The update is considered game balancing, or at least that's what it should be called. The people who complain/riot/protest are those who are not willing to adapt to change, which is a normal reaction that people exhibit when something familiar is suddenly different.

 

 

 

I also think it's rather pathetic that some F2P players would sign up for one month of membership purely on the pretense of training their character at PC (the old one) just so they can churn out a "1337 PKer" that they can use in F2P worlds when their membership runs out.

 

 

 

I agree with the view of the RSCers in that people should use the "traditional" combat training method of grinding hordes of monsters. That was how ye ol' dungeon crawlers worked and I definitely found that method of training more fulfilling than repetitively playing a mini-game. Occassionally, a Gelatinous Cube would spew out the body of a long dead adventurer and I get my hands on a few useful vials of Potion of Fire Breath. I miss those days.

Any tip.iters who participated in this riot should be ashamed. That is no way to act when you are mad, I am especially displeased that this went on it tip.it's homeworld, giving tip.it a bad name.

 

 

 

There's a handy forum called the rants board where you can riot all you want. Jagex will listen to you in the rants board, NOT when you riot. No one should be complaining if they got muted.

I think the new PC is good. I was a member before the update, but there were credit card issues. I played PC before. It was fun, but all the pures are whining, just because of some update. I hate pures, because everytime something goes bad for them, they complain, and whine.

Indeed, but because of what Lenin had idealized (sp?), which was supposed to be real Communism, ignorant people just lump Stalinism together with Communism. So while I'm actually a Stalinist, I say I'm Communist for the people don;t know the difference.

 

 

 

OT: Rioting is pathetic and doesn;t get anything done. And why do the pures hate the new update so much? All it seems is level classification, is it because of their lower cb level they get less points?

I'm not so sure about that statement. Lenin twisted Marxism to fit within the context of his own time. Communism in its purest form is a country with no state, as the country has been through a Socialist Revolution and the class borders have been smashed as the Proletariat takes more power over its class enemy, the Borgeoisie. Russia had a state, so I don't regard the Leninist state as Communism either. Having said that, there is no doubt Lenin was a Marxist - he just knew what needed to be done, and this meant twisting Marxism into his own form. Personally, I'm actually with Trotsky myself.

 

 

 

Either way, Stalin wasn't a Marxist, and was most certainly not a Communist. He was purely evil. Nothing more.

 

 

 

The ignorance towards Communism comes from the Cold War. The Americans never liked the term "Communism" from the word 'go'. It would have been very beneficial for them to label Stalin as 'Communist' - they could kill two birds with one stone. Unfortunetely (for them at least), what they didn't realise is that you can't kill an ideology. In fact, if you try, you actually fuel a resistance for that ideology. How topical when you look at today's situation in the Middle-East. :roll:

 

 

 

Anyways, I'm going WILDY off topic lol. They never got what they wanted in today's update, and from what I see, the protests are slowly dying down as people start to realise the vainness of their actions. It was very wise of Jagex to ignore the protests, and to not respond. Clearly, the Gowers are learning how to deal with situations like this... I like it.
