well now that school started for me, my mom only lets me play for about an hour in the mornings. thus i am only on in that hour and leave pretty quickly. Some chats can be empty at times at the day, at least we have some discussion most of the day.

Tipit chat delines? It delcined within hours of its release, it was spammed to hell and back, which I think was the decline.

 

 

 

I honestly hope it dies, so they can think of a less obvious name, so only tifers can go, i mean "tipitchat" screams "spam me! spam me!"

The chat declining was inevitable from the beginning. The storm of immature runescape players flooded the chat and now a fraction of the orginal amount of people at the channel remain.

 

 

 

Moderators aren't a problem, we have plenty of them and usually an average of 2-3 on at a time. It's the relentless spamming from people who have created multiple accounts, get on them one by one, spam until they get banned, and do it an hour later.

 

 

 

I much enjoyed the first 4 days of tip.it chat. I wish it would go back to that.

 

 

 

Solutions? Let the host chooose how long someone is to be banned by adding a another button on the "chat setup." The options would include 1 hour, 2 hours, 5 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, and a week. This would at least decrease the amount of spamming, but not totally eliminate it.

The mod thats on 10 hours+ a day in The 1 u luv shes the best. Also there Fudgy and Headnazgul. Thats about it for everyday!

 

 

 

Theres ALMOST NEVER 2+ mods on at a time.

I use to pop in once and awhile but lately I've been very busy with track & first year of high school and all so I don't go on RS for a week or so at a time, and I've lost interest in the chat due to spam and because really you can't have a decent conversation.

If i was a mod... Like i suggested : then there would be little to no spam at all! Ever!

 

 

 

I think a few of the regular visitors should be given ranks to kick people.

 

 

 

I used to spend all my ingame time on tipitchat(Usally 8+ hours a day), now because of the complete lack of mods and the amount of spam i go to Blogscape.

 

 

 

For example, the other day i went in there just to watch the conversations for an hour or 2 and this is all that was talked about:

 

-Drugs

 

-A decompiled runescape client(Against rule 7)

 

-Macroers

 

And some other stuff.

 

 

 

There were about 20 people online yet no moderators, some people were saying some really offencive stuff and it made my wish i could just give them a warning to stop.

This time it is properly moderated with all trusted regular visitors trialed as a moderator.

 

 

 

If it had good instructions for the moderators it could work well.

We anticipate that tipitchat will fizzle out because enough players will create their own clan chats without needing Tip.It Staff to manage one. After all, we are not Jagex staff and we have a chat function here, within our control.

 

 

 

We know there are trolls out there just aching to hop on our chat and annoy us all. Please refrain from naming names though, or this thread will need to be locked.
