alcoolj
If you have completed Back to my Roots, you will be able to grow a jade vine in a Farming patch in East Ardougne. Should you let this plant go 'wild', it will grow into an impressive Slayer monster. You cannot be assigned to kill the jade vine, but doing so will earn you a handy 3000 Slayer experience. Note, though, that you must attack it with a Woodcutting axe and have secateurs in your inventory. From KB

Avatar200
got hit 71 by the book in sandys office Perhaps the damage is a percentage of your total hp? If so, the moral is to make sure you have full health when you attempt it. just for reference, i had 87/87 hp when i got hit 42 by the diary. edit: total reward xp goes up to 112k!!! superson
The jade vine has a kinda strange scientfic name Macro means large, big. Botys means plant. This has nothing to do with Autoers. Guest xpoc454
Anyone else find a bug in the new quest. If you get the root put it in the pot and put the lid on and die. Before ypu ake it to Horacio. You can not get another one. If you go to dig another root it wont allow you. If you go to Horaccio to try to get him to reset something, it says you gave it to him and go ahead and plant it. I sent a bug report to Jagex. Most probably because they assumed everyone was smart enough to wait and see if the root takes like it tells you too before they sealed it in the pot? Quite an obscure bug since it sounds as if u directly ignored a simple instruction the quest gives. Guest xpoc454
Wow , I guess you have you have trouble with reading comprehension. I mentioned I had already put the lid on, which means the plant took hold. What I said was I died basically on the way from putting the lid on to Horacio. Thanks for the insulting though, it made me laugh.

Thanks for the insulting though, it made me laugh. The way you wrote your post made it sound like the plant had died, not you yourself. It's not his fault you can't make yourself understood. But from what I can tell, dieing with the sealed pot in your inventory results in losing the seed and being unable to get it back? Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Guest xpoc454
I never got the seed. I died carryng the closed pot to horacio basically. After I died I went back to try to dig more roots and that didn't work. I went to Horacio and he says thanks for bringing it back and go ahead and plant. Sy_Accursed
Don't insult me. As the other guy said the way you wrote it implied that you: Got the root Put it into the plant pot Sealed this into the other pot BEFORE waiting to see if it took or wilted Got to Horacio and found it to be dead What you wrote did NOT read as you died. If you want to insult some for reading comprehension, ensure your post reads properly before you do so. My reading was perfectly correct of what you wrote, but clearly what you wrote was not what you meant. Still sounds like quite an obscure bug, I'd imagine most people would teleport out after sealing it up or would have enough pray/food etc to walk back out. But definately a bug Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Guest xpoc454
Figured it out. If anyone is making a guide and its not added, add this to the guide. If you die after you have the root in the pot and the lid on. Go to Garth the gardener to get it back. He says he found it on the ground.
mememe513
The jade vine has a kinda strange scientfic name That could be Jagex's excuse why they removed the old vine random that people who played rsc talk about.
TeeBeaun
Im confused, if i pay the farmer to watch it does that mean that i can not get it for slayer xp? or do i just have to check it and then come back later when its grown wild?
samcowcow
Appreantly...you only have to pay 10 hops ONCE! I have checked-health the vine. and after many hours it turned into slayer monster. I killed. Got the jade vine seed again. I planted. and when i try to pay him 10 hops, he says he is already looking after it
cat666
I think you get 3k slayer XP if you let it grow to monster size. Farming XP if you prune it. Trust the Gene Genie!
