Also, they aren't the most well known band out there. I think the credit they get equals their talent. I don't think AC/DC is THAT overrated, but I'd agree that it is a little though. I love guitar heavy music though.(People find it strange that my favorite music is from the late 80s and early 90s, as I was born in '93. I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. Lol. :lol: With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. Everyone has their opinion on whether something is good or not, and I definitely respect that, but I don't think it's fair to say that "because they have some of the most loyal fans" is a reason why they're good. Point out their musical talent, songwriting, or stage antics as a reason why they're good, not that they have a loyal fan base; most every band has that. Stuff like Sgt. peppers influenced a lot of todays progressive rock and metal (and Pet sounds by the beach boys) because no one had ever heard that stuff before. I'm not sure sure...i mean, it's one thing not to like them and not respect them. You have to recognize what it was. No one had done what they did before. No band in the history of the world had been as popular as they were. McCartney may be the greatest music virtuoso to grace the 20th century, Lennon was an absolute genius and George was just...ah, indescribably awesome (Ringo was good, but not spectacular). They brought fun and emotion to music that hasn't really been on a similar scale since. I mean, i don't really understand not liking them (i see people who's interests are like hardcore rap or death metal, but they love the beatles) because they're so accessable, but whatever. It's Kurt Kobain or however you spell his last name...everyone thinks he was a musical genius and a guitar virtuoso, and he really wasn't... but he had a nice voice. I did not like him though, he had a little girl and he killed himself anyway. But... AC/DC, or maybe Metallica. AC/DC... well... they aren't really talented. And Metallica wasn't overrated.
