daigotsu Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 The map is pretty good, though I think I stumbled across an "Enter Vine" option that skipped a lot of the maze -- it took me directly to the 3 Ant Soldier room without having to go to the top mesh level. And in response to qeltar, the nature rune drops from the ant soldiers are pretty good. Not sure it's worth getting hit as hard as you do occasionally, but I accumulated 117 natures in a very short time from them. I would've added "Enter Vine" and "Hole" but they're completely random as in where you end up, so kind of useless ;) But you can get lucky. Maybe adding a little indicator that South is at the top would make it clearer for those who couldn't tell by looking at the map. I think it makes the most sense with this orientation, though. Chartres Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 That eagle on the upper level of the vine maze looked very familiar to me and indeed I discovered it is part of the transportation system from Eagles Peak. I went straight to the Eagles Peak quest end and found the Karamja Eagle there, used a rope on it and was flown to the vine maze. Mayjest Posted October 10, 2007 Share Posted October 10, 2007 The point of the Jade Vine has been released: letting it grow wild then killing it gives 3k slayer experience. I assume that each time you kill it you get a seed from it so you can replant it, and I assume that yields a decent amount of farming experience. Also, I assume (from the fact that they mentioned Tears of Guthix) that it takes roughly a week to grow. Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is!
