NightHawK
Anybody reckon it has the reverse effect of a ring of wealth in a big way? Since I started using mine I dont seem to get good drops as regularly as I used to. www.di-rs.com
Latinoking
The Black Mask was meant for Slayer not a scheme to get low drops. :? I am Teh_King[My dA][My Last.FM][My Twitter]
schmuall
In short... no. It's just coincidence/your imagination give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever

Bobbington
Totaly random... On the day I got my black mask drop I went straight to the fire giants (slayer task) and got my first dragon drop (spear), in the same inventory of food I got my second ever dragon drop (shield)..... that would make some think that it's like a super ring of wealth! Or we could just realise that it has no effect at all.

DRUMINATOR17
*points to sig* ALL of those came with a ring of wealth and a black mask on, so I still believe ring of wealth works to some effect, although others always will disagree. However seeing as how it never has been told to have an effect on the drops you get, and that ive still gotten lots with it. I'll just have to say its all in your mind   CLICK - 770th to 99 SLAYER 2/4/08 - 204th to 99 Summoning 7/1/08 CLICK[Hide=List of Drops That I haven't updated in Years but want to keep in my Sig anyways...]VISAGE DROP - 12/06/073 Duo Sara Hilts, 3 Duo Arma Hilts, 2 Trio Arma Hilts.Dark Bows: (11) Dragon Boots: (50!)Whip Drops: (42!!!) Voldmort0
It's just bad luck ;) In fact, it's said you have better luck with drops during slayer, but it's just a rumor-theory. Runescaper since June 2005Blog
Lord Diddy
Its rumored your more likey to get rare items on slayer tasks, so... its most likely you have bad luck\ your slayer master hates you. :ohnoes:
warren211
Think its your head, or your lousy luck. once you notice you dont get good drops as much, you begin to belief it happens often, even if it doesnt. If you want to flip a coin and only want tails, would you count heads? probably not. so if tails never showed up for a while, you'd be uncertain. even when it did show up, you'd still think its uncommon. I think its really all about luck and your mind. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. I own. http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun. Rosanante1
It took me ages to get a black mask from the cave horrors but after six hours also wearing a ring of wealth I finally got one. W00T! In my experience you get better drops if while your character has on it's black mask, ring of wealth etc, you can improve your chances of a good drop by wearing an aluminium foil hat while playing RS. I made my own. This prevents Jagex from reading your thoughts and interfering with your computer. You do have an aluminium foil hat don't you? Still the proud owner of Quest Cape since 8th December 2007All skills used to be 70 or higher. (Dang you Dungeoneering. Oh wait, it's not a skill...)Drops: Whips 8, Black Mask 8, D/Skirt 1, D/Spear 1, D/Shield Left Half 1, D/Boots 12, G/Maul 4, Range Ammy 1, Hexcrest 1. stan18
black mask increases your chances of getting drops ... since you kill monsters faster and more often, thus getting more opportunities at drops

greendayrocks9
the ring of wealth is a strange thing to every1, some say it does help you get rarer drops, some say it reduces the change, just like: i've got black mask after around 260 kills of cave horrors, and my friend still dont got 1 after almost 600 :boohoo: proud wearer of the quest and cooking capeloot from barrows: ahrims bottom, guthans body, guthans warspear, great axe and guthans chainskirt

andylax38
Tell me, is there any proof that the ring of wealth increases your good drops? Think of Ring of wealth like a wheel with rare drop and not rare drop written on the spaces of the wheel. While wearing the ring instead of having one space say rare drop you have two that say rare drop. Now having more rare drop spaces increases your chance of getting a rare drop but it still has to land on one of those two spaces. Also when you consider some of the items that are considered rare (e.g most rune items, battle staffs, etc.) it decreases the chances of getting the drop that you want even more. ~>~Check Out My Bursting Guide~<~Current goals - 99 Slayer, 99 Summoning, 85 DungeoneeringAchieved goals - Quest Cape, 99 Strength, 85 Slayer, 99 Range, 88 Summoning, 90 Slayer, 99 Magic, 99 Farming
