im more on about, this dude is payed $4 a day, and he dosent want to do the job hes doing, but he has to, to support his family, and hes made to work 12 hour days etc.

4 bucks a day.... compared to 10 an hour in the states...

 

 

 

and its still one of the better paying jobs in china, you know...

kinda, i know about the exchnage rates etc. but thats still pretty bad.

That would be the stupidist thing in the history of stupid things.

 

 

 

My Current IP changes each time the internet reconnects, not only that but I'm home from University and thus have a different IP there then here.

 

 

 

Some people probably travel for work or something and thus are able to access Runescape from a lot of different places, banning someone for using a different IP is just plain stupid.

right darkdude, but it's unrealistic for you to log in one day in china then the next back home, especially if its not an airport / hotel isp. ;)

If the IP logging into your account is hopping around the world then it would make sense to be suspicious.

 

But like Dark Dude I log in at uni and at home which varies quite often so I have 2 IP's regularly logging into my account.

What a stupid moron, she even said she'd get your account banned for Account Sharing/Trading when she said she would tell your friend that someone else is on your account. Communist countries -.-

Yes they ruin the game for other players, but keep in mind they aren't doing it for the pleasures of pissing others off, they don't even like the games for crying out loud!

 

How would you feel if you woke up one day and you found yourself to be living in a single room apartment with your entire family, which you had to support on 4$ a day?

Also $4 a day in a developing country is quite a good wage. Sure compared to what we expect to be the base standard of living it sucks. But to them it's pretty darn good.

Do you have a soul for crying out loud? That poor man (in both senses of the word) works $12 hours a day for $4 a day...that means in a week he hasn't earned a full tank of gas. This is a tragedy, and I can't believe you would say something so cruel.

Retaliate at what? All I stated was the image of Americans abroad. I didn't say I agree with that image. What I was saying is that posting stupid stuff like, for example, 90% of this thread, perpetuates a negative image of the US.

I don't understand what the point of this thread is, to be honest. Nearly everyone already knows what the deal is with gold farmers.

 

 

 

I can understand that Chinese gold farmers don't really care that they are breaking Jagex's rules.. but at the same time, I don't get why people fall for the baloney sob stories about how these folks are just doing what they need to do. They aren't.

 

 

 

The real ones to blame aren't the gold farmers anyway. They are the rich Westerners who provide the demand for their supply.

In response to Qeltar: I think the point of this thread is to make it clear that power-leveling services are now replacing gold-farming.
