Finally, someone with some sense. I can see that I'm not alone; I honestly do think that history will repeat itself (Jagex barring holiday events for a time due to complaints about the holiday event).

I agree, even though I voted for the Bone Brooch. I rather like how Jagex designed the hood, although I will never forgive the idiots who voted for Varrock as the most recent achievement diary.

Events are for f2p and p2p - and that will never change. Why shouldnt both types of players be able to decide what will be introduced?

its a good thing they know what we dont want at least. [bleep]ing wanted the brooch. i wish they had not added 1 of them 4-5% options so it could have had a stronger decision.

I feel that we don't need a say in the polls.

 

Tha being said it's Jagex's choice to do whatever they want, for all you know they might make macroing legal the next day.

Why does a mere $5 (at least) hinder your option to vote? How is your opinion ANY different than somebody who DOESN'T pay at least $5? I don't want to be mean or anything, but it's true. There's a heavy bias upon members.

I say yes. They play the game, and even if they don't directly aid in payment, if members are allotted to vote (I hope not..i want a surprise ), so should freetoplay. They're no different from us =]

I think that there was only one problem and it was the poll it self. Jagex shouldn't made the poll at the first time! Why did they made something like that? And by the way, f2p was able to vote? Didn't know lol

f2p does get access to the event, but I think we should be the only ones voting since we are the ones paying. f2p should be glad to get what it gets but don't deserve a say in it.

Why? It's only for fun, and, i can assure you that quite alot of people voted for the broom because they thinked it would literally "fly" in the air and travel to places. It was really close, but the hood still won, maybe next year the broom will be there. Besides, it's the first f2p hood, maybe alot of low-leveled newbs voted for the hood. But still, it WON. Stop whining, that thing won't affect you. :shame:

because the f2p'ers do not pay. I don't mind them getting the update, i think they should since the update just marks how long you have been playing, however I think the paying players are the ones that should get to pick the item.

First, whoever said ad's give 10 cents a click... it's actually like 1/10 a cent per click.

 

 

 

Also, I don't think ANYONE should be voting on these holiday gifts.

 

 

 

1) They used to be more exciting. Waiting for Halloween and Christmas, not sure exactly what we're getting, but knowing for sure we DO get something.

 

 

 

2) People whining constantly. I'm sorry, but Jagex can't cater to EVERYONE. Jagex offered several choices, everyone chooses one, Jagex goes with the one option with the most choices. Everyone is in high spirits til they realize they didn't get what they want. Then they start demanding a choice of gift, demanding that certain people shouldn't vote, etc. Be a good sport about it... seriously.

 

 

 

3) This is the one that bothers me the most. NO ONE SAID THE STUPID BROOM STICK WOULD LET YOU FLY AROUND RUNESCAPE!!!

 

 

 

A broom that can sweep or be hovered on.

 

 

 

Hovered means to be lifted into the air a couple feet or so. We have very little knowledge about what Jagex could have intended by that, although it would likely be something similar to marionettes, with multiple options and some funny emote. Granted, it COULD be a broomstick which you can mount and fly across Runescape, but that's highly unlikely considering all the bugs that could create, abuses, etc.

I think F2P should get the holiday updates. They are fun and don't give any real advantages, so I dont see why not. It would be kinda cool if they holiday items did give some bonuses (not steller ones, maybe equivenent to steel armor or something) so you dont feel like your walking around nekkid. But meh, whatever.

Members pay for the development of the game, funding for it to be hosted. Funding the FREE TO PLAY SERVERS that aloow f2p. Money dosn't grow on trees, its gotta come from somewhere, and that source is members. JaGeX tries more to please the members, who signed up to help the game. F2P has more then enough to do, I was f2p until lvl 95, when I had really out grown everything thre is to f2p.

 

 

 

You got alot f2pers...don't ask for more. You don't have any reason to get more, or even play free. Don't push it.
