April 17, 201016 yr Revolver as secondary. I have no idea about Primary, but probably a carbine of some sort.
April 17, 201016 yr .... well... whatever. why are we even talking.. about zombies anyways? (its a question take it or leave it) Youtube account: Earthgragonsage; currently uploading not an effing thing.[hide=Memorable Crossroads Quotes.]Reigan: NO MOOSE CAN SAVE US NOW; ...Had that been taken out of context, it would have been comical... April 17, 201016 yr (sorry ross and yes I was paying attention to the conversation I just thought if you had to use a melee weapon something like that would be useful) [hide] [/hide] So a revolver as a secondary and a carbine/rifle as a primary?
April 17, 201016 yr Ah, naganita, or something like that I believe. Again, would require a lot of training, though not as much as the shaolin spade or katana, to use. Getting hold of one would be annoying, and it would leave you open if they got past the blade.
April 17, 201016 yr then have a revolver close to hand to kill any that do get past. maybe the best primary weapon would be a sub machine gun? a light submachine gun? Youtube account: Earthgragonsage; currently uploading not an effing thing.[hide=Memorable Crossroads Quotes.]Reigan: NO MOOSE CAN SAVE US NOW; ...Had that been taken out of context, it would have been comical... April 17, 201016 yr It'd be difficult to take out a gun and get an accurate headshot after swinging that kind of weapon.
April 17, 201016 yr Trench Knifes=/= trench spikes. Spikes are better, but don't have any use other than killing zombies. I have a trench knife, it's basically just a knife with brass knuckles as part of the handle. A machete is good, and I have a few good ones, and I also have a crowbar, so I'm set melee wise. Anyways, a shotgun is great in a city setting. You'll mostly be shooting at close range, and anything further than the 10m-20m effective range of your shotgun, you can use a pistol, or not shoot at all. If you have a semi auto shotgun, more power to you, but I personally prefer the pump action. And yes, I've used all types of shotguns (excluding clip fed semi/auto) single, double barrel, pump, and semi auto. In general though, a semi automatic rifle is perfect for a primary, if you're only fighting zombies. Here is a list of my top 5 primaries:1: AKM, 47 or 74. 2: M4 Carbine3: Ruger Mini 144: Remington 8705: Model 1894C (If .357 as sidearm), or H&K USC if using a .45acp pistol. Here are my top sidearms:1: H&K USP Compact or Colt 19112: Any .357 Revolver3: Glock 184: Glock 325: Taurus Judge Hegemony-Spain
April 17, 201016 yr So then whip out your trench spike (that weapon and a trench spike are not mutually exclusive) or use it's base (which I believe is metal) to cave it's head in.
April 18, 201016 yr Hmm the problem with a revolver is the amount of bullets it carries and its reload speed isn't it? This could sound a bit silly but how about a version of the revolver with four built in spinny things (I really don't know the name but its where the bullet goes and you can spin it XD) They could possibly balance on a similar thing to how the revolver works in the first place, effectively quadrupling the ammo in the gun :D A way to fix the reload speed could be making it so the spinny things are removeable and carry around multiple ones that you already have filled with bullets, but not making it so they're disposable. I'm not sure if this will make it so it can now jam, but it seems like a good idea as it fixes two of the biggest problems with the revolver :D It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?
April 18, 201016 yr ICU!!! Nice to see you again. Too bad you left D'neering, you were one of the most awesome characters =b 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? Remember, Remember, the 4th of NovemberRIP Dawngate ;-;
April 18, 201016 yr Actually, the third point on that list was actually used. At a point when replacement parts were cheap, some people would remove the entire Spinning thing (I don't know the name either) and put in a full one, then pick them up again after they finish shooting things. It's a pretty good idea.
April 18, 201016 yr Saves time :P Also has anyone ever really even thought about turrets? Personally turrets would be a GREAT idea, costly though. And hello again Nex >< And everyone else :P It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?
April 18, 201016 yr Well the problem would be getting access to a turret, and some way to maintain it. Then you need to set it to identify and shoot the head... It would be a luxury to have it, but almost impossible to get.
April 18, 201016 yr Well seeing the amazing advancements in weaponry, and that a zombie outbreak probably wont happen for quite a few years (if it ever does). I think smart turrets will be around, though not publically available. If somehow the army falls to the zombies, seriously I think it couldn't go past that anyway unless EVERYBODY but you is [developmentally delayed]ed. Then a raid on a army base or armoury will probably get you what you need, and you could probably hold it off until the ammo reserves are low, at which point you move to a new one :P And then, for some reason you realise, theres not enough bullets left to kill the rest of the zombies left, and you use your last one to kill yourself :/ It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

April 18, 201016 yr Hehe thats how my nickname originated I was an avid sniper on many games I played :P. I was always like I see you, but then I shortened it to ICU, then I put ownage on the end cause I was around 12 and that meant I was cool, to my 12 year old self. April 18, 201016 yr I don't even think the military actively use autotargeting turrets yet. Because it's hard to get a machine to be able to differentiate a head from say, a football.
April 28, 201016 yr Any idea how strong a crossbow has to be to kill a zombie? I finished one I was working on a few days ago and I was quite impressed by it (it shot a blunt stick stuck in a tree, and it is very accurate even though the "trench" along the stock isn't dug). Also my overfilled garage would be a perfect base, chalk stone walls, entrance to backyard (with berries, rubburb and herbs) through a tight door, a small cellar thingy and a tall alcove to sleep on. April 28, 201016 yr A crossbow is a good silent weapon. Useless if you're being actively engaged by multiple targets, but useful for taking something out from a distance as well as for hunting without revealing your position. Re-usable ammunition in many cases as well. One you make yourself could have varied effectiveness due to lowered durability, longer reload times and less force behind the bolts. Pluses are that they're cheap, don't require a permit of any sort in a pre-apocalypse world, and you make your own bolts. Any chance I could see a picture of it or diagram? I've designed a few crossbows in the past but I've never actually built one. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
April 28, 201016 yr If you had a generator you could easily survive the Zombie Apocalypse.Basically, you could grow food with UV lighting and just barricade yourself within your house.

April 29, 201016 yr If you had a generator you could easily survive the Zombie Apocalypse.Basically, you could grow food with UV lighting and just barricade yourself within your house.Generators run on gas or propane. A big tank will only really last you 5-10 days max. Hegemony-Spain
April 29, 201016 yr Or you could grow plants on the roof and have a (strong) trapdoor leading up to them. I'll take a pic of the crossbow. Twitter: @TheMather1
April 30, 201016 yr now, if i could possibly have my modified hidden blades that i have come up with.. April 30, 201016 yr Which, I assume are based in some way on trench spikes? Then again, what need is there to hide them. The zombie doesn't care if you're carrying weapons.
