If a Dragonstone Bracelet gives decent stats, wouldn't an Onyx Bracelet have better stats; maybe comparable to Rune/Dragon/Barrows gloves?

Correct, if it heals one point every 15 seconds, you have a better chance to survive.

 

 

 

 

 

SCENARIO!

 

 

 

You just got poisoned and you are running to a bank. You get down to six HP and the poison is about to hit a six on you. You put on your Onyx Bracelet.........

 

 

 

If you get a point every 15 seconds, you would restore one HP before the poison hits.

 

 

 

If you get two points every 30 seconds, the poison would hit before you have time to heal.

 

 

 

So they are basically the same, but in those 1/1,000,000 chances, one point every 15 seconds in superior. :P

The numbers they said include rapid heal. Normal healing is 1 per minute. So 2x is 1 every 30, then 2x more is 1 every 15 secs.

Especially the ruby ones! Zogre minigame = half keys! And bracelet means more inventory space!

 

Gosh Barihawk, I'm glad SOMEBODY gets the real purpose for the ruby bracelet/inoculation. It's for THIEVING zogre COFFINS folks - get loot and high level BONES ftw!!

There is one very good thing about the dragonstone one's. Free tele to Falador and Varrock! No more house tele tabs waisting on Lunar and ancients! :D

Now, if the Bracelet of Clay had 140 charges and behaved like the Ring of Forging, then it would be a worthwhile update. So, 50 sapphires consumed for 1400 soft clay... I'd rather use a bucket and take the extra minute to make soft clay.

 

 

 

The "anti-disease bracelet" sounds useful except that we don't know the amount of disease damage we can take before the bracelet disintegrates. 40 points like the Ring of Recoil? Jagex needs to provide us with some concrete numbers.

 

 

 

Actually, if all enchanted jewellery behaved like the Ring of Forging, then we'd be saving a decent amount of bank slots. :-k

From these stats it's totally no match for barrows gloves in any way, however it could be a good replacement for mystic gloves. Still, barrows gloves owns it.. totally.

 

 

 

I might buy a loop half and get myself a dragonstone and make one of these. It can come in quite handy for people too lazy, or cant be bothered, or cant complete Recipe For Disaster. I, for one, dont enjoy quests and cant be [bleeped] to finish it at this time. A dragonstone bracelet could make nice alternative

50 Saphires isnt that much. They're probably the most common gem, and most people have over 100 of them.

Not that this concerns me that much since I'm currently taking a break from RS... (likely to be back during summer) ... but this is a significant enough update to comment on.

 

 

 

Sapphire bracelet: This actually could come in handy. I needed teletabs every now and then, and this could provide a nice use (besides games necklaces... which I have 100+ of...) for all those sapphires stacked in my bank.

 

 

 

Emerald bracelet: Well... I do play castlewars occasionally, and I DO have enough emeralds... meh I might make a few of these for getting that extra edge against those annoying flag guarders.

 

 

 

Ruby bracelet: I can't honestly see myself ever using these. Show of hands, how many people actually regularly do something that carries the risk of catching a disease in RS? Not many, for sure. Though, it is useful for completing the Zogre quest.

Diamond bracelet: Great idea, but a little conservative on the charges. With that few, only a complete coward would resort to using these. Diamonds aren't THAT cheap.

 

 

 

Diamond Necklace: And who exactly would wear this in place of a stat increasing amulet?

 

 

 

Dragon Bracelet: Only useful for its teleports. The slayer effect isn't really that great. The task is over when it's over, I don't need an update on my progress desperatly enough to sacrifice the awesome stats of barrows gloves.

 

 

 

Dragon Necklace: A few cool teleports here... the effect isn't that good though. Big net fishing isn't one of my favorite ways to waste time. (I waste time with minigames :)).

 

 

 

Onyx bracelet: The effect is nice, but it's not worth 5 mil.

 

 

 

Onyx necklace: To be blunt here, the effect is crap. Would have been nice if it at least had a better strength bonus than the strength ammy, but of it doesn't even have that. It reduces your attack, and reduces your defense by a LOT... to increase the strength of obby stuff. Which hardly anybody uses... and the people that do probally can't afford this necklace.

 

 

 

Also kind of dissapointed that the bracelet didn't have its own slot like the ring. It makes little sense that you can't wear gloves while wearing a bracelet.

 

 

 

But don't get me wrong, I like a lot of things in this update. There are just some things that would need modification to make them useful. Okay, to be honest, a lot of things. But we surely have a lot more than we did before the update.

Yeah good point. And the dragon bracelet may help no-def pures quite a bit. And it looks like if that happens... killing a pure will be slightly more profitable :thumbsup: ... though I don't PK.
