I have always been a big fan of baseball player Shea Hillendbrand, not just for what he did on the field (with great plays at 3rd for my Bo Sox!), but what he did off the field. He helped the community out incredibly here in Boston. I am also a big fan of the multi-talented Bronson Arroyo. He sings incredibly and is a great pitcher. I'm glad to see him have such a great year. I agree with my cousin that Red Sox fans are the best at loving a player 1 day and hating him the next (Johnny Damon, Nomar Garciaparra, Pedro Martinez ftw) but I think it's great to see Bronson have such a great year this year simply because what he's done for the Boston Red Sox over the years. He threw a perfect game in Pawtucket (AAA), he got "karate chopped" by A-rod in game 6 of the ALCS 2004. He threw at a-rod sparking the big fight (between V-tek (Jason Varitek) and A-rod on July 24th, 2004, which actually turned the season around for the Sox. But my favorite non-sports character is my brother. He's a firefighter.
