Is anyone else like me?

When I started playing, I made an account and got pretty good at RS..

Then decided to quit, so I gave away my account. About 4 months later I wanted to play again, so I made another one.. then I made a pure, then it became my main, then it got banned. So I made another account.. didnt like the name so I made another one.. then skillers, more pures, mains, looters even ... <.<

I can never seem to stick to one account..

Does anyone else have the same problem?

And, just a small question.. How can I stop?

There are plenty of people that go back and forth between accounts, or can't stick to one account, etc. However I've kept to this same account most of my RS career (if you could call it that...), however I do have a few pures I play every so often.

It really just depends on what you like best from the game (if you switch between accounts a lot).

I gave away my very first account to a friend irl because I got bored (this was way before RS2). Then I got bored irl, so I made a new account (which is my current one). Whenever I would get bored on RS, I'd go play some other game or work on one of my many pures. Too bad I don't have time to play RS anymore <.<

I made my first account > Gave it away.

Made another account > Got bored and "buried" it.

Made another account > New main. Got bored but put him on hold.

Made a skiller > My pure atm, and its looking like its gonna be my new main.

Your description sounds a lot like one of my friends - he loves to pk (and is a fantastic pker at that), but can never seem to stick with one account forever. After seeing him go through ~4 accounts, I've finally understood it: that's just the way he wants to play this game. Sticking with one account would be boring for him, and if that's how he feels, then swapping between accounts is what he should do.

If you don't like switching between accounts but just can't seem to hold onto one, then my personal advice would be to find something that you've always enjoyed doing (such as pking), decide how you want to do it, and make an account. Don't stress yourself too much over your past history with accounts; just decide what you like to do, and do it. As long as you can always have fun with your account, then you're on the right track, and you'll have an easy time holding on to a sole one. That's the most important thing.

Not that you necessarily want the opinion of a WoW'er but I do the same thing in World of Warcraft. I suffer from a severe case of the "grass is greener" syndrome and also a moderate-severe case of "rerollitis." But mostly, it is for stupid reasons - liking one race over another, one faction over another, one class over another at that time. Once I decide to play class/faction/race X, the complete opposite suddenly looks intriguing.

I am the epitome of fickleness!

I think the best explanation for this is just like me, When your low leveled you get those wonderful sparkies more often (level ups) and I find that when my skills get higher and the levels further apart it is hard to concentrate.

I've only ever owned one account since I've started playing.

I don't see the point in investing so much time on one character, just to partially abandon it to start on another. Just feels like a complete waste of time.

You'll probably find that the majority of top RS players only have the one account (or very briefly tried another character before realising their mistake).
