill someone - that's complete tripe. The vast majority of legit rifles and shotguns in the UK now are used for hunting game or clay pigeon shooting. That's because you can't have looked very hard, the use is for sport. A gun will (except in a tiny TINY fraction of times) only kill you if there's someone on the other end of it who wants you dead. That malice must be there (again with the tiny exception of accidents compared to malicious deaths), and if it isn't a gun they have to kill you with then they'll use a knife. Or there's folks like the guy who tried to play russian roulette with a magazine loaded pistol - but that's just natural selection. Drugs can kill you accidentally through overdosing, them being cut with something you didn't expect or something that's toxic, or a multitude of other ways. Drugs alter your judgement and some could make you think you can fly so you jump out a window. They can kill you without someone TRYING to make you die. I'm not saying we should be like America, but if you can prove you have a good reason for owning ONE gun and follow all the required security measures then I think you should be able to have one. If a criminal wants a gun he's gonna get one anyway, why stop the legitimate users. As for the Dunblane guy being a 'legitimate' gun owner, with the amount of premeditation it took for him to get to and go into the school he must have been pretty determined to do it - I don't think you can really say he wouldn't have done it had he not been able to get a gun legally.

What has an assembly hall got to do with anything? Hundreds if not thousands of children are killed each year -without the perpetrators even WANTING to do it- by cars, how is the place it happens relevant? They still die regardless of where. My point is not that banning cars would be a good idea, but that they are both bad ideas.

In that case why not ban all cars? They cause a lot more deaths than handguns. Just because it can help reduce deaths doesn't mean there aren't legitimate uses too, and it is the legitimate users that pay - not the criminals.

It was a terrible thing to happen, possibly the worst crime to happen during my life. However, banning the use of handguns just takes them out of the hands of legitimate users - criminals will still get hold of them just as easily, it's not as though they applied for firearms licenses in the first place.
