Well the title just about says it all.

 

 

 

For some reason i only lag while playing RuneScape. My net wont even go above 5Kbps, yet on ANY other site is is 100 times better than that.

 

 

 

I mean even when i was uploading the files to image shack they were ridiculously fast compared to RuneScape.

Yet after speedtests, after using any other site, ONLY RuneScape is giving me these problems.

 

 

 

I can Play any other game easily on xbox live with no lag at all yet on this i get disconnected non stop its terrible.

 

 

 

If anyone else getting these similar problems.

 

 

 

BTW its only been happening this month after all these new updates, the one that triggered it the most was the exchange.

 

 

 

So does anyone know why its only RuneScape thats giving me these problems.

By the way the bandwidth monitor you see in the images is called "DU Meter" (I assume DU means download/upload)

I have the same lag problems, but I haven't done any speed tests while playing yet. My dad split the cable so that half would go to the kitchen in the TV and half to the internet, but I don't know if this affected my internet speed much. I haven't been having any problems browsing, but I do see some rs lag. I don't know if it's the same problem as you have though :-#

It could be the same problem, you should run a test of get that nifty little program i have.

I haven't had many lag problems, and any that I have I know it's from my Dad DL'ing stuff. It's always around the time he gets home or after dinner when he's on his computer.

i had the same problem a few days ago ever since the GE came out. I ran a test nd it was EXCATLY the same as urs!!! But then i became a member nd all the lag left. :-k

thats why i ended up quitting, i cant even walk 4 steps without it losing connection. yet i can play world of warcraft..

It is the Java that is lagging you.

 

 

 

Whenever I have the rs game window up (even if I'm not loged in) everything goes a bit slower

my cables split to my tv and if i try to log on while its on i lose connection and regain it.....a little annoying and on certain channels (usually 90-116) i lag in game -.-

I have been getting lag and disconnnections after the GE came out as well. I have never had this problem before and I assumed it was a coincidence that it started after the GE update. Maybe its not a coincidence.

Must be either the effects of Grand Exchange or they are preparing for Summoning.

Yesterday i had to stop pyramid plundering cuz it was so bad, i couldnt finish the course in the 5 minute period.

Yeah same thing is happening to me too. I downloaded that DU thing and ran some tests and I have around the same #'s of you it's strange because I've been losing connection a lot over the last week or so, and over the 2 years I've played the total amount of disconnections I've gotten is around 3-5. I don't really know what's going on... :-k

Today was the first time I have lagged in MONTHS. No joke

I notice this too, I get strange lags when I pk. And Im not the only one, If I lag, other people say 'lagg' too.

 

 

 

And, since the GE I log out when I want to cross the wilderniss ditch sometimes. Must be a bug, I should tell jagex. :-k

yeah, i'm lagging more than before this month...

 

I also cancelled my membership today (i have exams coming), and went on f2p server to talk to some friends, and it was lagging even more...

 

anyway, i have a two week break now, so i hope the problem is solved by then...

i guarantee its the ge.... i kno what all yall are talkin about rs like freezes up for a second or 2 then goes right back to doin like its suppose to, but everytime it happens to me it seems like 1 or 2 ppl around me will say theyre lagging too... jagex needs to do some tests apparently :|

I've lagged a lot lately too, its nervous to rc as i don't wanna dc whilst in the abyss.

I lagged the other day in the abyss,but my Ring of life save me :D

 

I hardlies ever lag,but I'v been getting logged out loads,especially when starting minigames like duel tournys and CWs

Ever since G.E I've been getting random [bleep]es of lagg, also my screen mysteriously whites out at times too.. Jagex fix this before we have a cow

I too have been lagging and all my friend's say they are. It didn't happen until today though, not sure why.

Well ever since my computer got groovy with a virus my computer has been a mess but when I get on RS ill lag for about 5 minutes (get logged out) instead of about 15 seconds for everything else. Since the lag is so ridiculous I'm taking a break from RS.

I am based in the UK, and whenever I try to use the USA servers I get a lot of lag. However, when I use any other server I find everything is OK.

 

 

 

Perhaps it would be a good idea to try and record the servers where lag problems occur then we could provide accurate information to Jagex so that they can identify and resolve the issue.

Thank god im not the only one thought it was gonna get locked or something. But it looks like ive brought up a serious problems.

 

 

 

Brave, i lag on any server doesn't matter USA, UK, F2P or P2P all the same for me.
