Not really. Nub has money to buy rune = happy. You have RC exp = happy.
-
Yep. As isolated individuals, we are weak, but as a united community, we are very powerful. Unity is the key to get Jagex to listen to us.
-
I really hope this is sarcasm, because if it's not.. creepy...
-
I would help you bump it. But I'm Rsof banned, unsurprisingly. I was stupid enough to voice my critizism of Jagex there, and got banned by a zealous Jagex-lover forum mod. :|

What's the best magic spellbook to use to train slayer?
-
I hope it's the case, that would really help herblore out.

Wow, that's a good idea. Suggest it on Jagex forums O.o I got a few ideas you could use. How about this: When there is a significant drop picked up by a team member from a monster, example: dragon chain, all the team members that were nearby when the item was picked up will be teleported to a special spot where they can calmly split the loot without the fear of getting killed by a monster respawn. This would not work if a person from the team drops something from their own inventory then picks it back up. The item must come from a monster. The loot is then split this way: The item is sent to the GE to be sold. Together, the team members debate of the selling price until they settle, the majority wins. If one of the players logs out during the debate of the price, he will still get his fair share, however he will not be able to be part of the price decision, obviously. If somehow, all players log out of the special spot before making a decision, then these players will reappear in the special spot until one of them decides on a price. When that's done, the players get teleported back to the spot where they were before. Then, when the item sells, the money will be split evenly between the team members. If the GE price for the item fluctuates and the item is now price either below or above the price floors, the system will automatically reajust the price to the closest valid selling value, this without losing the waiting spot of the item.

Because you lose money that way. The materials for the potions are priced higher than the final product, because they give exp, and are a general hassle to get.

My nearly 100% correct theory. WE set summon prices =D

Well Rahila, you had win. I was thinking before at how you had pwned all the nubs with this. Don't bump this thread though, it makes it look like you want to gain more attention. And believe me, that's counter-productive to your early success. If you have future predictions, I think it's better you post them on a new thread, this one is already packed. -
The people who enjoy gathering skills like fishing and woodcutting are going to be pleased - the ressources they gather will finally be recognized to their true value. However, some weird things could happen depending on how Jagex uses that price control of theirs.
-
Nope, I don't want a chip. That would be like screaming: "Okey dokey, now control me masters! WEEEEEE!". Because the moment you get a chip, know what happens? You become dependant on the trustworthiness of the individuals that put that chip inside you. It doesn't matter what "benefits" it has, if it robs you of your independence, it's not good enough.

Why doesn't Jagex just sell money themselves?
highlanders replied to ice_ring's topic in General Discussion
Runescape should be fair to everyone, outside of the 5 dollars a month for membership. People should not have advantage over other players because of irl wealth. Membership is an advantage over f2p, but it needs to exist to make the game run, and 5 dollars is affordable so it is not very selective. Take teh example of a game like Flyff. They got a cash shop, but the game is perfectly in sync with it. When you are level 75+, the monsters drop a lot of valuable things, and it is no longer a good deal to buy cash shop items directly, so instead they buy it with game gp off another player. So there is a cash shop, it's unfair: but atleast after level 75, it is no longer unfair since you get even better money than by using the cash shop, and free - directly from monsters. This is why people on Flyff are pretty happy. For people who don't want to use the cash shop, they don't have to worry because they know after level 75, they're going to be alright. But Runescape is not made like Flyff, it's not fit for a cash shop. A cash shop would be a disaster in so many aspects. -
Dec 10 Update - Rally under a banner and join the fight!

I like that. -
I don't really care if some people get scammed of 1.5k. If they're so sad about it, I don't mind giving them 1.5k from my own money lol

Real World Trading gone... A new threat on the horizon?
highlanders replied to The Observer's topic in General Discussion
Account selling: The gold farmers can raise new accounts with maybe ~70 in every skill. Unlike 70-99, it's a lot easier to raise, and still sells for a good amount of money. There is around 1-2M on the account, from the skilling. Then the gold farmer just sells it to some idiot ready to pay for it. Then, what happens? Not much, just another lvl 60 in Runescape. Chances are the person who bought the account will quit because all the achievement aspect of the game is gone. Chances the person is new to the game, since they don't got a main account yet. The person might not like teh game after all, and just quit. Powerleveling: Used for 80-99 a lot I suppose. This is more annoying, because the boastful idiots ready to pay for a 99 will start bragging and being a general annoyance about their levels. But it's still not that bad. -
Well snake, it isn't so simple. A lot of people have grown attached to the game. They don't want to quit - instead they want to fight to get their old Runescape back. The only thing people can do to voice their opinion is to put rants or suggestions on the Runescape boards, or make riots, and protestations. You can ask them to quit as much as you want. They don't care what you want.

EEP! :o Don't trust what Jagex says. This whole "We love you" thing is typical in most companies. They say they love you because you like hearing it, but in the back of their mind profit is the only objective.

Wow, RuneScape players are sure gullible.

Push for more combatters/ Cover Up / Idioticy of F2P RS ^^^
highlanders replied to RayOxide's topic in Rants
It's not because the updates they did were combat-related this time that they don't like skillers. There's already a lot of things skillers can do. Don't worry, in the future they'll probably make a skilling update for F2p too. -
Would you miss the internet if it ceased to exist?
highlanders replied to Futurama's topic in Off-Topic
I thought the question was about if we'd miss internet if it was gone? Or, was it about internet being evil and stealing music? -
WoOT!! WOOT!!!

I have ~4 months left to my membership, so I will stay and see what happens before deciding what to do. Runescape has still plenty of interesting things to do, it's just a lot less exciting when you're an old player, and have done it all already.
-
I don't really have much to say about this. Just live your life the way you want to. But don't bug other people about their lives either - saying that because they play Runescape they have no life, and the likes. Different people have different perspectives on things. There's no point in trying to judge the life of other people, just to try to understand their point of view instead. Edit: By example, let's take a 14 years old kid with depression that comes back at school everyday to play Runescape, and he has a complete different opinion than you do about Rs. Well, you can't get in his brain with all his beliefs, memories, thoughts to understand his complete point of view, but atleast you can try to understand. By example, you and the 14 year old kid get into a debate, and none of you two wants to try to understand the perspective of the other person. The debate is going to last forever, and nothing will be accomplished. But if you both try to understand the point of view of the other person, then communication is easier, and some things can actually be done.
