July 21, 200817 yr I know that some 'buyable' skills such as fletching and cooking are easier compared to other skills. This was the precise reason why I trained fletching. At that time of training fletching I thought that it would be my only 99 skill, as I was too pre-occupied with having fun e.g. pking, clan wars (in old wild), castle wars and some other mini-games. I always try to find the easiest and fastest way to train a skill. Fletching was actually fun as well - I got to chat to friends or the random people who were at the bank. But, when it gets to the point where another player wants to mock your cape, that's pretty sad. July 21, 200817 yr Well after chinning from 87-90 range...I no longer hate the people who buy skills. It still takes a long time (although much less) and is VERY expensive. Is it worth it, idk, but I see no reason in hating them for spending their money that way. Anyways, BBL OFF TO SLEEP WITH A RACCOON
July 21, 200817 yr In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with it. If you've got the money, hell, why not? You worked to get that money in the first place. I think it's ridiculous that anyone should look down upon a "bought" skill. Click here. If you go there good things will transpire.
July 21, 200817 yr could also apply to speeding up certain unbuyables like slayer, woodcut, fishing like if you want 99 woodcutting not so sure on exp rates :| yews 35kish/hr if you started at level 73 then it would make you 28m gp getting 99 but take 343 hours teaks 65kish/hr you wouldnt make money but it would only take 185 hours so thats 159 hours saved!!! 28m/159 = 176k/hr if you can make that money in one hour then u should do teaks not yews just for the money so technacally you could be considered "cheating" to 99 woodcutting as you are sacrificing 28m gp to get it the fast way nothing wrong with training a skill the faster way

EDIT: Now I remember than they nerfed Chins. I remember getting 2-3 levels a DAY in the 93-97 area. July 21, 200817 yr So, since your smithing is level 72, I assume you do all you melee fighting in mithril armor with a mithril weapon (or, possibly, an adamant dagger or mace), that you made yourself, right? Because if you buy things to help you train, that's cheating! Yeah, sounds stupid, doesn't it? So does getting to 99 prayer without buying bones. buying weapons and armour doesn't count. For all you know, I could've fletched my way to lvl 80 and high-alch the bows to get the money (which I did). I didn't buy a single bow and I increased fletching while I was at it to raise the money for my whip/rune/dragon armour. and getting your bones from the dragons you kill yourself doesn't make you look stupid...it makes you richer. So how is your spending money you raised by skilling to help out other skills different than anyone else who does the same, just for a non-combat skill? July 21, 200817 yr I get called a noob/cheater etc on my pure all the time for using an AGS because I'm lvl 73. I earned the money yet it seems I am not entitled to spend it on what I want to. It always strikes me as odd.

It always strikes me as odd. so you are called a noob/ cheater because you earnt money for an armadyl godsword and bought it? if you earnt the money yourself spend it as you like. if you like you could buy 10k tinderboxes(wouldn't be useful but still your choice) \
July 21, 200817 yr I always level my skills up the quickest way possible except combat where I use slayer. I earnt the money I have so I have the right to spend it how I like. I don't see anything wrong with buying skills, if you have the money do it.
July 21, 200817 yr Nothings wrong with it. It's just people who can't afford to buy them whining about it. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
July 22, 200817 yr Whats money for, if we can't use it... Well, use it without "cheating" Imagine if it was like this IRL.... Doomy edit: I like sheep
July 22, 200817 yr It's all about will and determination. All you have to do is put some effort to the game to get rich. Such as: Doing lvl 3 clues, godwars solo or other. I use to have nothing when i was too lazy to put some effort on and surprise after i spend few hours on moneymaking the difference is huge. Also, don't be afrade to spend your money on skilling, because if you don't, you will get bored of the game and quit eventually. For low level people who can't solo godwars, you could just solo DK rex. I did that when i was lower level and earned over 40 million. Total amount of rare drops: 220 ~ Earned over 1.5 Billion from Godwars DungeonRanked 14th in Construction + Best construction level in Finland.
July 23, 200817 yr well people dont understand that you still have to make the money to buy the skills and I think that it can be just as mentally draining to spend 60 hours chinning in ape attol dungeon as it would be getting 99 range the "old way" at fire giants. Most of the time you buy skills there is no variety in what you are doing.
July 23, 200817 yr i maintain that if anyone criticizes someone for pcing then that person should not use any shortcuts to gain levels such as guilded altars. hypocrisy.
July 23, 200817 yr Runescape has become a competition and a means for people to show off online and get respect online. It's not a game to everyone anymore.
July 24, 200817 yr i maintain that if anyone criticizes someone for pcing then that person should not use any shortcuts to gain levels such as guilded altars. hypocrisy. I don't see why people get so worked up about PCing anyway, the exp has been nerfed now and if people wanted to get really fast exp instead of Slayer exp or cash from monster drops why should they say it isn't alright? I agree with you.

I agree with you. It was more of the fact that most people who PC'd their stats spent so much time at PC that they ignored other aspects of the game and therefore lacked "common sense" Especially the influx of pures from PC who contributed to ruining the wilderness... they had awesome stats but when they realized they couldn't PK for [cabbage] they resorted to starting a fight by wasting all 4 specs, failing to KO you, then running away or tele'ing and calling you a noob
July 24, 200817 yr There is nothing whrong with buying skills but there are a lot of ppl who can't buy a 99 skill. So they are a bit yealous I guess and that's why they say: You've got to work for your skill and not just buy it.

Hmmm...He said there was nothing wrong with buying skills. And I also consider skill buying to be okay. You always buy FM. You could choose to sell the logs you cut for, let's say 20M, but you don't want to and you burn them, so you lost 20M. Basically, it cost you the same thing than someone who bought all the way...
