With my pretty low melee stats i did it! Supersetting, full rune, melee and invent full with sharks was the way to go. Strategic wise, the most interesting fight in a long time, well done Jagex.

 

 

 

It is kinda troublesome that my 66 att and 67 str caused much more damage than my 90 ranged...

If it's true, it sounds like a pretty bad glitch..

I really like the new spells. Allthough the plank making is slower, its a great way to get magic exp (90 exp per cast)

i had rune legs, plate and boots, barrows gloves, legend cape, neitiznot helm, whip d sq and glory,

 

 

 

only used 1 dose of a super set and 12 sharks.

I did in dhide with relative ease. Torag helm, 99 Cape, Dhide, Rune boots, Barrows Gloves, Defender and dds. Just kept the seal of passage on.

 

 

 

Super set and 10 sharks used. Once you've killed the first one the others are easy, just keep your hp 60+ and he won't kill you. Auto Retaliate helps as you'll be eating a fair bit.

I also used dhide but only on the first fight, I then changed to my Rune Armour. I have heard from many people that

 

dhide on first monster is the way to kill him. Drink super sets right before the fight, and full inv of sharks. I also agree

not really, it is rather tedious to change spellbook when you are being preoccupied with the victim in question hitting you, though it does open versatility of lunar having temporary spells

By the time you finish casting the spell, you'd be ashes.

 

 

 

This spellset is great, and further reinforces the belief that Lunar magic = white magic. The scanning spells are a prime example.

 

 

 

Now we need the level 99 spell "Blink" :P

My favorite use for the new stuff so far is being able to switch to ancients and use a wilderness teleport. I love clue hunting, so this makes it even better. I will probably be on lunars for a majority of my playing time now.

That Gohlacck or whatever Ice Plateau is called in Ancient Runescape teleport is broken, but good luck Clue Hunting when it gets fixed;)

And if its a glitch well . . . I'll pretend I found out myself by error when im doing the quest :XD:

Hopefully they don't release a fix for that glitch too soon.

I've been on Lunars for half a year now nonstop. Now it's even better. No Group Vengeance but it's still good.

I love the new spells! I'll probably always be on lunar now. After I get 96 magic.

Plank spell sucks.. You have to use the spell with each and every log. It doesn't do all of them.

Get ur goutweed before u switch to lunar magiks. Take trollheim teleport to stronghold.

 

 

 

Otherwise if ur on lunars, take fairy rings to DKS or the slayer dungeon site. Make sure u wear ur climbing boots. Go in the back way to stronghold, up past jail and down stairs. Go south to troll chefs and stairs in north part of that cavern.

 

 

 

Go steal the goutweed. Its non tradeble so u only need one. Bring food cause they hit u for 4-6 hp per visit. U can use lunar magiks to tele back if u used fairy rings/lunar staff

 

 

 

The quest itself was quite easy. Combat was another story. I recommend that u take a full inventory of food to the mines where the npc is. Look for the blue quest dot and squeeze thru the crevice to talk to him. Just use a different type of food on him and switch back and forth. Talk to him using the "positive" pep talk lines. Once u get him on his feet u have to get his chest from bank - he wanted to wear D med, Ahrims top and bottom, whip and ranger boots for my quest puzzle.

 

 

 

U dont need armour for first part of the quest if u just run past the monsters outside the mines. Just use black dhide or light stuff and boots of Ikov/spottier cape.

 

 

 

For the final battle drink super sets before u go to altar and light the fire at alter before for u drink pots. That way u dont have space taken up by tinderbox. U will need a hammer and mortar and pestle for grinding the Astral rune for potion.

 

 

 

I used barrows armour, defender, dds and whip to kill all four variations of the villan. U can go to the fountain if u need to escape the battle. Take some tuna potatoes for food and u be fine if u safe eat. Too bad I didnt know about glitch for prayer.

Planking your own planks, I hope you dont need money for it. Who knows how cheap construction could become.

if you can't make a fun invotory of logs into planks, for only 1 nat, then this wont help.

 

 

 

The other comment i have is that im gonna so run out and get lunar cause now i can get 70 construction by making 5k nats and make the logs into planks. this will save lots of $$. Really hope that its all true, now i got to get my mage up :XD:

Man if I had those speels I would be busy every day getting the combat stats of npcs :D
