I've been using the runescape forums for a while now, as it is a excellent place to get good prices for things and merchant. But it seems some people are either blind or can't read. For instance, I was selling 28k raw lobs on there for 220 ea this morning, and to my surprise about 10 people asked to buy some within 5 minutes of me posting the topic. So I sold them all (even getting I higher price for them, than I asked for. So then immediatly I edited my post to say ALL SOLD, but hours later around 5 different people pmed me asking me if they could buy some, and when clearly I had put that I had sold all of them. Now, if people on the forums took there time and actually read the topic then I wouldn't have to keep pm'ing them stating the obvious. So, to conclude, how do you feel about the runescape forums?

That was some bad experience you had. I usually only do trading in rsof and such misunderstanding of your post is quite rare to me. Maybe your post is just confusing?

and when i say selling lobs for example, some people come to me and ask iff they can sell lobs to me...

My thread: "Selling 4k coal 200 ea!"

 

them: "how much ea"

 

me: "The post says 200 ea..."

 

them: "Omg you noob!"

its very much got a 'my first forum' kinda feel. particularly the general forum. full of little kids who have only used chat rooms before and expect forums to work the same. i used to post there, until i found tif, now its for trading only.

I hate the official forums. I only use them for trading. They seem to be full of 12 years olds who speak in leet and seem to have the attitude "Z0mg 1 g0t 1 h1tt3d by 50m30n3 1n teh w1ld wh0 wa5 b3tt3r than me, 1'm g0nna hackz0r Jag3x c0z 1 l05t my full st33l!!!!"

But anyway, I have a Love/Hate relationship with the forums. They are the fastest way to find seller buyers, but otherwise, they are EVIL.

Yea I hate it, I usually sell stuff in these forums, and buy stuff on the RS forums. It works out, most of the time, but then theres people who dont read teh post.

I only go to laugh at Rants and Buying/Selling what I liked to do is when I'm done is edit all my post with "CLOSED" and it works good and keep chat on "friends" or "off"

The Rs forums are great no doubt, but there are some people who just :evil:

A few things people do not look for:

 

-The time of the topic, to see if the post is not out-dated.

 

-Wether or not something has been sold/changed in the posts following the first post.

 

-World/spot if said so

 

-Often, the price

 

-The amount sometimes..

 

 

 

No, people are not really looking carefully. But I myself have made some errors from time to time to. :-w

RS forums are full of spamy arses who don't know how to read and or type/spell...

people just see that you are selling the 28k lobs on your topic, they dont look to see if you sold em all or not. especially with that many lobs they think that you havent sold em all, because it was new and not on page 50. yes people dont read the post you made alot... but if your selling a ton of lobs like that, people will think its new and try to be the first one to buy em while everyone else is reading your post, and if that happends, you can ask for a higher price since they dont know whet you were asking for each :wink: \

I love when I post "Buyin blue dhides 1700 gp ea" and some noob pms me saying I will sell u some for 1800 ea. If I wanted to pay more/get gouged I would ask. lol

They're good, a little crowded and people bumb every 30 seconds!

That happens when some fool bumps it up without reading it.

 

Then everyone else pms you without actually reading the thread.

i dont use it except to buy and sell stuff and when i am really really bored
