It seems like every new person I meet always has there private off. I try to add new people, but eh private off. I mean is it really a hassle to let people see where you are or let them talk? May be just my opinion but meh.

I keep mine set to on whenever I'm not runecrafting. It's set to friends during runecrafting because some rc pkers will actually follow you from world to world if you leave it on.

I keep mine on unless I'm doing risky things such as Dagannoth Kings and Abyss Runecrafting.

Mines off or on friends only b/c A) I get about 500 pms if it's just turned on ON and B) When im power training I don't want to be bothered.

When you get into the upper levels you have too. If you leave it on you get 10 pms like every 30 seconds.

People annoy me with stupid pms if I leave it on. So I always keep it on friends and only add people I like or people I sell/buy stuff to/from.

I keep my private on On. Nobody message me so, I don't mind. People are free to add me for a chat :P...

i leave it on friends because a lot of times people bug me too much lol

When I ever turned Private chat on (from friends), I got spammed like hell. It's just annoying having random people you don't want to talk to continually pm you when you don't want to waste your time answering stupid questions.

i have the same problem, especially if you just ventured back from f2p.

i leave mine on firends a lot cause i hate being bugged :) tb, only the people on my firends list need to talk to me, if i need to talk to someone else, ill add them

Depends on my lag issues. Tonight was horrible for lag. :evil:

 

I put mine on open chat sometime to say " Hello " to everyone

 

that I can not add cause of list being full. Other times I just want

 

to be alone and keep it off.

I always leave mine on but it's rare that anyone sends me a message. Most of the people on my friends list don't even play anymore.

I always leave mine on. I normally only chat to a few people at once so I don't mind people adding me for a chat. :)

Usually i would leave it on. Since I'm f2p on, it has to be kept at friends so that I don't get random pms usually from beggars or people talking in a language i don't know.

When I turn my private chat on, I get messages from people I don't know.

I guess I leave it to friends, because too many people add me to their lists after I interact with them. (I help people A LOT)
