This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but you'd have to have a really under-developed sense of humor/brain power to actually find most of /b/ posts funny.

 

 

 

Maybe 1-2% of the posts/images are original or generate a good discussion with genuinely funny images, the rest are just exactly those 'lamer' posts like "LURK MOAR" or "EPIC FAIL", "TITSORGTFO". How anyone besides kids who just turned 12 would find them even remotely funny is beyond me.

 

 

 

Memes and stupid stuff like that kill the site. That's not what it was originally meant for. But thanks to idiots, who couldn't understand sophisticated humor, it's already damaged beyond repair.

 

 

 

Hint: Read Zonorhc's posts on tip.it. That's exactly the kind of dark humor 4chan and /b/ imageboards were all about. It's sad so many people could never comprehend it and turned that place into a cesspool of thousands of morons posting 'memes'.

Agreed. Dark humor, if done well, can be funny as hell. (See: Metalacolypse :D :thumbup: ) However 4chan just, well, isn't.

4chan used to be a semi-good place to go and read up on a few things, and even laugh a things that you wouldn't see elsewhere. I don't know what happened to bring all the idiots there, and it's not teenagers, it's a lot of 20-30 year olds posting on there.

 

 

 

I just remember the piling up of idiotic threads on there, and eventually I just left it.

Keyword - "used" to be like that. The new users on that board have no idea about the kind of humor was really all about. The japanese original, 2chan, used to have similar entertaining dark humor and good pictures. 2chan used to be tightly moderated, now they've slipped up and allow pretty much any crap to be posted there, just like /b/.

I've been to /b/ twice, some funny stuff, some girls posting pr0n and/or pr0n of themselves, some extremely creepy stuff (Girls taking pictures of their... "cubbyhole"), and some gay pr0n which creeps me out too. Some mutilated people, too.
