September 20, 200718 yr Browsing around the Internet I found this site. It proposes a new way to separate political ideologies beyond the old left-right line. It separates it into an Economic axis (Communism-Capitalism {neo-liberalism}) and a Social Axis (Anarchism-Fascism). Direct link to the test. I got pretty radical results, I'm a loyal follower of Socialism: Economic Left/Right: -6.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.87 Post your results! [i just tried searching, and the only similar post is more than a year old, I thought it would be better if I started a new thread instead of doing such a horrid necro. Just for the record, around 60% of Tif'ers had negative scores on both axis, but there was no Barihawk, for example.] This signature is intentionally left blank.

September 20, 200718 yr That test is too black&white for my taste... Here's just few examples: The rich are too highly taxed. * Taxed where and how? That doesn't take make any difference for stable tax percent and progressive taxing, neither it takes the country (+it's average tax rate) into it. Schools should not make classroom attendance compulsory. * This doesn't make any difference between the American private school system and nordic public school system, neither it cares about the level of education. There's just few to take as an example. I wouldn't take this kind of tests too seriously, but anyways did it and got this: our political compass Economic Left/Right: -1.12 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.41 I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm

September 20, 200718 yr Author Economic Left/Right: -3.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.38 No idea what the hell that means exactly. Your score is quite similar to that of a soft social democrat, but it'll change a lot depending on your location. By the way, Necromagus is a hardcore Communist, that's the most extreme score I've ever seen. :uhh: You might want to see this image, it shows the approximations the results of important figures like Pol Pot and Margaret Thatcher. September 20, 200718 yr Author Well, in order to avoid confusions you'd have to specifically say what you mean. ("I got a high Left/Right/Authoritarian/Libertarian score") Unless we say: Socialism is good. Thus scoring more to the left is a better (i.e. higher) result. :D This signature is intentionally left blank.
